@@TheGCSEMathsTutor hi there sir could you be kind enough to do an AQA Past paper walkthrough please insead of an Edexcel past paper walkthrough as i have seen on your channel you have been prominently doing that exam board but i know you are aware you have AQA students who watch your videos to so it would be a nice video if you do to proceed with the suggestion otherwise your content is very good and soon to 100k subscribers sir ;)
this was really helpful! the SSS and DSA part made it a breeze to remember and really cleared up my confusion :D thank youuuuuuuuuu
So glad the method works for you!! 😁👏🏼👏🏼
You are my favorite youtube maths teacher.
So glad to hear that! Thank you 😁🙏🏼
I've spent months trying to understand these and now i finally do!
Amazing news! I’m so glad to hear the channel has helped 😁🙏🏼
to remember the signs, you could do "STOP", so "SaMe, take away" and "opposite, plus"
“Same, Take away and Opposite, Plus”??? I like it!! 😁🙏🏼
Ahem
Same
Yeah
He said it
@@jeetskeet8162 OH LMAO sorry its been a whole year and i just noticed the typo omg
I had absolutely no idea how to do this in my school but your method has made it so much easier and now I absolutely fully understand how to do it all so thank you for that.
sir man how do i thank you one day out from paper 2 and i barely knew simultaneous equations until i watched your video. Absolutely class keep it up
Amazing news!!! So glad to hear it’s been helpful! Have you checked out the practice paper I posted yesterday too? 😁🙏🏼

thank you so much! always struggled with maths but u make my life so easy, a lifesaver!
I never understood sequences and my maths teacher always seemed to make it complicated I have a huge assessment coming up and your other sequence videos helped so much if i get a passing score thank you
I dont know y im only seeing yr channel now. IT IS A BLESSING IN DISGUISE♥️
How tf do you not have 500k + subscribers the video quality is really good
Thank you so much for the kind words 😁🙏🏼
Moving from foundation to higher LAST MINUTE so I have a shot at the grade I need for college. You're gonna be my saviour, comrade.
exact same for me
Cette vidéo m’a permis de comprendre comment résoudre des équations complexes grâce à un tas de choses!!!
Congratulations on getting 23k subscribers. Great job and work.
Thank you for helping me I had a big maths test coming up and i feel confident now.
Ur the GOAT!

The GCSE Maths Tutor yeah it stands for ‘Greatest of all time’
Your explanations are very clear and understandable
Thanks 😊
TaZeReSS _SKRT Great to hear!! Thanks for the feedback! I’m on a mission to get 100 videos live and ready for the new year so it’s awesome to hear they are helping already! 🤞🏼
I love this channel so much it helped me improve so much in maths thank you so much and also I liked and subscribed!
omg omg thank u so much, I never understood this in class and was always confused but u made it so clear and simple. I cannot thank u enough man, keep up the good work!!!
This video made me be able to understand how to solve complex equations thanks a bunch!!!
thnxs i understand it way better than i did before i appreciate the help u provide for everyone thank youuuuuu.
im still learning but this is the best maths teacher no doubts, thank you so much man!!!!
Thank you so much. It’s the negative numbers that get me every time. You explain well and I smile when I get a question right. 😬
No problem at all! It’s always the negative numbers that get people 😭 I’m so glad you like the explanations, it’s always very satisfying to get the questions correct, definitely the best part about maths.. that “eureka” moment 👏🏼👏🏼
Sir would you ever be forced to do the elimination method in an exam ? because i prefer to use the substitution method
I can’t believe I can solve simultaneous equation it has been my problem since I was young thank you so much
How do I know when to times it by something rather than adding or subtracting?
Thank you SO much! This was so clear and well-explained ☺
I had troubles learning simultaneous Equation but after watching you video i understand a lot
Hey, I've got a question, what if you sub your answer to the number 2 equation. Is that alright too? Will you get the same answer as subbing it into the first one too?
thanks bro really helped me, have a nice rest of your day Sir
Very useful video thank you very much - I was very confused but now I am very confident with these
nice to knowwwwwwwwwwww
So clear and helpful, thank you so much.
No problem at all! So glad to hear it 😁🙏🏼
Thanks bestie❤ ur the best teacher
I literally have a test today and this has saved me thank you.
pls reply!! at 19:00 why couldn’t u just cancel out the 3x (since they’re both the same amount) to get 0 without timsing the top by 4?
you can, he just did what he was comfortable with i guess
@@chroyoku ohh ok
hello sir when I substituted the x values first question i got something different i would appreciate it if u did video substituting x values.
Congratulations on 178k subscribers! 178000 subscribers omg!!
Few hours before my gcse qnd uve taught me something my maths teacher couldn't for a year
Can these have multiple solutions?
best teacher ever
thank you so much , your saving me from failing literally any maths based exam
most helpful channel thank you so much
Ok finally thanks so much this was so hard for me but this cleared it up
hi for 10:28 i did -62-(-90) which =28 and did 6-20 = -14 so i got x=2 and for y i got -5. Is this correct?
When checking the values do you use the original equation
Yea
this was really helpful thanks, will these questions on the aqa gcse paper be the simple ones or difficult with decimals?
They could be either! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
U much more better than my teacher
tysm for this video, in all honesty maths is my weakest point so im hoping i can pass because my exams are soon i will be using your videos! :D
did you get a 7/8/9? :)
Hey sir, do you know what will happen to the current YR10 for their gcse also great video
Ibrahim_U2040 As it stands the plans haven’t been thought that far ahead. As soon as I know anything I will post a channel update 😁🙏🏼
@@TheGCSEMathsTutor Thank you very much also do you have any tips on revision and how to improve someones grades. If possible can you make a video. Thanks.
Really helped me to learn it thanks a lot
thank you so much! these videos are always so helpful and easy to understand
would the ones with negative numbers most likely come up on higher paper?
Not necessarily! More likely to appear - yes! But these can appear on both tiers 😁🙏🏼
He deserves way more subs
Seriously!!! its not that complicated... been beating myself up over these, thanks for making it understandable
this video really helped me, thanku sir
lily writes Great to hear 😁🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Were the starting two questions elimination or substitution?
I got 60/80 in an higher exam because of your amazing teaching
i got 2/45 on my first test this year i have another one next month lets see if i get any improvement from him

