    This was an informative and entertaining video! I appreciate it very much. So much so that I’m likely to book a cruise on Virgin. I’ve been taking cruises on Holland America since 2006 and I think it’s time for a change!

      You will love Virgin we are sure, Music, like Holland America is a big part of the ship, but you will have so much fun.

    Brilliant review. As regular celebrity cruisers, me and the wife have just taken a leap of faith and booked our first Virgin cruise on this ship for 2025. 11 Nights Greece and Turkey.
    I have already bought 3 no. 300 dollar bar tabs with an extra 150 dollars supplied by Virgin on top. Not sure that will be enough as we too love our cocktails, and have just left Celebrity constellation where I reckon our bar tab came to 1800 dollars - premium drinks package.
    Was a little apprehensive about booking this but thsi video has settled any nerves.
    cheers
    Darren

      Thanks Darren, you have nothing to worry about with Virgin, you are going to have an absolutely brilliant time. We've yet to speak to anyone who has been on and hasn't loved it.
      Love the commitment to the bar tab. We have a $1000 for our upcoming 4 nighter to Amsterdam in August, let's see how long it lasts. When we did Apex last November (16 nights) we had the package, and thank goodness we did. if memory recalls, had we paid for everything it was nearly $4000!!!!!!

      @@SuiteNatured Thanks appreciate it. I totalled up that we spent 2500 dollars on Celebrity Beyond last year, so the premium drinks package was a godsend.
      I think I may put another 300 dollar bar tab on before we arrive onboard.
      That would give 1400 dollars, for cocktails.
      700 dollars each. Oh dear, even that might not be enough.

    You two are such lovely people! I really loved your honest review, it was entertaining to watch and hear your commentary at the same time. Thank you so much! I've subscribed, BTW. My wife and I are booked on the Resilient Lady for next January and your review is so helpful. We're looking forward to our first time being Virgin sailors. 😁

      You are going to love Resilient Lady and the whole Virgin Voyages experience we are sure. We've yet to meet or speak to anyone personally who didn't.
      If you are on Facebook you'd be welcome to join our community group page and there are lots of Virgin Voyages sailors on there who can answer any questions you might have. Plus it's a lovely group unlike some on FB.

    Thankyou for your input. My 1st time seeing your channel. I sail on Celebrity once a year for a family reunion and love it. I care for my 90 year old mom 4 days a week so she pays my fair. I would LOVE to try Virgin but as I am disabled and can't work as an RN anymore I don't think I could make it financially. It was wonderful seeing it through your eyes.

      Thank you Liz, that is very kind of you, and we are so pleased you enjoyed looking at Virgin Voyages through our eyes. It is worth you keeping an eye on Virgin, as with the offers they have on they often work out much cheaper than Celebrity. We are on Celebrity Apex at the start of November, so looking forward to trying them out again as it has been a few years since our last Celebrity cruise, and it is our first on Edge class.
      Hope we see you on more of our videos, or live streams in the future Liz.

    I've got a pretty big one booked for February, then need to cool my heels a bit on cruising for awhile. The very next one I book though is going to be Virgin. I am so ready to try something new! I love that they are aiming to shake things up, and that they are far more "all inclusive" than the other lines, especially lately. Thank you very much for the vid!

      As you will have gathered, we absolutely love Virgin Voyages, for the inclusivity and encouragement for guests and crew to be their best selves. Everything about the line, from the fantastic crew and cast to the amazing food stands head and shoulders above virtually every cruise line. As we type this message we are on our last day on Cunard's QM2 and the food and service is a long way behind Virgin.

    We have our first Virgin cruise booked on the Resilient Lady in March 2024. We are foodies and are very much looking forward to checking it out. Side note-we are also in our 50's and have sailed Celebrity many times. I can't wait to see your Celebrity vlogs and see what you think. We absolutely love the Edge class ships! Thank you for your video's.

      Thank you so much Tami, we are so happy you are enjoying them. As a fellow Foodie, you are going to LOVE Virgin Voyages, the food is amazing, even more so that it is all included. We can't wait for our Apex cruise too, we've had three previous attempts to get on an edge class cancelled, so forth time lucky, and it's a longer transatlantic cruise so we should get chance to try all the eateries.
      Have a lovely day Tami,

    Hi, I have just watched your review on Resilient Lady. During your review, you mentioned sailing from Portsmouth on a previous cruise. Can you tell me who you booked your port parking with, please? I can only find CPS, and they are quite expensive. At Southampton, there is a great selection, but it doesn't seem to be the same in Portsmouth. Many thanks. Debbie

    Hi enjoyed this video a lot thank you. We have booked our first ever cruise and its on the Virgin Resilient lady . Since booking however I have read lots about the cruise and now a little concerned so wondered if you could answer a couple of questions please . Firstly I am 62 and my husband is 75 are we going to be in the minority? Although we are quite active lol.
    Also I hate having noise at night when in bed. We will like the shows and like a fun time but not late party animals so is it worth trying to make sure we get a quiet room away from late party noise . We are complete novices so any advice would be so gratefully received : )

