Hey Everyone,
In today's video, we're putting our F80 M3 back on the dyno to see how much my ProTuningFreaks Bootmod3 Stage 1 tune REALLY gave us! Please keep in mind, Dyno runs are most accurate when testing on the same day and conditions (which we did here). Also, the best way to read the data isn't to just go off the highest number but to look at the average gains. As you can see by our independent testing, we are SUPER excited to see these gains! We knew it would be a good bump in horsepower, but we had no idea that the torque would be so insane!

I love my stage 1. Got it through Kies. Makes a massive difference! You can definitely feel the torque
You need to do a full E85 tune just for fun it's absolutely crazy torque!!!
I would like to do a stage one on my F80 M3 competition but don't know anyone reputable in London to do crack hub upgrade. By the way Tommy don't sell your M3 it's going to be a classic with all the new regulations on newer cars.
Plus how we going to get any new M3 content if you sell.

This is exactly what I have on my 2016. I've been telling people it has over 500hp based on the percentage gains bootmod3 gives, so the 460 is a bit disappointing, but sweet mother Mary, that torque is wild. Now to get that crank hub done!

Great video. Looking to flash my M2C, but still have the ECU locked. In the meantime I do have Racechip GTS an at the dyno last week I got 465WHP and 470tq. Not bad for now.

allen nf noise and driving feeling. Came from an e92 now I have a f82. E92 just drives nicer and sounds 100x better

Great even a stage 1 tune in EU gives it a 60-70 hp more and 550 ibft (crank). Wagner tuning makes great intercooler upgrade for it.

Should be 520-530hp to the crank, more or less same tq as stage 1. A gearbox remap does a lot for this car.
I love that your doing these kind of videos these are always thing I’m wondering, on how much hp/torque gains should be expected from mods. Keep up the good work!

More power is great, but when you drive on public road, so much torque so early just spins the wheels constantly. Can BootMod3 do a custom tune where they would introduce torque more gradually?

I can’t wait you guys are answering all my questions!!! I have a f80 with gts flash i have a garret charecooler csf heat exchanger and i stepped up to ngk step colder plugs. I’m curious to see if the charge cooler adds any hp or if cat backs add power

I would love to go to BM3 Stage 1 software only (~$600) but crank hub fix is $4k+ for my 2015 M4. I know stock tune can experience this problem but tuned will increase that chance. I guess I have to pay to play. :(

My m4 already suffers with traction issues! Definitely doesn't need more torque, shame it can't boost the bhp to that level and keep the torque increase minimal.
Do you have non comp and pss tyres?
You can do that. If you use the boost by gear feature and just reduce it to a flat rate for each gear once tuned, imagine 80% for each gear you should have near stock torque but be making the 520+ hp once revs pass 5000 rpm.

So upgrading the crankhub is a preventative measure?
Yes it is, crankhubs are known for failing on the S55’s which can grenade the engine

dyno numbers are great, but what boost level and what are the AFRs looking like? Any knock? Why does the bimmer world ignore the necessary info when it comes to tuning?
So if we do the crankhub and charge pipe how safe is it to daily this tune?
Great vid Brian..I have the Stage 1 93 on my 2017 M3 ZCP Just with Charge pipe upgrades. I haven't Dyno but expect I am pushing close to 500HP and 550 TQ.....Is that realistic? My butt dyno tells me there is a huge difference from stock!!. Keep up the great work..
This is the lowest I’ve seen stage 1, even for a dynapack and they usually read like dynojet. M4s are typically between 480-505whp on dynojets.

How safe is this. I need a new crank huh for my competition , but the intake and a few other upgrades are apparent between base and comp.

What about the recommended spark plug change with the tune? can you do bolt-on by bolt-on dynos ? We all end up FBO anyways, lol. What will you make with tune, intakes, downpipe, j-pipe, charge pipes??

Just did my stage one from bootmod3 on my f80 M3, and it’s producing 640 HP. It’s my first tuning, not sure if that’s normal
45hp more to the hubs. Not Wheels wheels and tires weight can actually make a huge difference in power to the ground also.
That's not like how physics work. Rotational mass only consumes power to speed up, but once you are at you target speed you don't loose power to rotate it.
With Dynapack, you plug in the wheel dimensions and weight and it adds it to the calculation

Dumb question, I’ve been out of the scene for a bit. But doesn’t a friction based crank hub protect against a money shift? As in, it would slip if the car was mishifted and overrevved saving the valvetrain

you need custom tune car will run a lot smoother and you gain a lot more power My M4 With full exhaust intake’s 560whp and 590tq On the mustang dyno on e40 and 23psi
Hey brain are you going to do a stage 2? I just have catless downpipes in my car and haven’t had the time to dyno it. But on my upgraded sports display from bm3 it reads 490-500hp and 550tq idk if that’s accurate lol
