Cool idea, but the torque is way too low. The 415 HP sounds close to a scat pack, but torque is what puts you back in your seat, hauls you out of difficult turns in a fun way, and wins short line races. 350-ish foot pounds on a 415 HP car is going to be noticeably more sluggish than the 450-ish torque you'll get off a stock 392.
@@queuerayzy Well isnt that torque number you are using "450-ish" at the motor and not the wheels? If so torque at the wheels would then be 375-ish. These RIPPS put mo fo's back in they seats bro!

Not quite a scat pack, lacking torque and the power delivery is superior in a scat. If you bought an RT and cammed it out for 5 times less you’d be making more power & more torque than this blown v6.

I love how well he explained all the numbers between RWD and AWD cars that come with the 3.6L v6. You’d have to be entirely clueless when it comes to cars if you still don’t understand after watching the video lol, however now I wanna see a 0-60 comparison between this and a 5.7L with similar RWHP and see how that awd stacks up against it lol

Can grab some GTs for ~$28,000 + $5,500 for the Ripp kit = $33,500 for this car? Not a bad deal at all. The GT is respectable stock (despite many people's comments) but this really turns it into an AWD pony car.
knpstrr you can find a rt for 35k and I’m pretty sure you can talk dealer down to 32k then you got your self a strong engine and can slap on more horsepower with a supercharger and the engine can actually handle the horsepower and it last

@@Jmealss392@Jmealss392 I know this is old but I feel I should clarify for any new watchers. The V6 and Hellcat do NOT use the same transmissions; they use the same line of transmissions: ZF-8 speed.
The V6 come with the 845RE (modified 8HP45) while the hellcat comes with the 8HP90. The difference being their torque rating: 45 (450 NM/330 lb.ft) and 90 (900 NM/660 lb.ft). So the V6 can handle about half the torque the hellcat can. The nice part is the 845RE was upgraded by Chrysler (extra friction plates) so it can handle a bit more than it's 45 rating but I wouldn't push it past 400 lb.ft, if even that.
Even with all that, you are limited by the AWD system components (BW 44-40) and that would probably be what breaks first, not your transmission.

I love the top mount sprintex supercharger but the PCM is the issue. It doesn’t come with one but you get the supercharger whine
ALL RIPP Kits come with the tuning package which includes the PCM upgrade and very strong base tune that most run. Additionally with the competitor you would need to run a taller hood as their system interferes with the stock hood. Lastly we offer the Heritage option for a noisy blower whine that tells everyone whats up.
I really Want a challenger gt awd. For a daily driver because I live in Canada and we need fwd or awd to deal with the winter. Unless we got a heavy ass rwd car. Wish the gt came with a 5.7 option. When I rebuild my credit I would love a gt as a daily and turbo or supercharge it.

Fits hood no cutting. Does not change the exhaust tone much at all. You will hear an awesome whirl from the supercharger tho 👍
Hello Ripp Superchargers, I know that the AWD models have some more drivetrain power loss in comparison to the RWD trims. But what if an AWD car is in RWD mode?(A tazer can force to stay in either modes) Would it make the same power in the rear wheels as the RWD cars do then? Thanks.
Probably very close accounting just for some slight loss of the transfer case.

anthony Rocha the awd system is the same as the Grand Cherokee and Durango V6s and we have been supercharging those since 2014 with success. Additionally those clients tow as well as have fun with their RIPP Supercharged vehicle. Launches hard sorry no vid vehicle had already left.
Do I have to buy a new PCM for the kit? Cuz chances are I’m buying one early next year if it does come with it
ALL 2015+ Dodge Chargers, Challengers & 300s will require an unlocked PCM from HP-Tuners. (unlock service included with supercharger kit) once your order is placed you'll receive an e-mail with instructions.
I have a couple of questions. How much psi are you pushing on the dyno with your supercharger and how reliable are these power adders on a stock v6 setup? I should also mention that I am asking this along the lines of buying that bypass kit they have that converts the newer dodge awd system to full time awd. My grand scheme is that I want to pick up a low mileage interceptor police car, service it along with upgrades, and mount a 68-70 charger body right on top of it. This swap has been done before on 2wd model chargers, but I have never seen anyone do it with an awd model.
The 5.7l hemi interceptors are hard to come by, yet the v6 models are all over the place! No one wants them and I only ever see them go for half as much at auction. It makes quite a bit of sense because I'm looking at ripping off the body anyway, so I could care less about the body and pick up a low mileage salvaged cruiser for next to nothing. And the car will already be ripped apart for adding necessary mods.

@@RIPPMODS One thing that I would mention is that the Hemi ECU? PCM? whatever, cannot handle modifications that push the engine past a 25% increase in power. And aftermarket controllers for the Hemi start at 3400 dollars. I'm not sure if this problem persists with all newer Dodge computers across the board with the V6 models. But basically what I am saying to any naysayers on here is that most of what you are asking for your kit includes an engine computer that does not cause catastrophic failure. And your price is more than reasonable, more so with that fact in consideration.

Matthew Duff not one report of a failure. Keeping in mind that we've have the the same drivetrain supercharged on the V6 and V8 Grand Cherokee and Durango from 2014 up. Those clients also tow as well as the occasional drag race.