@15:31 how did you get positive 13 when +15-+28 should = -13? and same with +90-+77 should this not be +13 not -13?
Pov your gsce exam is tmr
Bro did simultaneous eq for paper 1?
Yep 👍
Yes
Thank you sm, thus was really helpful🥺💖
No problem at all 😁🙏🏼
this guy is incredible
honestly please get into teaching, so many people are out there suffering with terrible teachers. Cleared up algebra for me. Thanks
I am actually already a full time lead teacher of maths! I just like to produce my lessons on RUclips in the few spare moments of free time I have so that I can reach out to more than just the students in my own classroom! 🙏🏼 I’m so happy the channel has worked for you, do you have another topic in mind to work on next?
@@TheGCSEMathsTutor I don't know what topic is next for me in maths, but I know your probably going to help me out with it. And thank god that you're a teacher, your class don't know how lucky they are!
@@jacoblewis553 Well do let me know! Hopefully I’ll have made it and if not I’ll add it onto my list! Aaah thank you so much for the kind words 😁🙏🏼🙏🏼
Amazing teaching! Just wondering, because I think toy have made a mistake, but I'm not sure. When it says the question '3x - 5y = -31 and 4x - 2y = -18, you said that 6x - 20x = 14 but it's actually -14. Thne you made the answer as -2. I think the answer is actually 2 because -14 ÷ 14 is -x and -28 ÷ -14 = -2 (showing -x = -2) which would equal to x = 2 instead.
Saved my gcses thank you
My questions is when I do simultaneous equation how do I know which is minus which. For example in the first question her if you had times then by 4 and 3. It would be 8y-15 y and 12 x-12x
So would I flip it for 15 -8 both y. Or just leave it how it is. This is where I fall short
do u have to do small take away big for example around 10:37 answer i got x=2 whilst u got x=-2 does it matter?
hi GOAT, is it true you only need 14 marks out of 80 to get a 4 in gcse maths???
tysm
20:27 wouldnt it be x=-1.5 y=0.5 if you sub it in 3x-1.5=-4.5 +0.5(y)=-4?
Does simultaneous equations come on AQA papers
Naima Jahlan Absolutely!! All of the videos I post do 😁🙏🏼
Is this elimination or substitution method ?
Elimination method!
Man this will really help in school thanks u legend🔥🙌🏾
At 19:00 why couldnt you just cancel both the 3x's, because I done it and it gave me another answer
same!!
really helpful thank you !!!!!
So glad to hear it helped! 😁🙏🏼
Thank you so much for this incredible video♥️
Thank you so much for this
I couldn’t solve the question 2x + 3y = 14
x + 3y = 10
Since it doesn’t get rid of x or y making it difficult to find the value of either is there any help on this?
If you multiply the second equation by 2 you get 2x+6y=20 and then you would subtract 2x+3y=14 so you would get 3y=6 therefore y=2. sub in y=2 to work out value of x. x is 4 x=4 hope it made sense sorry for the late response.
😂😂
3months later
This was brilliant, thank you.
Cheers buddy!! Big help 😊
thanks a lot for uploading videos!!!
Great videos!
Thank you 😁🙏🏼
I appreciated you master
U changed my life bro istg 😂
POV- your mock exams are in a few days
GCSE Maths Tutor how would I know what number to multiply by?
You have to spot the lowest common multiple 😁🙏🏼
@@TheGCSEMathsTutor what do you mean. explain a bit more pacifically
@@jackieblake6368 if you watch the video you’ll notice that the number infront of y is the number that I choose to make the same in both equations, I do this by looking for their lowest common multiple so that I know what to multiply each equation by!
Here is a quick video I did on lowest common multiples: ruclips.net/video/4YVK8RhgIN4/видео.html 😁🙏🏼
@@TheGCSEMathsTutor Also I am having trouble understanding Quadratic Equations. I mean I think I am understanding it a bit but I need to really understand it.
what if the x is on the left side of an equation but on the second one its on the right side?
I actually love you
tysm this helped a lot
So glad to hear I could help 😁🙏🏼
in the last question that u gave us to do why did you not just divide 15 by 10 instead u did 2/3why????
Can you always subtract the bottom one from the top one?
It depends on the signs, if it’s both the same you would subtract if the signs are different you would add them!
Thank you ❤
You're welcome 😊
Thank you!
No problem at all 😁🙏🏼
16:36 how come you add it instead of takeaway?
54 - - 2 = 56
i dont know if you remember me but you used to teach me at you old school
I doubt you will reply but for the last question at the end of the video, the ( 3x+y=4 and 3x-4y=6) for x I got -2thirds but when I put that into 3x+y=4 I got y=6? But I double checked the answer online and it is definitely y=-2. Please help!!
Double check all of your steps, it’s hard to tell without me seeing the working! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
You added 4+2 which gives 6, but you are meant to do -4 + 2 which gives you -2. So y=-2. Just double-check your working out, I had the same mistake! Hope that helps!
@@nehajiji thanks so much, I’m only in yr 10 ( one year before GCSEs ) so I’m tryna get any revision in, I’ll triple check my answer so thank you!
OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH
