Until CDMusic finishes making the official theme for Draedon's Exo Mechs fight, this theme is also acting as a placeholder theme for that fight for the time being! And so is part of the official Calamity Mod Music mod for now- hope you guys ain't disappointed by this! ^~^
What is Infernum mod?
Infernum mod is an extension mod for Calamity that adds an extra difficulty - "Infernum", that's harder than Death mode, with a primary focus on expansive reworking of boss AIs.
So yeah, starting from now this mod will have custom music!
There'll be more boss themes coming, but unlike the mechs the boss themes they will be more generalized, each track playing for multiple bosses instead of being personalized for specific bosses. Put simply, the mod will have its own version of Boss 1, Boss 2, Boss 3 etc. though it won't strictly follow the same formula as vanilla tracks. I may give more bosses a unique theme if they're important enough to receive one, but we'll see.

I'm pretty sure this is not intended, but I love how the theme is mostly possitive. Some other themes in Calamity are used not to depic the actual fight you are experiencing, the very moment you are in, but the background or motivations that revolves around said fight. For example, against Yharon, the music is telling you how Yharon came to be there and why you both have ended up fighting against each other. This song has something heroic about it, as if it represents the player taking an important step in order to close the gap between them and Yharim. This is what finally catapults the mc to its final goal; Draedon says it: i cannot help you reach the Tyrant, but im sure you'll find a way, as you always have.

No matter what anyone says to me, this is one of my favorite pieces of the calamity soundtrack. It suits a machine so damn well and each mech having their own part to the theme is so good and when it all kicks in together it's incredible. Fighting the mechs to this theme will always be an unforgettable experience for me.

Absolutely. Frantically trying to dodge all their bullshit on Death Mode is certain an experience. All the metal clanking from the hits, Thanatos venting steam, that sort of wooden laugh when the other mechs arrive.

I swear, the only thing people read in the title is "(Also Exo Mechs Placeholder)".
This is originally meant for an addon for Calamity known as "Infernum". This theme is meant to play during the Mechanical Bosses' boss fights.
If you have absolutely no idea what Infernum is, it's a mod which makes significant changes to the AI of vanilla / Calamity bosses possibly giving them overhauls, much like TRAE project.

-Draedon is literally running a stress test experiment on you
-The robotic movements of Area, Apollo, and Artemis
-The aforementioned mechs being fixed on certain spots of the screen, making aiming a non-issue
-the MUSIC
-the CLANGCLANGCLANGCLANGCLANG of hitting them

The more I listen to this the more I think it’s my favourite Calamity Track, as sacrilege as it may be.
Many many many moments in games are either made or destroyed by the music that accompanies them, and Calamity’s (current) climax is just.. superb. This song/fight & SCal/Brutal, Stained back to back is such an experience.

honestly this would be an amazing mech boss fight, imagine a similar yet sightly different theme for each mech boss. and if all 3 are summoned at once, the theme would play this full one, but each time the theme goes to a certain mech boss' part, the other 2 mech bosses reduce in aggression while the one who's theme is playing could increase their aggression.

This song has so much personality and matches the exo mechs so well! I also like how this is much more positive than the other themes in Calamity. The player is already used to fighting gods, he contacted draedon on his own will to fight the mechs just to gather new gear and to maybe even have fun(?). For draedon this fight isn't exactly that serious either, he's just testing the capabilities of his new toys, he has nothing against the player. Maybe I just made all of that up, I wouldn't know.

Might be my opinion but I honestly love this as the exo mechs theme way more than the other one I'm glad it's a placeholder still but would love to see it stay that way as the first time I fought the mechs on death mode calamity I felt extremely full adrenaline and excitement unlike anything I felt before it hits hard in the right ways of powerful, mechanical, and very nostalgic.
I am in no way saying the infernium exo mechs are bad I just prefer this one overall
