    My wife and I were on this cruise with you, sadly didn’t get the chance to say hello! But we love the channel!
    We’ve just come off a 10 dayer on P&O Ventura…. Wow, what a difference. The food on P&O was shockingly poor in comparison, it was our first (and last) on P&O. Royal, MSC, Princess, NCL & Disney all far better with Virgin the king of all food!

    • @SuiteNatured
      @SuiteNatured  2 месяца назад +1

      Oh no, what a shame we didn't get chance to meet you both Ian. Hopefully we will see you on another Virgin cruise in the future and we can get some cocktails together then :)
      It is always a bit of a shock to the system going from Virgin onto other cruise lines, both in the terms of the inclusive food and the overall vibe. It's not to say we don't have a great time on other cruise lines, just very different. We wish they could all offer the same level of food as Virgin.

    Happy memories of our Virgin Comedy festival cruise, great food, varied entertainment - we really enjoyed the comedy & ship band ‘White Rooms’ - we would definitely try again, however the same comedy cruise next year is double the price!

    well just 240 days until our Resilient lady cruise. Love these reviews. I am still a little scared, but not of the bars and the food. The bars I am sure I will love. Same with the food. Its some of the other bits that concern me a little. I wont be wearing pyjamas around the pool for example. 2 reasons. I ts not my thing .2. i dont own any.
    I suspect I need to increase the bar tab we have in place. 11 night cruise - so far $900. Its not enough is it?

    • @SuiteNatured
      @SuiteNatured  3 месяца назад

      We both had to buy PJ's for Virgin for the same reason 😂 you'll love it we are sure, and Scarlet Night is awesome for people watching, even if you don't want to get as full on as others, and theres some brilliant entertainment around the ship all the time. The music (bands & singers) onboard doesn't get nearly enough coverage for how good it is.
      We are looking at a $1500 bar tab for our 16 night Panama on Virgin if that gives you an idea? You can't go as heavy on a longer cruise, you would be even more broken than we were.

    • @jabbathehut656
      @jabbathehut656 3 месяца назад

      @@SuiteNatured great stuff. Just rechecked the bar tab we have already bought and its actually 1
      $1050. Might get another $300 dollars on it.
      After watching numerous videos of yours, $1500 seems light for 16 nights for you two beer monsters. Its only around $47 dollars per night each. You will be parched.
      Definitely swerving the pyjama party. Thats absolutely not my thing. I know this without ever attending one.
      Singers and shows are not my thing either, unless its a band or singer playing their own stuff. Then I am interested.
      Wife likes West end nonsense. This means I can have an hours shut eye. Whilst she sings along to bits of Le miserables or something.
      yes. I am a miserable sod.

      We've been on the ships 6 times and we never do the pajama night. We don't even fully participate in Scarlet Night, so don't let these sorts of small things worry you. Bar menus are all online, so look at the prices of the drinks you like, figure out how many you think you'll drink per day, and there, you have your suggested Bar Tab.

    We were on ARVIA last week and it was a brief 80 minutes from getting out the car at Ocean Terminal to getting on board. We even arrived at our published boarding time. Ridiculous.

    • @SuiteNatured
      @SuiteNatured  3 месяца назад +1

      Yeah that is not great at all Steven. We got the issues and delays during the pandemic but that is well behind, and delayed embarkations seem to be coming more common for some cruise lines at the moment, although we are not sure why.
      With our Virgin one, they were over 8 hours late getting in. it was the first of their short season in Portsmouth, and the team down at the Portsmouth terminal were just not prepared or briefed properly.

    Sorry, I am still one of those that says, "I don't think Virgin is for me." I have a friend who enjoys the line, but she loves the casino and drinking. I don't drink or gamble. The snippets of shows I have seen always look a little raunchy, and the room decor reminds me of gym class dressing rooms. So I am glad you enjoy it--that's great. But I still don't think it is for me. 😊 (There is a cruise line out there for everyone. )

    • @SuiteNatured
      @SuiteNatured  3 месяца назад +2

      You are absolutely right, there is a cruise line out there for everyone, and Virgin is probably a more divisive one than others (although Cunard seems to do this too to a degree due to the perceived formality). We've yet to meet anyone whose been on Virgin who didn't love it but we know plenty of people who know in advance it is just not for them.

    I really like you two so I watch all your videos, but honestly can’t find any reason I would even consider a Virgin cruise. The rooms look completely awful, bathrooms really tiny. Virtually no storage in the cabin. I would never wear that wrist band all the time. Entertainment is a total non starter for me and lack of a drinks package is annoying. But still enjoy the video knowing you had a good time.

      Which are your cruise lines of choice Lori?

      Viking is our favorite ocean cruise line, followed by Oceania and Celebrity in the Retreat on Edge class ships.

      If you have a look at our ship tour for Resilient Lady Scott, you will see she really isn't cramped. She's not going to be everyones taste, but no more cramped than other ships of that size. We did have a lot of fun, but suffered for it afterwards😂

    Thumbs down for the “Our worst ever” clickbait thumbnail headline.

    • @SuiteNatured
      @SuiteNatured  3 месяца назад +1

      We absolutely do not try and "click bait" anyone Mark. If you look through all our Thumbnails, we've never done it.
      Obviously the purpose of a thumbnail is to intrigue someone in order for them to consider viewing it, and that is what we try and do, but they are based on fact, unlike click bait ones. We know there is a LOT of this online in general. We want our Thumbnails to stand out in feeds, and be intriguing but they will always be based on what we talk about in the video.
      The title of the video is "Resilient Lady Full Cruise Review 2024 | The Best & Worst Experiences. In the very first chapter, just 57 seconds into the video we say the embarkation was " Our Worst Ever", and that is where this wording comes from on the Thumbnail.
      We also say in the second paragraph of the description of the video "It's no secret that we love cruising with Virgin Voyages, but one aspect of this cruise was the worst experience we had ever had on a cruise, did it ruin the whole cruise though (of course not), but it is something Virgin really need to get sorted for future cruises."
      For us, click bait is where you are baiting and switching, you say something (in print, on a thumbnail, email, wherever) to get someone to click on that, but then the content is nothing to do with what the message said.
      Hope you understand where we came from, and that you enjoyed the rest of the video.
      Linzi & Mark

    1 is food, 2 is drinks-everything is comes after. I thibnk I would hate Costa as there are 18 places to smoke-nothing pisses me off more and klills my appetite! Smoking should be on the ass ened of the ship.

    • @SuiteNatured
      @SuiteNatured  3 месяца назад +1

      We are not whispering JMW, we are just not shouting. The balance levels that we check before putting any content on RUclips run at a fairly consistent -12dB. There are however plenty of shouty videos out there that might suit you better we guess? That's the joy of RUclips there is a creator and video for everyone, but not every creator or video is for everyone.

      Not sure I’d consider this to be “whispering”. But she’s from the U.K. and they tend to be more soft spoken than Americans (if that’s what you’re comparing her to). For what it’s worth, I work in corporate America and have actually met quite a few Americans that tend to speak in very quiet “corporate speak”. But U.S. influencers tend to be very loud and obnoxious and in your face, which I don’t love.
