  • Join us for Linzi's Practical Ship Tour aboard P&O Iona, where we take a look at some parts of the ship that don't always get as much love or maybe not talked about at all. Linzi will take you on a tour of spots from the Launderette to the Bars, and from Restaurants to Whirlpools, sharing her top tips.

Thanks for all the tips guys. I just wanted to add my own.
To speed up drying times in a dryer I do the following: Once your clothes have finished in the washing machine run a "spin and rinse" cycle. This shouldn't take more than 10 minutes roughly. Your clothes will come out dryer and then when you put the clothes in the tumble dryer add a dry towel from the pool area that again helps the clothes dry quicker. You can also use dryer balls too but I find a dry towel is sufficient for agitating the clothes and drying them quicker.

🥰 Thank you for the tips. I have to wonder if the person designing this vessel ever even thought of toilets and change rooms until after it was all drawn onto proper drafting paper... and then someone said "where's the toilets?" and that designer said "whoops"... and quickly pencilled in a couple where there was a bit of extra space. If there was no extra space, it was "they can just use these over here" not even considering what that might fully mean. They just seemed so inconsistent and all over the place.

I disagree with the queuing, deck 7 next to Brodies was always a good entrance with plenty of available seats. Another I would add is make sure you get a drink before departure. A lovely ship but Food was poor (except for keel and cow but no children menus)barely warm ,most of the crew were inexperienced ,on deck 4 it was really noisy banging outside near the lifeboats, rustling noise through deck heads hardly slept . Customer service queue was to big to join. Poor I T booking main dining for evening meals was impossible as it was always fully booked. Stupid people smoking in non smoking areas, and throwing butt ends on the deck and not a member of the crew said a thing. And disembarking was horrendous clueless crew and clueless staff in warehouse. I have now canceled the cruise I had booked for Iona .Big ships are a nightmare. Not at all happy with P&O who I have contacted.

      Oh no 🙁
It is always such a shame when a cruise doesn't work out for any reason. Even more when there are lots of reasons. It's an easy excuse to say it's a new ship and new crew, and whilst there's some validity in it, it doesn't make your hard earned cruise and something you've been looking forward to any less disappointing.
Fingers crossed your next cruise helps puts this one to a distant memory soon.
