- This video covers the steps I took to TEST and REPLACE the Reverse Parking Sensors in my Ford Explorer (2002). I go over how to TEST the Reverse Sensors in my Ford Edge (2013) and Ford Explorer (2002) - the process is pretty much UNIVERSAL. I go over the how to REPLACE the Reverse Sensors in my Ford Explorer (2002) which should be good for Years 2002 thru 2010 and very similar for other Makes & Models of Fords. I'll show you where I got my parts (AmazonPrime) - what I paid for the Set of 4 - and how much it would cost to have the Dealership do this for you. The Reverse Parking Sensors I purchased were Part Number 4F23-15K859-AA...which are used in many Ford Models in the 2000s.
I don't even own a Ford explorer but because you did such a great job, I watched it anyway lol
You explain things well, so it’s easy to follow your directions! Good job
I appreciate you making this video. Very detailed which certainly helps. Its nice to see a guy trying to help others. Finally did my sensors today.
Great video. Big help. I have a 2003 Explorer. And I had no problem diagnosing and replacing the sensors after watching this vedio.👍
Thank you so much for making this video. I replaced the ones on my 2002 this morning. Working perfectly now. Yay!!!
More power to you, you go girl!
I appreciate this video SOOO much I was looking for a video on how to replace my rear bumper cover on a 2004 Ford explorer and ran into this video, then I realized I also needed to replace my rear sensors so I killed two birds with one stone again thank you so very much for your 2 videos in one great job👍👍👍👍.
Thnx Bro I can now fix my truck reverse sensors that I had done in 2014 & they charged me $1800 to replace 1 damn sensor smdh. I was in an accident so the other person insurance paid for it, however I could've kept most of that money had I known it was this easy to replace.
Great Video - The only bad thing about this video is your Cowboys cap LOL!
Great video. Very detailed. I owned an 03 explorer and I have the same problem. I know what to do now 👍
Thanks Scott For your extremely helpful video...Best regards
Great sense of humor.
Wow, 👍👍👍 awesome great video. Thank you for your time and effort.
Beautiful video. Thanks for taking the time in making it.
I need to repair my 2008 Mercury Mariner. Thanks for testing part. I looked under my bumper . I don’t think I have to take the bumper off. Will verify.
Great vid...You should do a part II and cover checking for continuity.
Good Job !! Thanks
I did notice that the parking assist light remained lit when you got out of the car to go listen to them. Maybe all four of them are bad.
Thank you so very much for your incredibly detailed video 5 stars service indeed! not bad sound track either ; )
Good job thank u
for ur time sir
Excelente video gracias
I just bought a 2013 ford explorer for a work car. But the backup camera and it says check rear parking aid. So my guess it’s not the camera. That it’s a fuse or I have a sensor or even the harness might not be working correctly.
6.0 diesel 😃 I want to know what you’ve done to give it that power
Good morning nice video have same 🚘. Need help not working reverse only to the front you now with is the problem
thanks, excellent video congratulations, my name is Marcioni Brant I'm from Brazil, I have a ford Explorer Limited 2004/2005 please, can you let me know if she offers me all the harness to install the parking assistant sense? thanks
So do you test the newer style the same way?
Hey Scott how do I turn on my parking assist on? The button has the off light on. I think my electrical guy must of hit something. HELP ?!
Hi I just tried your system to get it to click and I can't get mine to stay off long enough to click
Are the sensors all still working good?
I sold the car 2 years ago - they were still working at that time.
I can actually hear it In the video.
hi - no clicking on any of them... 2nd time replaced. anything else?
The 4 Sensors are wired in PARALLEL - if one fails they all 4 will fail. You issue could be the Wiring Harness among the 4 Sensors is Grounded or Broken - you will need to check for Continuity.
@@scottfarrar3441 this makes no sense, if it's parallel they all won't stop working when one goes bad. Even your own video proves this. You had 2 bad and 2 good ones
chock not chalk
I replaced all 4 sensors on my 04 ford explorer and didnt work at all
The 4 Sensors are wired in PARALLEL - if one fails they all 4 will fail. You issue could be the Wiring Harness among the 4 Sensors is Grounded or Broken - you will need to check for Continuity. Also, although rare - the issue could be the SPEAKER is not working...or the PAM (Park Assist Module) has failed. These 2 items are located in the Rear Cargo area (Passenger side).
What if you had your emergency brakes on and it won't go and drive or reverse mom
