I was ngl really excited when I saw you were a fan of LoZ too (and also saw Link as a pretty boy lol) I was writing this AU about botw where Link is the prince and after I watched your initial Adrien redesign (which I love btw) I figured if Link were to be regal, he’d have a side part kind of like that, right? I really love how you redesign characters not based on you want solely, but also going off what would be best for the show/plot! I don’t know if you’ll ever see this, but I’m a really big fan and I love your artwork so much!
Personally I think that Adrian's vibe is more romantic academia than dark academia, in fact, the second outfit you put him in is actually more of a light academia rather than a dark academia. I also think that the "romantic academia" asthetic matches Adrian's story to. He's presented as an over-romanticized version of who he actually is.
Eh idk, i actually think the dark academia aesthetic is more spot on for the character rewrite @callimara had in mind. In her version Adrien is moodier, more awkward and rigid. He has to give off a distant and difficult to approach vibe that i think dark academia encapsules better. Romantic academia is way too approachable and soft looking for a character that at first glance has to look like an elitist a**hole. Moreover it also make sense from a character stand point to prefer that aesthetic. Sharp button downs and sleek trousers are very remeniscent of his father style. It would make sense for Adrien to try to emulate Gabriel's stern fashion choices as a way to get his approval and feel closer to him, especially considering that they both work in the fashion industry. For this reason outfit number 2 works very well in my opinion. Even though it's on the more relaxed side, it still plays with the same palette Gabriel sports in the suit @callimara has designed for him. At the same time i think that, at least in the beginning, Adrien would opt for darker colors (like dark blue, black and gray shades) as a way to grieve his mother through his fashion choices too. As he starts to heal from his grief, steps out of his father's shadow and gets more comfortable with other people, he could start to explor new patterns, styles and lighter colors, settling then for romantic academia or a mix of the two aesthetics, still something softer and more relaxed than what he's used to. Maybe he could implement jeans in his wardrobe as well. It could be a smart visual way to trace his character development.
That’s the kind of aesthetic I think Adrien should wear! It matches what I think his father would make him wear to match his brand. Soft-looking, approachable, and innocent. A perfect, sunshine boy everyone could love.
I'm imagining an episode where the B plot gag is that Adrien never looks bad in pictures. Like everyone smiles at the camera, but for some reason Adrien comes out making an almost completely different pose like he's modelling while everyone looks incredibly normal. At the same time I think he would have the FUNNIEST reactions when panic strikes and someone yells "ACT NORMAL" because my boy simply does not know what that means
honestly adrian as a fox blond rather than a golden blond complemented this skin tone much better imo. It makes him look softer, more approachable and real. hes gorgeous absolutely but hes someone you could fall for and not just a statue
Among some friends of mine we actually did have a conversation about Adrien's outfit in the show. We've all seen how big his room is, it's like the size of a high end studio apartment. It's never shown that he has a closet, dresser, or wardrobe. Adrien is the son of a huge fashion mogul and he has no closet? That's just nuts! I mean even Chloe is shown to have a huge walk in closet, however briefly. Is it weird that I'm obsessed with this kind of detail? I've been getting into what a person's room says about their personality.
It’s possible- this is me really stretching here- that Gabriel, someone who controls everything about adrien, wouldn’t really think Adrien would need a wardrobe because when they left the house it would be picked for him. So he gets stuck with a few things and gets super attached to them and then wha la! Excuse for the horrible outfit
I do kind of like the idea that while Adrien is fashionable and dresses good for himself since he has personal and practical knowledge of fashion, he likes to keep it more mellow and less out-there as he doesn't want to draw too much attention on himself. He already has enough attention for his looks from modeling companies and that modeling can be affiliated with his father. I also think a more subtle sort of fashion would really fit him - He doesn't seem to be wearing a lot, but you can definitely tell that as you said, he didn't just throw on some random clothes - He actually knows what he's doing. Also - Speaking from someone who does a lot of extra curriculum, I tend to do themes depending on what the extra curriculum is for today, either because I'm using it later or that I'd think it's fitting. I'm not sure if it fits with your version of Adrien, but you did note that he chooses to do the extra curriculums himself and he is a fashion model, so it might fit.
Am I the only one who thinks Adrian's modeling work and how it effect him should have been explored more ? , Like deal with the themes of how putting a child/teen on the spot light might effect them

