This song is stunning and brings back very dark memories for me. It cannot be overstated how much you are helping me and so many others on the slippery slope of recovery. On a lighter note, this is the first rap I have ever loved.

Just hit 11 years sober in April. Alcohol and pills. Almost drank myself to death. Was bleeding internally and liver wss in bad shape. Doctor said if I got to the hospital 12-24 hours later I would of died. Thought it was the flu then things got bad. I prayed while I had blood transfusions and more going on that if I walk out I'll never get messed up again. I walked out and honored my prayers. Life with a clear head is amazing!! To any one 1 hour-20years sober, I'm proud of you. Anyone who's struggling trying to get sober, I believe in you. I love you. YOU MATTER. You've got this. The product today is super dirty. Don't let it win, pleas. GOD BLESS!!!

It's not easy, mind plays tricks on you, then you start to lie to yourself (the pill demon) start to plan out how you can take one, drink one, and not be affected. It's a mental struggle because you are used to lying to yourself. But I made a promise to my higher power. Lost great friends man. As we all have. Everybody in the states are affected knowing someone who didn't make it out and it sucks badly. We need a new plan for our people. Fund our own on out soil. People need resources, help, shoulder of ppl they can trust, and love. I'm praying for that to happen on a larger scale. This disease needs a cure.

Bless you I love truthfulness and brutal honesty. I still go to meetings and listen to folks like you. Can't stand the ones that glorify the drugs all that comes with it. I was a banger and had a threat against my son told to me, he was 3 and half he is now 33 I'm proud to say I haven't put one needle in my body. And yes I'm open to him about my drug use. He's always admired my will power to just stop something, I thank him and also tell him it's not my will power it's the love I have for him. Don't get me wrong I have used other drugs off and on, will not let them or anything else have power over me. My life my journey. I'm 58 and enjoyed the journey of raising my son and thank him all the time for saving my life. Being there even to this day. You sir are amazing as a parent mostly as a person. You have a gift of speaking words never change that. Speaking as you do is what we need make us use our minds making us responsible for the whole person we are. Love you and will have you playing all the time.
