      Great spot! I have written the wrong equation. I do a lot of copy and paste when I make the animation and have forgotten to edit this text. The first equation should read x + 2y = 6 🤦‍♂️

      @@1stClassMathslike in an exam if you’re asked to find the answer for the simultaneous equation on the graph but the graph isn’t linear

      If it has anything squared or x and y multiplied together it is not linear.
      Linear will always be ax + by = c style (or any rearrangement of that)

    what happens when you have 2 different values for x, like is it possible or if you get them then you have done it wrong

      In many of these questions there are 2 solutions for x. This is completely fine.

      Students watching this video ought to be able to factorise really. I will make a factorising video but that is more like a grade 6 skill than grade 8/9. Sorry :(
