Love how they turned this into a final test before the boss rush instead of being completely optional. on top of it's music being very reflective in a way it has that vibe in it's quiet moments. A creature stronger than things that devour gods and lesser gods caused by nature alone.

Wow. Jared is intense! I love the title theme motif and the "werrrowoww" noise from portal! I love the drums and the chaotic feeling! I love the feeling at the end of the song that's like, "you've made it this far, don't give up now." Another AMAZING piece as always Pin!!!
" as the pressure gets heavier and light begins to fade you look down into the abyss only to find that something was staring back at you the entire time" Seriously this is an absoulute banger though
I'm noticing that the Sky After Rain motif plays in a lot of Infernum boss themes now, which is really cool! Thank you for blessing us with the Infernum soundtrack PinPin 🙏🙏🙏
This theme reminds you of where it ends; I am also thinking of the Endworm from Barotrauma and how you meet the Doom version of it upon finishing the Early Access build Campaign. It wasn't easy getting to this point, and it can bring tear to your eyes. Whether that comes from appreciation of the journey or the eye-watering amount of health they have, maybe both.
reminds me of a more creepier abyss themed version of ones ending, anothers beginning. good job pin another great track! (and you gotta love the buildup at the start)
Incoming big introspective on this theme. TL;DR, amazing work as always and we've gotten a segmented boss to finally slither around on the editing front. Also great choice of the Terminus. The initial chords of Void and Hadopelagic Pressure at the start sound very menacing. While the simple two piano keys scream instant terror, those chords really felt like something deep within the abyss was awoken. The song after that is great as well, foreboding as if you were facing an ancient sea monster. And well, you are. Against probably the strongest creature nature has birthed and grown. The arpeggio before the Sky After Rain motif really felt like Eidolic Ancestry from the Lunatic Cultist. Tapping into magic nearly as old as the world itself. Then comes the Terminus section. It sounds and feels otherworldly, especially considering who the artifact is tied to. On top of that, it's practically different compared to every other section in this, as if the Terminus has taken hold over this mighty beast. It wasn't sealed away, it was left stranded at the bottom and the light within seeks to claim jared as a means of which to continue His will. Of course the Eidolon Wyrm fought back, becoming the warden from which no one would dare to misuse the Terminus, but now it subjected itself whole to the influence of the artifact. It makes the last section really feel like the wyrm was finally relieved of its self-imposed duty, setting it free. Of course thats by culling it, but an eternity of watching over a stone enchanted with primordial light can be just as painful if not more. While Threats of the Ocean Floor had that initial fear factor and embodiment of The Abyss, this added a sense of character and story to a boss that could at times be overlooked due to not being a regular or super boss anymore. Incredible job on this. Lastly, those time signatures go a bit crazy.
"The first Wyrm, blessed by the Goddess of Life with unfathomable power, was given the purpose of stopping any who use the stolen powers of light. It would have even tried to strike down the wielder of the Primordial Light itself to stop them from reclaiming their artifact. And yet, even with all it's might, it wouldn't have nearly been enough."
unrelated to the music- i really enjoy that each segment on the wyrm's sprite is animated, as opposed to just being a distorted png like other worm boss theme videos
Holy hell thats an intense somg. Grandoise indeed. I really love the uneven rhythms in the first third of the song and the Sky After Rain/Storm Before the Dawn motifs towards the central part of the theme. I was surprised not to catch any Threats of the Ocean Floor (I do hear a small moment of Void at the start very prominently), but I'd expect it's there somewhere. Lots of dissonance through the track but the transitions from those dissonant clashing sections to the SAR/SBD are some of my favorite parts in this. If I had to give a critique however its that I just want MORE from those "angry parts" (maybe I just like that kind of style too much, I WANT to say to add trombones or tubas especially to but they sound so weird when emulated with MIDI and I'm not sure how they'd truly fit, would have to mess around with it myself). Anyways great song regardless and good job!
Addendum: The first few chords are exactly what I was looking for in that sort of intensity (maybe I'm looking for longer sections rather than necessarily more intense?). Sometimes it takes me a few runs to actually "hear" a song. This definitely the "finale" feel and considering it's place in the mod that makes complete sense.
Absolutely gorgeous piece as always. I really like how much more prominent the sky after rain motif has become over the last few months, really helps all the tracks feel connected to each other. I'm also not sure but I feel like I heard a couple of small bits of the Lunatic Cultist's theme here which I thought was cool. The void and Hadalpelagic Pressure bits were really nice touches, and it all comes together to create an atmosphere of pure dread. Only 3 tracks to go now, and I'm looking forward to them very much, especially with how you've been raising the bar track after track recently. The third vocal track in particular is very exciting, wondering where it'll fit - perhaps an interlude, or a credits sequence?
"an ancient depth, forgotten by time, lost by evolution and defiant to the very laws of nature itself", or so the story goes. you've always dreamt about the depths, its siren call to our deadly curiosity, and the eldritch horrors it holds. when you descend in below the surface, you notice the creatures start becoming more and more otherworldly, then, it all just... stops. you reach the deepest layers of this abyss and attempt to chart it, but it seems to go on forever, or you've already mapped it all, everything blends together to much. you then fell your feet hitting the seafloor of the hadal depths. as you explore, you see a large, odd shaped stone in the murk. you reach to grab the stone, until you hear it. 0:00 you look up, and it is blinding; an ancient serpent spoke of only in scriptures of old, with the armor too make even the oldest of gods shiver. its bioluminescence is almost entrancing to you, and now you understand the fear of the deep. a writer is known for his wild myths of old gods, and one quote always stuck to you, and now you understand the origin; "a mountain walked, or stumbled"