Although maybe Adrien wasn't exploited for his body due to his mother - Maybe she's what stopped him from either getting obsessed over trying to seem beautiful to other's eyes or from being taken advantage of by more or less terrible people? Perhaps even Gabriel also helps him from getting through being a child model - He knows how scummy the fashion industry is for children, and during the time his wife was alive, influenced him to stay protective over Adrien. And while Gabriel became a distant father once the mother's gone, this initial protectiveness over Adrien's dignity and innocence is what strings the last bit of care for his son? Heck, maybe even an episode where Adrien is being taken advantage of, and even if this goes against Gabriel's stoicism, he immediately steps in and snaps at the perpetrator? Even if he doesn't coddle Adrien after such an experience, he's willing to do what won't hurt his son. And regarding Adrien - I wouldn't think he'd be that oblivious over the shadiness of the industry, and being shielded by his mom could let him be aware of how awful it'd be to be taken advantage of. Yet it doesn't exempt him when actually experiencing it, especially now that his mother's gone and his father's neglecting him, he might fall into the wrong hands in the worst situation. I wished the show actually touched on that specific subject especially as Adrien's still a child, even if it'd be incredibly dark and such a touchy subject to handle.

Adrian's hair actually being brown underneath all the lighting makes perfect sense to me. My brother was born with bright blonde hair and as he got older it took on more brassy tones before slowly turning a light chestnut brown.

As much as I love the outfits you gave Adrien, I wish that there would have been more green included in them, as it is his signature color. But the lack of it is also understandable since Adrien in your re-writing doesn't truly express his true self or dress for himself, but to appease the expectations put onto him by his dad and as a model, and to be able to blend in more and be more approachable than to stand out with the use of eye catching colors.

A piece of visual storytelling could be adrien starting from his vv proper nuetral coloured clothes and extremely well styled hair to a lil bit messier hair (just a lil) with clothes with slight pops of colour and fun. And by the end of the show we can have him wearing green and balck outfits with his messy hair (still stylish) to show his true self (cat noir) is shining through
Yes,I love Adrien's redesigns wardrobe. I mean I'm not a model myself and my parents aren't fashionistas,but if my parents are fashionistas they should have me a lot of wardrobe choices. It's not always the same clothes. Adrien in the show should have a lot of array of choice clothes he will wear. I mean his dad owns a fashion empire,he needs to have a lot of taste. And a lot of taste in clothes.
I'm not sure why I always end to gravitating towards the academia looks 😂 Also, random tangent, but even though canon Adrien probably would suit the dog miraculous and might not mind that idea very much, I feel like this Adrien would be insulted and a bit hurt by that thought. Even if he happens to like dogs, he probably associates them with unquestioned loyalty and subservience, and being compared to one would make him a little angry just because there's a grain of truth in that comparison that he really wishes didn't exist.
I agree! And compared to loyal and obedient dogs, cats are seen as more independent animals with stronger boundaries. That ties into Adrien's true desires.
I found you out through your miraculous redesign series and I really love the way you rewrite these characters and it's inspired me since I've always been insecure in designing original characters!

OOh, making his coat a deep green in the last one, instead of navy blue, would have been lovely. Compliment his warmer skin tone and draw out the green of his eyes.
About tanning: it may be because of relativeness of our colour perception. Other colours of the draving contribute to perceived brightness. And imo it is realistic skin tone change - some people can really skips between skin colours with seasons. This could be in autumn, after summer spent in some sunny resort.
Agreed, im brown but every summer i turn slightly darker and then lighter again in winters. So him being tanned isnt out of the ordinary at all. Infact a tan might be more visible on lighter skinned people.
I really like how the second outfit gives a contrast to his chat noir redesign, since the second outfit gives of warm and calm vibes, which creates a nice contrast to his wild and energetic chat noir suit and look
As someone who has left drawing, seeing your videos made me pick up the pen again. I'm not satisfied with how I'm doing, but listening to your videos really helps. This one in particular made me want to try drawing more clothes than what I'm used to
I personally love the mix of Dark Acidemia and E-Boy for Adrien. It kind of mirrors his dule personality: the clam reserved rich boy dressed in a more clasical and more french Dark Acidemia vs the more outgoing less restrained Cat Noir who definatly suits more of an E-Boy aestetic. It's kind of like he's showing the world who he is all along through fashion and that's very fitting for the son of a fashion designer. -Side Note, but the audio in this one is kinds janky (I don't mind as a long term viewer I'm fully onbourd, but for a first time viewer I could see it being a bit of a turn off as a lot of people like to have videos on in the background.)
i actually really loved the darker, more brown hair rather than the blond in his first design! the contrast with his green eyes was really pretty, and it fitted well with his tan (i’ve actually also used the first reference before! it’s so fun when i see an artist i like using the same pinterest references as me haha)
I loved it! And this perfectly shows that Adrien is indeed a model and the son of a fashion designer with these clothes compare to the ones he has in the original show. It shows his profession and what kind of work he does just by looking at him even in different clothing Overall, I love all of the designs Callimara! Just watching your redesign videos or your videos in general gives me so much motivation and helps me improve my imagination while drawing! Which is why your videos are always on background while I draw, can't wait to see your future uploads!

