New sub, we're doing the very same or similar thing. Bought land in 2017 built in 22. Just trying to be sustainable. You're the only person I've ever heard sound so excited about growing wheat besides myself hahaha.

For clay soil you need to add pelletized gypsum that you can get from the feed stores. It will help break up the clay and also need to add compost, compost and compost.

when we were kids in the 1960s we had a pet rooster (chirpy chirpy cheep cheep)
One day he was chasing my little sister aged abt 5 and trying to jump up on her .
she came racing into mum, yelling.
HELP HELP Mum , Chirpy is trying to make me lay eggs 🤣🤣

In the evening my dad would sit in his recliner and watch TV and have a few beers. He would put his glass on the floor and fall asleep.
Well that was chirpy's chance to drink some beer.
Next minit he was staggering around the house doing cartwheels and back flips.

We all getting ready to start a New Year. I don't know about anyone else but January is the time that I begin to plan my gardening. And what I'm going to plant. I do crop rotation in my garden every year. If I plant corn in one area of my garden the year before then the next following year I will plant green beans or my corn was the year before and where green beans was the year before is where I plant my corn the next following year. The reason behind this is the same reasons why farmers do crop rotation every year to prevent nematodes and corn bars. Plus by planting my green beans for my corn was the year before reestablishes nitrogen back in the area. And in the area where I plant my tomatoes the year before I will plant turnips in that area and then I will plant my tomatoes in the area where I have my turnips at the year before. Beautiful home and land. Just wanted to let you know the shrub, I it was a blueberry, that was planted right next to the telephone pole post May struggle because of what they treat them with. That was my experience with trying to grow my stuff by them.

This is the first video of your's I have watched. Amazing content. I will subscribe. I think you should insulate the walk in chicken coop. It can only be good for them. Put a small ramp on the re entrance. In the gardening department all I suggest you do in the future is remember #1 thing.. Your Growing Soil That's All.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What You Reap Is A Wonderful Bonus, as long as you keep it FREE of all the destructive ( Pestidies etc etc ) and evil stuff. Safe Journey.

I liked this little snippets of your channel. I just came across it like 2 days ago because of the name Allegheny. I grew up in Maryland and the last place I lived was Hagerstown. I know you're in wva. And I probably already asked,. But where in WVA. I have family in Martinsburg and harpers ferry, and some who just sold their place in Berkley wv. This makes me homesick..... Until I see the snow and cold weather. I'm in Florida now. LoL
Thanks! The snow and mud is my least favorite thing about WV! But otherwise, I absolutely love how beautiful the state is. I'm quite familiar with all the places you named! Sadly, with how careful you have to be nowadays, we don't reveal our exact location. 😒 But the Allegheny's aren't that big, so it gives you a pretty good idea 😎 We actually used to live on the Mississippi gulf coast, and the thing we miss the most is sailing the gulf! Hope you're enjoying the wonderful weather down there!
