Isn't it crazy that it's us addicts who find our calling in public service after we gain a little clarity. All we wanna do is help other people after we walk through the storm and come out the other side alive. Such a stigma placed on those who have suffered from the disease of addiction, yet still such an intense desire we have to help our fellow humans. Even after our exhausting, numerous battles, Ls, and victories!! To your point...With every chapter completed comes a brand new, exciting chapter that you can only genuinely appreciate if you've gone through the shit.