Been doing research. People are saying to upgrade the exhaust prior to adding any superchargers. Would you agree with that? And would you reccomend any other upgrades, prior to installing the supercharger, that will keep the engine safe?
The exhaust is not necessary but we do manufacturer an awesome system. The system is really complete, you really don't need anything, but we do have an excellent set of more powerful ignition coils you can add while doing your installation.

How does the AWD divvy up the power? When it engages is it a 50/50 split? Or does it add power to the front gradually, as in 80/20% 60/40%, etc.? Is the total 414hp for both front and rear wheels?
on my 2014 300c awd 5.7 the awd kicks in if the temp is below 39 . if you place it in sport mode it is awd . i have heard awd also kicks in when the windshield wipers are in play. people if i am wrong please advise or correct .

Both AWD and RWD are super reliable, the AWD system is the same as the Grand Cherokee and Durango and those guys tow a lot with no issue with drive train at all

Wavy torque curve is stock and due to power distribution front to rear/viceversa on the dyno. Overall it is smooth while on the street/hwy.

Hey RIPP, I may be a poor college graduate at the moment I'm writing this, but when I'm on my feet, and can buy a new vehicle, I'm really interested in a pentastar powered Chrysler product with a supercharger kit.
The hemi guys are so snobby, so it would be a real blast to have something different to mess around with.
I have a question though, do these kits work for fwd applications? I'd love to see a supercharged Chrysler 200 or even a Pacifica. Nothing is funnier than a 400hp mini van.
I'm just wondering what kind of power those transaxles can handle.

You nailed it. It's stupid cold and we warmed it up so a little condensation in stock exhaust. Looks pretty wicked, but it is what it is.
I have a 21 AWD GT...for a heavy bitch and only being a v6...she GOES. 1st gear sucks off a dig tho. But....im soooooo tempted to get her RIPPed. I know it's explained that awd sorta loses some power but....I've raced the SXT...and gap them hard. So I can only imagine with the added power. Sheesh. Not too shabby for a daily lol

The AWD system is very strong, it's the same system as the V6 and V8 Grand Cherokee and Durango and they tow heavy loads.
Here's a stupid question. My 2018 stock Challenger GT maxes out at 131mph. Will that change with your SC?

Ripp does mopar. The xt5 should have lgx which is in camaro also. Overkill supercharger is gm specialists.

I was planning to buy your supercharger for my v6 challlnger 2018 but i watch and read that i might need a new transmission because cant handle the power and tor of the supercharger that the only issues with u guys is that true?
We have over 8000 kits sold worldwide, both the five and eight speed transmissions have proven very strong in the cars and SUVs even when towing. Anyone can over abuse anything and break it, but at this point over all we have less than a 1% fail rate in all 3.6 Pentastar powered vehicles.

Hey ripp guys can I use these on my 2016 Dodge Journey rt awd?
You cannot, your engine is transversal and would require a FWD set up regardless of the Awd. We do not support that configuration yet.
Does the kit come with the tune already on the pcm or would I have to get it tuned after I have the kit installed how does that work?
These kits require your PCM to be unlocked by HP Tuners (a service we provide at no cost to you besides shipping) then our tuning department provides you a base tune for your vehicle via email. From there your vehicle is dyno tuned.

How has the GT's AWD held up to the extra horse power so far? Any hickups in the last 4 months?
The AWD system has been proven for years, we have been selling the AWD kit since 2014 in the Grand Cherokee and Durango. Many of those clients tow trailers and campers. The trans and entire drive-train have proven strong along with the engine.
I new that the GT's AWD system was borrowed from the Charger police cars, but I didn't realize that it shared components with those SUV's. I assumed that the AWD for the cars was a lighter duty system than the trucks.

Best to check with your dealer but majority of the time a supercharger will void factory warranty. No other upgrades are necessary.

Looks like a great set up guys… But, superchargers and turbos on stock engines don’t usually work out you have to build the engine for these power headers. Otherwise you’re just gonna nuke that shit

That much power on an automatic transmission made by Fiat-Chrysler. It’s going to be a great drive for the first 10k miles.
Its ZF transmission and its very, very strong. With over 8000 kits worldwide we have proven the engine and drivetrain are more than up to the task.
RIPP Superchargers that is good to know. I purchased a 2019 Challenger GT but would never have expected the automatic transmission to hold up to that much power. I can believe it on the v8 models but those are technically a different transmission

So what would be the new 0-60 be?
Fastest client recorded 0-60 is 3.7sec 0-60 in a RIPP V6 Challenger on a slick. Most clients are 3.9-4.6 depending on traction and gear set up.
Why is the wheel horsepower higher in the Challenger than the Grand Cherokee When they have the same motor?
Less parastic loss overall. From what we've seen the challenger is more rear wheel biased as well.
Also gearing has a factor wheel size and weight and drive terrain rotating weight a lot of differences even with the same motor for putting power down
So the engine is that Pentastar V6 huh? I’ve seen engine guys take them apart and they aren’t the most reliable even in stock NA form. How stressed are the internals? I say doubling the horsepower and torque definitely decreased the engine life. I’d be curious to see one make some passes on the 1/4 mile track 😊
We test our kits on stock internals. We make sure that our kits are reliable and don't harm the internals. This is one of the company cars. This is their daily. Most of those kits, including this one, have gone for the full NA engine life.
