There have been, and are now, so many great comedians that I truly enjoy. But if I were on a deserted Island and could only listen to recodings of one comedian, it would be Bill.
Great video. One of Bald Billy's most iconic moments was his rant in Philly. The crowd was out of control and booing every comedian off of the stage. Bill walked up and gave them 10 minutes, never backing down.
I think he’s mastered the art of telling edgy and topical jokes while not ACTUALLY being rude/offensive. It makes him likable. One of the things I respect most about his craft
Oh, he's deliberately offensive alright, heheh! 💪😎✌️ But because he argues his point brilliantly, and often shows that he *IS* just demonstrating the two-faced situations of society, it's difficult for a bunch of nobodies or worthless whiners to try taking a poke at the G.O.A.T. 🔥
When i discovered Bill Burr..not literally. I found myself in someone else even though geographically and culturally we're miles apart. He verbalises what i think and feel in his unique way. Absolutely love the guy and have cried laughing at his way of seeing my world 😂😂😂
I like to call Burrs comedy style "raise and release" the tension. He just finds those hotbutton issues, forms a sonewhat unexpected nuanced take and delivers that as joke. Its beautiful to watch when every thing lands. True master of the art of stand up.
I’ve been watching bill burr clips since 2015. This is a really well made tribute. I wish you had a clip from his interview with Jim Jeffries on CC, that interview is legendary 😂
He recognizes the absurdities of everyday life most of us never consider. The things that each of us finds familiar and commonplace can be a source of great comedy.
@needfoolthings Real comedy doesn't take itself seriously enough to consider itself an art form. What strikes us funny are the things we all relate to, familiarity, and commonly shared experience. The greats like Carlin or Norm McDonald knew that awkward moments made for great comedy. Burr understands that as well.
For me it's Burr, Katt Williams and Dave Chappelle in no particular order. This is not just my CURRENT top 3, but ALL TIME top 3 with a nod to Eddie Murphy, George Carlin and Patrice O'Neale. Yes, I saw Richard Pryor in his prime and he makes my top 10. This is my list.

I was that kid that would do something that got me in trouble but I just admitted it 😂. The look on the teachers faces when they were expecting me to lie 😂😂
After Carlin it's Bill and to some extent Jon. Obviously none can be a GOAT like Carlin. This is the best we can get. And there will be another like him... hopefully.
Never mentioned his time on Chappell show early 2000’s which helped his acting and from what I recall he was also a writer on the show. One of my favorite skits was the Samual Jackson beer commercials with BB as an actor
@@treemanv2616 "Burrs popularity exploded after what has become known as the Philadelphia incident, where he mercilessly berated an audience and the city for their disorderly and rude behavior." Yeah you're right. That would totally get flagged.
Bill Burr certainly has developed a very impressive and unique fast thinking and response skills of reverse logic playing the devil's advocate using the individuals own opinion of themselves to tear them down and humble them accurately. Jim Rodgers
Im going at this ignorant of your take of the subject. The title alone is the debate. Heres where i agree . Bill has a delivery unique to the point of copying. Maybe I missed it but I didn't hear any mention of his O & A appearances. It's hard to say whether or not there would have been comedy Central appearances but for sure it would have been much later in his career if not for O & A.
Started following Bill Burr in 2003 when he was on Chappelle Show. I thought he was hilarious! So I've been a fan for 20 years plus. He's one of my favorite comedians
Genius. Was insulting those who refused the vaccine under covid. Now that was a good moment to shut up. Missed it. Will never reach again the place he once had in my heart.
@@Jnoooooo Do you have any scientific background yourself or is your opinion just based on your own faith in "scientific consensus"? In any case I suggest you take a look at excess death rates under covid, as compared to the average for the previous 10 years. Then do the same with excess mortality rates under the covid vaccination program. And remember that noone is as blind as he who does not want to see.
Is Bill Burr the greatest of all time? Well when you got names like Carlin, Pryor and Chappelle you are in some rare air... but he belongs in that group, Bill earned his spot by being true to himself no matter what, and being funny as fuck
Where does Bill Burr rank in your Goat comedian list?
Top 5
imho, the best living and top 3 all time.
For lifetime achievement I would rate Bill very funny.
He's become more or less average since he married Yoko
#1

Been a fan of this guy for 15 years. Ever since ‘One Night Stand’.
However, the Philly rant made him a national legend.

Dave Chappelle and him are the true comedians of our time. Love them both and will always stand by them!!!!!!!
We have a video on Dave Chappelle and another one coming out tonight if you haven't seen it
Love BB. Brutally honest in his humbleness. He's not afraid to be vulnerable and I admire that.
Bill is the GOAT... . EVERY ONE of his specials... great..no good.. always GREAT.
Been a fan since comedy central, seen him on tour twice. He’s earned his place with the GOATS easily.
Definitely one of the greatest. Love his dark humor and his anger and. I can relate 👍
When i discovered Bill Burr..not literally. I found myself in someone else even though geographically and culturally we're miles apart. He verbalises what i think and feel in his unique way. Absolutely love the guy and have cried laughing at his way of seeing my world 😂😂😂
When he speaks of Patrice O'Neal you know he loved the guy.
"I still have arguments with him" WOW!
Bill will always be my spirit animal, and the funniest man alive. He's walked me off the edge more than once.
Definitely a Legend.
Agreed 🤝
There’s about 2 million Bill Burrs in Massachusetts. They just do their comedy at a construction site 😂😂😂😂😂
Exactly.
no doubt about it.🤣🤣😂
100 percent. Grew up and everyone was a Bill Burr
Growing up in Boston, insulting friends, their ethnic group, their sex, and their mother is a sign of affection. Also big on sarcasm.
As an Irish Australian, I think this would be the state for me if I ever moved to USA.

Bill Burr is my current favorite, and it's not really close. HOWEVER; Richard Pryor is the GOAT. . .and it isn't really close.
Bill Burr is a communist !!! We don’t want anymore of him✊🏿
George Carlin?
no, that would be Carlin, but Bill Burr is hot on his tail.
His bit about men watching football and when he decribes why men and womens salaries are different are the best.
Tuna casserole 😂😂😂
He recognizes the absurdities of everyday life most of us never consider. The things that each of us finds familiar and commonplace can be a source of great comedy.
That is the blandest description of what standup comedy actually is at its core. StandUp as an art form.
Bill Burr doesn't deserve this.
@needfoolthings Real comedy doesn't take itself seriously enough to consider itself an art form. What strikes us funny are the things we all relate to, familiarity, and commonly shared experience.
