On Sunday Princess, as far as I know, you cannot book the Santuary on ship, you must have book the Santuary for the cruise, which include Premier package. It is not lite the other ship.

What time of year were you there? I’m going in Mid April to the British Isles. Would it be worth it then?

Great review! Was delighted to see the pub get good air time (it's one of my favourite Cunard dining options), but was so disappointed to hear your feedback - sorry that didn't go to plan for you!

We were on board for Christmas after a few years break from cruising. It was nothing like before. Standards have slipped immensely. Poor quality food and badly cooked in buffet. The burger in the Golden Lion was the worse we have ever had ! Really disappointed as we know how it can be.

I was sad to have missed the warm canapes...none served in the bars on QM2 too, last summer. We did pre-order canapes (cold ones) for our cabin when we embarked, along with the welcome package as we were Britannia Balcony. I can see from people's photos that the Princess Grill's included welcome has been cut back since 2019.

The two of you are a joy to watch. Nothing over the top, but being cheeky and proper. Thank you for sharing your joy of travel journeys with the world. And, never stop using the word moist!

We were on that cruise and the lido grill was open …we enjoyed a fine burger 🍔 and all the trimmings that go with it …love your work by the way ..👍👍

We were on that same cruise and it was our first ever cruise. Agree about the food, generally good but not always ‘something to write home about’. We thought the breakfast buffet was much better than that served in the Britannia restaurant which was luke warm. We enquired on board about nibbles and was told they don’t have any, this after we viewing one of your YT videos before we got on board, so we were a little disappointed. The one thing we discovered on our last night when one of us was hankering for chips was the room service burger. Wow what a feast, if we ever go on a Cunard cruise again we’ll be having this every night, to soak up the G&Ts.

Britannia Club is open for lunch on port days.

We went on Queen Victoria just after you. It was our first Cunard cruise. We got a great deal so went Queen's Grill. The food was generally amazing. Crepes suzette a highlight. Chocolate chip cookie a lowlight. Amazing choice. The whole Cunard experience was wonderful and we would do it again.

You do not indicate the type of cruises you were on at any time during your video. I'm pretty sure that if you were spending a lot of days at sea (repositioning cruise) you would probably drink more... Interesting comparison, however with more cruise details it would have been much more revealing. Thank you for taking the time to upload.

Omg was looking into the drinks packages and I was thinking $110 for the whole cruise, not per day!! 😆😅😞 Probably should've known lol did seem unbelievably cheap but not as unbelievable as $110 per day! Would end up costing more than the cruise itself a lot of the time. Good value if you have the 15 drinks a day every day so I guess on really short trips it could be worth.

It is very tarted up, but I can't say I like it much as it is now. I haven't ever stayed there, but years ago I did wander in once, and had afternoon tea in the lounge to right of the entrance foyer. It was fabulous in a really olde worlde way. There were deep Chesterfield style buttoned sofas and armchairs and coffee tables with all the broadsheet newspapers. An elderly waiter in a white jacket came and took my order. He was also the barman behind an elegant bar. It had that London Club feel to it. It was a truly memorable afternoon. This looks awful. Just another bog standard hotel in 2024.

Thanks for doing this video! We are highly considering the Sun Princess for a Eastern Mediterranean vacation in about a year. Everything looks amazing! I had a few questions about the informal dining options (and any advice you may offer). So you said that there was Shawarma on the Lido Deck, but there is also a Mediterranean counter in The Eatery. Is there Shawarma (or Gyros) there as well? Is there pizza available with just the standard cruise fare or are you required to upgrade to access pizza? As first time cruisers to the Mediterranean, I imagine we will be exhausted coming back from port visits or may not make it back for our dining time. Do I understand that the walk-in dining is part of Soleil/Eclipse restaurant? If it is formal night do they enforce on that deck/portion of the restaurant? I don't know if we are going to have the energy to get gussied up lol. Will the Eatery be an option if we dont participate in a formal night? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks for any assistance you can provide!

Oooh! I am on Celebrity Edge in 36 days time….. the eating places even have the same names and descriptions seem very similar. Watching this has got me super excited about the food, thank you both very much .

We were on QM2 14/12 to 21/12 and was very Christmassy, mulled wine and Christmas biscuit handed to us as we came out of security, little Christmas tree in each room. A Christmas decoration on each cabin door. Christmas cocktail menu in the Golden lion, chart room and Queens room. No mince pie though! Also mid week a massive gingerbread house display appeared and a few classes for decorating gingerbread houses.
