Great video mate, just a few things. 1) For 20-70 you are better starting in 2nd gear even though it bogs a bit at the start, 2) 20-70 is a bit of an unfortunate range for these tests, 30-70 would have been better as it only requires 2nd and 3rd in most cars and will even things out a bit between AWD and RWD.
@@Riley-rk5jp Because no one in their right mind would buy it and it doesn’t qualify for extended warranty. CS f80/2 is the only model from that generation that is perfect in standard form. Well done mate. 👏👏👏You beat my 100-200km/hr by a mile even without the tune 👀 My best was 8.83. 🙄 I also wouldn’t change anything on the car. I ain’t even tuning mine. 🤷🏾♂️
I found I did my best 100-200 when it was super cold, ie got 8.31 in N55 e90 335i, which can be seen on my channel, however that is with a hybrid turbo compressor and e30 ethanol mix, these engines love ethanol
Hi Calvin. Great video as ever. Are you able to say how much it cost for the S1 tune. Ball park figure is fine. How much does it affect your fuel consumption too assuming you have an indication of this.
Depends where you get it done mate. For a good tune at a well known tuner probably about £500+. Fuel probably won’t affect it, only when foot is to the floor as your dumping more fuel and air in, hence the extra power
Loving the CS 🙌🏼 I’m surprised at your remap figures.. seem really low to me.. my M3 comp made 532bhp & 586 ft ibs torque.. massive gains over the stock map & changed the car
Hi Paul - I am thinking mapping my M3 comp, but I am hesitant as I have heard there is a lot of wheel spin when going through the first 2 gears, was this the case when you made the map? Did you by chance make any adjustments to the power ratios within the gears?
Still good numbers Bruv". Definitely lower it a tad as you have done wheel spaces & it would just complete the look plus they are all easily removable items to return it to stock .
@@CalvinsCarDiary had it in my m135. and the funny yhing was, going through the cars history someone had already taken it to bmw to have it fixed. BMWS AYYYY
I never get this 20 to 70mph surely you should be rolling upto 20mph then pinning the throttle till you hit 70mph you start from a stand still so surely it would make more sense just to do 0 to 60mph
There's nothing wrong with Super Sports sick of this argument. Yes the 4s have marginally better wet grip but they are a lot softer on the sidewalls and feel softer compared to super sports. Super sports are still a very good road tyre they have not been replaced by the 4s they run alongside them.
Does anyone know why BMW find it impossible to actually get traction with their cars? I think you should do the same 20-70 in the wet Calv just for the lols. Loving the mods done so far to.
well mainly because theyre not meant to have that much power (reason as to why people shouldn't remap them as they already have enough power from factory) and the super sports are dog tyres anyway.
To be honest it isn't that they don't get traction but what you find is the way they gear their cars combined with the torque is what causes you to spin up. When you drive them fast they're confidence inspiring in the corners
I wouldn't have bothered even it was free never mind pay for it! You've made a wonderful car from factory more sketchy and hardly gained any performance. Rubbish.
i think this being a cat car. you should go all out with tuning, people whop maybe wouldnt buy a cat car might be more welcoming to it if its running crazy power! plus the little upgrades youve already done, get this car to DMS automotive!!
I agree if someone is buying categorized car they wouldn't mind if it's tuned as well. If it was clean title then it would be better left stock, but the car has been in pieced already.
i know you go through cars like a madman but keep this one, hide it somewhere dry, love the CS
Don't do it calv agree it looks too high but it's a CS ultimate machine leave suspension as is mate 👍

Absolutely Love that CS. Should hold it’s value well. So makes it a better buy if you can afford it over the competition
Unless you stage 1 it. Destroyed that cars value.

Try doing your 20-70 starting in 2nd gear … from a slow roll
100-200kph is a far better test of performance.. on a private road of course 😉😁
I’d be tempted to take off in 2nd for the 20-70 test.
Calvin, do you think the wheel spacers are affecting your power gain? Keep it up mate! Thank you!

Calv what’s going on with E46 M3?
I must say, having had super sports on my 3 series I thought they were pretty good in the dry, that is in comparison to p-zero’s I had before though 😆
Try MDM from 2nd gear mate as those tires can’t really handle the power

You roll through 20 rather than start at 20 and then accelerate if that makes sense, same method as 100-200.
Without the weight, getting AF tuned can make you late.

I agree about the tyres, especially in the uk.

@@whippinwitT nope totally disagree. In wet corners they're shocking regardless of tyres!
The OG m2 with the n55 puts the power down so much better than m cars with the s55 my tuner said it’s to do with their torque delivery I believe.
