    • @gasgaming5492

      Yes, because rounding 3.4449 to 2 decimal places will be 3.44 and rounding -1.0449 to 2 decimal places is -1.04.

    I think you have made a mistake on 15:46. I think it's the wrong way round: y=-5 and y=2, not x=-5 and x=2 as we have rearranged the equation for y.

    • @TheGCSEMathsTutor
      @TheGCSEMathsTutor  4 года назад +3

      Nope this is definitely correct! A good test is to sub the pairs into the easier equation, so substituting the 2 values into y-x=3 😁🙏🏼

      just look at the one you'd find easier, like if it has fractions its probably better to use the one without it

    I don't understand how you get (y-2) and (y-3) to equal y=2 and y=3.
    Am I missing something? Is this a rule where you flip the sign?

    • @khadij444h
      @khadij444h Год назад +1

      y-2=0
      so you do y=2 as you add 2 on both sides to have y on its own equating y=2
      y-3=0
      y-3(+3)=0(+3)
      y=3
      henceforth y=2 and y=3
