THANKS SO MUCH MAN
Youre welcome!!! Glad i could help. Good luck in your exams!
No1 trick is to get a casio A-Level calculator
true
There's more to learn too. But yeah, these tricks are amazing
@@pawxgamingmario9813 those aren't allowed in most board exams
The purpose of the function used for the hours to minutes conversion is actually used for converting decimal degrees into latitude and longitude in degrees and minutes and seconds of arc, but using it to convert time is a good way to use it as well.
Oh i never knew that! Thats interesting. Thank you!
You change my way from grade 4 to 9 literally. Man hats off.
Thank you!! Means alot. Best of luck to you🙏🏼🤞🏽
@@brainstormmath he’s obviously capping

Thanks so much my maths paper 2 is tomorrow and I am so glad this video came up on my feed. You’re a lifesaver

all AQA Maths 2023 exam students have a paper 2 calculator exam and thanks to you, out of all of the youtube maths tutors, you have literally helped me the most :)
Thank you so much!🙏🏼 good luck to you
@@brainstormmath thank you for this!!! it has really helped me. my exam is tomorrow
The standard form conversions do work with negative powers - you just need to use the (-) button (under the red Alpha A) between the x10 and the power and it should work.
Oh thank you! Didnt know that
It also depends how the calculator is set up. If you input a negative power standard form number, press = and you don’t get the decimal you’re hoping for, try pressing SETUP, 8, 2. It should now give you the decimal number 0.0000… (assuming there’s sufficient space for that number to fit on the screen).
[This is on the Casio fx-83] 🙂
Whatt this is acc crazzyyy tyy smmm!!! I feel much more confident
Final video before paper 2 and this is pretty much all the revision I did- wish me luck 😂

For the quadratic equation one, you could just divide by the number after by clicking =, then ans / 2a
Thats true yes, i usually do this myself too thinking about it. Thank you!

@@brainstormmath Thanks again!
To convert to standard form as well as using the ENG you can also set the number format to be Scientific (Standard Form) via SHIFT SETUP then on the older style calculators SCI and on the newer ones Number Format and SCI then specify the number of digits you want. To return SHIFT SETUP then Norm or Number Format and Norm and option 1.
Thank you! I didnt know that
Thanks so much helped alot for my mocks shifted my grades from 6 - 8
Thanks so much this is brilliant
Thank you! Good luck!
you can store C as 273 for the conversion from kelvin to celsius if anyone does chem
this is also useful for physics btw
All of these also work on the model i have, the fx-991EX "CLASSWIZ" CASIO calculator. Our school allows this model (idk if its used in the UK) and it has way more functions, you have 12 different modes, all of the necessary functions and so on
I do also use the stored values (I typically store physics constant values, such as mass of e- and p+, charge of e-, F (g) and so on. Its not that i dont remember, it just saves time :D
No one typically does this i think so they dont have the feeling of needing to check everyone's calculator stored values. Although if there is and they check in an official exam, that is enough to get you disqualified so its a risk-risk situation. However I have done this in all of the exams with no problem. My exam center only checks for calculator cover, plastic strap around the plastic water bottles and pencil case (muat be transparent.)
Keep in mind we have Pearson (edexcel) international system so it may not be the same
2:16 it does also work for negative exponents you need to press [Shift] +[ENG] repeatedly until the exponent of 10 becomes zero.
This is a very helpful/useful video 👍👍
Thank you so much!
ik i have O levels next year, buts its always good to get ready LOL. thx for the video
Of course! You’ll be thanking yourself next year!

Thank you so much.... helped me a lot
Thank you! Glad i could help
Very good
also bonus, some calculators can even do matrix sums
(I don't think the calculators shown in this video can though)
You are correct tho! Some do, altho it isn’t required in the normal GCSE spec so i left it out. But good that you know that! Very useful
The white ones. They are so insanely good, they can do matrices, simultaneous equations, quadratics, everything!
@@boarbot7829 yeah thats the one I have
really helpful in my o levels
unfortunately i think they discontinued it for newer models
@@brainstormmath Matrices are required in IGCSE math b so i thought to mention it
also the plotting graphs part was actually mindblowing
i didn't know they could do that
Yes i thought they were iGCSE actually, thanks for sharing it with everyone tho!
Thank you legend
You’re welcome!🙏🏼 good luck

do one for the fx-991 ex calc i think thats the most powerfull cal allowed in exam theres pretty neat tricks in that one tbh
Yes its a very good calculator! I think most of the tricks should be very similar for that model
@@brainstormmath yea bu u can solve x find simultaneous equations pylonomial equations and many more
:)
Yes thats true! The A-Level ones are the bestt haha
i need this calc so bad
You need yourself a numworks calculator, That really is the best one you are allowed, I assume its allowed at GCSE, it is at A-Level, It can draw graphs and solve equations so easily, they're godlike
meanwhile indian students watching in the corner be like 😀 yall have calculators?
Rn im in grade 7 and close to my 'exams' and in my calculator test, some of these will be in the paper, so thank you for this infomation!
I have a calculator maths test tmr too, i wish u the best of luck on ur tests or i hope u did well if u alr did them!
Useful video, thanks
You are the goat!!
Thank you!!
Here's a cool thing you can do if you have extra time on your exam:
Using the variable assignment function, you can actually record down your answers for MCQ questions by using A, B, C, D, for the various options. Here's my system for doing it, although you can come up with your own.
For all questions in MCQ, if the answer is X, store the question number into X. For question numbers over 10, use a decimal mark to seperate them from those lower than 10. For example, suppose questions 1, 4, 7, 12, and 23 have the answer A. I would form the number 147.1223 and store that as A.
After the exam, you can compare your answers with others for fun.
can you tell me how to use that function?
Don't do that it's a waste of time very bad advice. Just wait until you get the results back because its not like you can change your answers after
thanks dude I gGenuinely required such information
Thank you! Glad it helped
I’m so dumb,Ofc I’m watching this when revising for a non calculator paper
Hahah, no more non-calc needed! But the papers will still be fairly similar so not a total waste!
When I was at school we managed maths with an abacus and a slide rule😂
Hahah, they must have it easier these days!!
3 of these tricks came up in my final maths GCSE exam yesterday, so thankful i clicked on this video
Glad to hear it!!🙏🏼🙏🏼
How did your exam go?
