    Paul's lawn game is still going strong! The turf is looking healthy and there are not a whole lot of issues to tackle. In this video, Paul goes over how well his application was from the previous video and discusses a pretty common problem with home owners, over mixing and over applying herbicides.

    Too true man! Read that label back to front. Herbicide can be harmful stuff if you don't apply it correctly. Good kill on those weeds too, great results.

    Thanks for the videos I have learned a lot since the series started. One question i do have is how do you know what type of grass you have. I purchased the house with the lawn started by the previous owner. I know i'm in the transitional area for south jersey, so the owner could have went either way for the type of grass. I have spray a little for weeds but i always go to the low side of the mix since i don't know the grass type.

    Just finally caught up with all your episodes. Love the aerial views. Have you thought about adding edging along sidewalks and your Hosea beds? Might make mowing and lawn spread more pronounced. I have used milorganite for two full seasons now and am extremely pleased with results. I think you will too. Thanks for ID of annual blue grass. Have large section in back yard that I will now be able to work on now it is identified. Have fun in the lawn. Carl.

      Thanks Carl! I have really enjoyed making the series and have learned tons!!! I have been holding off on doing anything with those beds because we are having our siding replaced and painted. Been TONS of work and a long drawn out process, but it is almost done. As soon as they are finished, I plan on making some proper garden beds there and cleaning it all up. Glad the videos were helpful. I think that product I used for the blue grass is discontinued, sadly. But our CS Staff could recommend something equally as good to take care of it. Best of luck with taking care of that back yard! Everyday in the lawn is a fun day.

    Sounds like they probably put it down when temps were too hot and burned the lawn.

    Here is a question that I haven't been able to get a straight answer too yet. When the product label says not to apply the product when outside temps will be say 90 degrees. Would it be better to apply in the early morning before it gets hot or the late evening after it has cooled off some?

    • @domyown

      We would recommend you treat early in the morning before the temperature gets too hot to allow the application to dry completely. Treating at night can cause the lawn to stay wet too long and cause a fungus or insect infestation.

    Good video I realize this is a lame question but I can’t seem to find the answer. How long should pets and people stay off the lawn after applying. Until it’s dry 4 or more hours?
    Thank you

    • @domyown
      @domyown  3 года назад

      Pets and people need to stay off the treated area for at least a couple of hours to fully allow the product to dry but that is dependent on the sun and how hot it is when you apply.
