    I have an uncle that swears by adding ice cubes to his meat, he says it shocks the meat so that it’ll tenderize quicker. New subbie from Lafayette Louisiana❤️

      When do you add the ice cubes ?

    • @AllthingsShannon
      @AllthingsShannon  2 года назад +10

      When you see where the gravy is cooking down and you know you need to add a little bit of water instead of adding water you add the ice cubes. You know ice cubes is water and also ice cubes is sharp like a knife

      What haven’t you heard of using ice cubes. When you’re cooking a gravy and you have to add water to it. Doesn’t ice cubes turn into water YES it turns into water and it also gets it tender from the sharpness🤔😂

      Let them cook until tender about hour forty five minutes. Take a fork and try to pull the meat apart and if it pulls apart then it’s done and the gravy will thicken. I hope that makes sense 😂😂
