Hey Charlie, White Grandma here. We grew up eating smothered cabbage with pig tails, but I've never eaten neckbones. Soul food's going to be my next challenge. 😋
Hey there! Wow that's cool. Let me know how everything turns out. Thanks! :)
Fam, I dropped a few tears looking at this vid.. Ant no place like home...
Me too! Everytime! Been living in Decatur, Georgia for the last 4 years.

Happy this video brought back memories. Thanks!
This is something my family loved to eat. You have me reminiscing My grandmother, grandfather and my great uncles and aunts all lived together. My great Uncle would have a country ham on the table for sanwiches. There would be a pot of neckbones and rice and a pot of beans on the wooden stove. If someone went hunting or fishing or crabbing their might be deer or opossum, snapping turtle or squirrel or steamed crabs or stewed crabs, fried or stuffed Fish. My grandmother made berry wines and dandelion wines, cakes, cookies and pies. There were pickled eggs, veggies, and pigs feet. There was preserved fruits and berries. Plenty of smoked meats and also root veggies in the cellar. It always brings back good memories visiting them there and appreciated how they lived off of the land.Sunday dinners, family gatherings and reunions,Holiday gatherings. All great memories.
Wow that's cool. Happy that this video brought back memories. Thanks so much for sharing your story!

I don't eat beef or pork, but I'll make this for my husband. Thank you Charlie 👨🏾🍳
Cool, let me know how it turns out. You're welcome!
How sweet of you to do this for your husband. I'll never understand how some people simply don't want to cook and share with others. Us southerners look at food as love. You can immediately tell that Charlie loves to cook for people. And the fact that you don't eat beef and pork but serve it to your husband makes me really feel nice. You're an angel and I bet your husband worships the ground you walk on. He should!!
