- Doug Hannon is a legend in the bass fishing world. He's the thinking man's bass fisherman. Doug shares what he believes to be the best colors for your boat and clothes. He also shares some other tips for ultimate stealth while fishing.
The Bass Professor... Taught me everything I needed to know to catch Big Bass. Still use the f11 Rapala silver minnow to this day and catch Donkeys. Caught my first Lunker on a blue Rapala over 40 years ago.RIP Doug Hannon.
Doug was one of my heroes and also Canadian born to boot. RIP Bass Professor.

This looks like the ICAST show in Orlando 8 years ago. I was at that show and I also met and spoke with Doug. He might even have been wearing that same shirt? He talked for a long time with me. He really liked his new micro line guides as he talked about those for a while.

Lots of people don’t know who that man is. He’s a complete bad a&@ in bass fishing. Very smart man. Caught lots of huge fish
let him talk have hung out and talk with hannon for hrs at few shows in the 80s he talks let him and listen
Yellow may be a warning color, but I've caught a lot of Bass on yellow baits. But the man is on with the silhouette and colors above the waterline. I don't think a bright colored boat will make a difference difference in dirty water.
I watch him for years Doug was the best put a lot hours on the water really knew his stuff I rember him using the trick worm in Maryland we modified the trick worm and still use it today youknow he caught more 10 pound bass than anyone in the bass fishing world hats off to you Doug R.I .P I will always rember you when ever I use the trick worm !!!!

@@elonmust7470 yes, had a friend in the industry do boat shows with Doug. He would just tell me Doug would sit at the bar after the show and get smashed each night. Sat alone

I don’t understand the connection.
If you listen to Doug’s early videos you know he had that college theory of “millions of years ago”. Which told me he didn’t believe in God. It is hard enough to go through life for me if I thought I was just here by chance. That the whole world was here by chance. I don’t know how a man can look at all of Creation and the perfection of it and say “yeah this all just happened like winning the Lottery”.
And that is exactly how those very smart people think.
I theorize when his wife died he just gave up. I have a seen a lot of men do that.
A great fisherman that did lose his wife to cancer but is back professional fishing is Mark Menéndez. I never heard him say it. But I guarantee you he believes in God.
Now I am not talking about going around and trying to save the world. Just a belief that there is more to this world than what we see.
I think Doug lacked that. IMHO. And opinions are like asssholes we all got 1.

(Question to all) I use this to lead or sow a seed into a person's life so that they oneday see Jesus as lord and savior for all mankind.
When I said Doug could drink it was not to take away from Doug and what he has done, just stating he could hold his one.