    • @SuiteNatured
      @SuiteNatured  Месяц назад +1

      Hi Patricia, thank you so much.
      Let us put you mind at rest, you are not going to be in the minority. Virgin said recently that their average age on VV was now 55! And from our experience, there are a lot of cruisers on there much older than that, all having the best time. On one of our cruises (it came out in the Misbehave show) was over 90. So you are both youngsters.
      Virgin is a ship that you can have as late a (party type) night as you want, or a totally chilled relaxing one, with a great meal, entertainment and good music, without ever seeing the parties; okay, Scarlet Night is hard to avoid, but you should try to avoid it anyway.
      From our experience we've not heard any noise in the rooms and we have been right at the front, back and midships. If you want to be as safe as you can be from noise, get one a little away from the lifts, and midship, about deck 8 or 9. But honestly we wouldn't worry about it at all.
      Have an amazing time, and let us know how you get on.

    These vlogs are making me really want to try Virgin now. Did you spend any time in Athens before/after the cruise? We’re looking at one for next year and wondering whether it’s worth staying a bit longer.

    • @SuiteNatured
      @SuiteNatured  Год назад +2

      Hi Mat, thank you, and you really should give them a go, we don't know anyone personally, who did and regretted it.
      We did have a stay before on for three nights in Athens, and it is definitely worth doing that, we really enjoyed it. Glad we did it first, rather than after the cruise, as it can be hard work touring a big city like Athens, so definitely easier before hand for us.

    I am sorry you chose the wrong cabin but did you know if you are not happy because of that, you can go to the service desk and ask to be assigned to another room upon your request? (subject to availability of course). I did a lot of research to avoid that metal bar and also getting the hammock instead of the egg chair. We are positioned in the front deck 14 JUST one cabin before the obstruction of the metal bar! *PHEW*! May I also ask if the front position is bumpy and good view? We never sailed the front before as we are just after the views and in fact, the more bumpy, the better for us as we love these rides!

      Hi,
      We did speak to the team onboard who were very apologetic (who came to see us after the onboard questionnaire on the second morning), we really didn't moan at all on the comment just that we wished we had known in advance, but all the other XL cabins were taken or they would have moved us.
      View wise no issues at all really.
      From a bumpy point of view we didn't feel anything but the seas were very calm throughout and never more than a few metre swell.
      We've cruised on other ships right at the front and again not really had any issues even in bad weather. The only exception being a transatlantic to Boston and New York in November and we definitely felt the bumps then 😂

    the white cocktail with the pineapple slice on it linzi, what what that please? it looked like a pina colada and theyre my favorite :) what bar did you get this from please? it looks like that youmight be on the pool deck :)

    • @SuiteNatured
      @SuiteNatured  Год назад +1

      It is a Pina Colada, obligatory on any cruise 😂 and we got that from the Aquatic Club Bar on the pool deck, but you can get them in a few other places too. But you cannot beat a Pina Colada at the side of a pool .

    hmmm watching this im a bit worried now about our onboard spending. i dont have almost $2000 aud to spend. i wont even have $1000. and we spend up big in the cruiseline shop, and my fiance will spend a fair bit at the casino. we dont have any OBC included in our cruise , we did get a 300 bar tab included though...... think i am going to have to save heavier than i thought

    • @SuiteNatured
      @SuiteNatured  Год назад +1

      To be honest, it could easily have been far less than that, we simply had the credit so spent it. On the last few days we had over $100 in shopping, which we wouldn't have done otherwise, and some of the bigger cocktails too. We also wish we hadn't done the excursion, so the total could have easily been around $750-$800, and that was us drinking a decent amount, and getting the huge seafood tower too.
      You can easily go on there, with the bar tab, and bonus, and have ample for that. It's also worth keeping an eye out, up to making the final payment if they have any better offers on, and ringing Virgin's Sailor Services up to see if they can help, or match the new offers.

    im a bit dissapointed to see the dress style of people in the restaurants, they are dressed in clothes that i would wear lounging around the house, (not talking about you guys, im talking about the other people in your videos), going to a nice fancy restaurant id really hope to see people dressed up

    • @SuiteNatured
      @SuiteNatured  Год назад +1

      It does change throughout the evening we found. If it was earlier on that people were dining, they tending to be more casual, as would then go get changed to be fancier, or dressed appropriately for the parties. We did that on 80's night.
      It's not a Cunard type for dinner, but then again, no other cruise ship really is these days, but it is probably fancier than our videos make out, just a bit later on. If you look at people for the parties, especially Scarlet Night & We Fancy, people get very dressed up
