This song saved my life. I've always been a fan of Bruce but for some reason had never heard this song. It started playing just as I was about to do something stupid. Forever thankful for whatever luck it was that it did and for Bruce!

This video was comfort for me when I had none from anywhere else. Thanks Bruce.
It's incredible that Bruce at this point in his career - as a tried and true world-beater - had the desire (and humility) to use his platform to deliver that message. What a special human.

I absolutely love the E Street band but this 92-93 tour with this "other" band brings so much of a different vibe to Bruce's music for some of his songs. The backup singers adds so much of the R&B tone that Bruce talked about in his book in his early days before Born to Run. This song, "Man's Job", and even "better Days" to an extent is gloriously so different with this R&B feel.

I love this man and his family! So down to earth, real and creative. I have been a Jersey girl listening and loving since I first heard him and e street when I was 16 years old. I even used his music to explain existential points in my AP English class in 1978.. Got an A
Darkness on the Edge of town, In Candy's room, Thunder Road all used in my AP existential paper. Got an A +

This LITERALLY saved my life not that long ago.
I still believe this song is for people who suffer from anxiety disorder and philophobia like Bruce did when he was afraid to commit to Patti. He was afraid of failure and disappointing her. He didn't want to be the burden his father left him in. 😔 This song has so profound with meaning.

Excellent song. I have never understood the choices made on this Plugged CD. I mean, instead of Man's Job and Light of Day they could put jewels like Roll of the Dice and the Big Muddy on it. Luckily all songs are on the DVD.

Fuck, what a song, what a performance. Ive been listening Bon Jovi since always came out, every day. And by 2019 i knew only two Bruce's songs. Someday at work driving a truck i heard The River i fell in love with that song. Then another and another. Now, after 2years I know maybe 15 and love them all. I dont want to listen all his songs straight away although i could. I want to discover his songs one by one and slowly. This one was another yt recomendetion and its fucking awsome. I never though i would stop listening BJ but seems like Bruce suits me better these days. Funny thing, these days i one of my very favourite BJ songs. Used to listen that every morning before going to school.