Number two. I'm a sucker for sweater-esc clothes. Every design is super good though as well! The first outfit is a close second because of just how casual it looks, and the posing as well! The third outfit is very cozy and sleek.
Maybe , you should redesign master fu , I know he’s barely in the show and only used for plot progression but I would love to see your take . Also I love all of adrien outfits so much 🥰🥰

Despite the wonderful outfits and it really capture Adrien's personality, but as you said it looks like it only looks like his family is dressing him up. Personally I think he'd like to or experiment with the "alternative" ,punk, grunge, or the nana-ish ( streetesque japan fashion or Harajuku ) pieces and also having a mix of very feminine or non-binary silhouettes (the androgynous looks as you say) looks also having a lot of asymmetry and vibrant colors in the outfits. I think Adrien would like to branch out to things he's never tried before or modern stuff that he finds interesting that is not usually seen in the Parisian modelling agency or wutever. BUT my personal favorite reason he does so, is that he's trying something new with his newfound confidence whenever he rebels against his father's ideal version of him and truly expressing his inner chat nior (so yes hes dressing like this in spite of his father xd). Lastly, he'd pose more freely like those jojo poses and weird and rebellious expressions. Overall im loving this redesign/write series , Good luck on your future content to, Im looking forward to it!
I'd like to add, maybe he starts out dressing all fancy and as he's told, but as he gains friends and develops a sense of self, maybe he starts wearing things that you suggested, first in secret, then at school, and then tries to around the town
Adrien: is a famous fashion model and son of a famous fashion designer Also Adrien: wears the exact same outfit in every one of his photo shoots Seriously though, you’d think a fashion model would wear more than one outfit. Even if it’s just seen in adds and magazines, give the boy more outfits!
I feel like the second outfit represents Adrian's vibe and how others see him( basically this fantasy that is romanticized). And the first outfit kind of reminds me of cat Noir in a way. The dark color of the shirt, and the way that it fits a bit tightly. I know it's a bit of a stretch. Whoever is reading this I hope you have an amazing day. Edit: I just noticed that the first outfit actually had Pockets at the bottom which makes it functional and adds to the cat Noir vibe. Also the third outfit is giving "I'm a fashion designer's son". You would think that I think that that should be his outfit, but for some reason the Blazer kind of gives me this villainous vibe; maybe if it were a warmer color(like brown) it wouldn't look villainous to me.
As far as him being tan or a darker blonde, he's a model, so make up, lightning at a photoshoot, and even dyeing or highlighting and lowlighting his hair is something he'd be used to having done; if not they make him straight up wear a wig that looks lighter or darker of his real hair to get the look the photographer wants.
I absolutely adore Outfit 3! I feel like the coat style really helps the silhouette flow better, and the color just helps add some brightness to the face! :)
I’d love to see you expand Luka’s wardrobe too, since he’s supposed to be a cool guy who’s into rock/alternative music so he’d definitely wear anything else but that white tiger shirt and blue zip up jacket
I love the first one because it’s very kind of vintage looking, like maybe Adrien is doing a fall themed photo shoot or something in that outfit which makes me want to go into fashion design as a hobby, I’m not going to make the outfits just draw them The third one because it makes it look like Adrien is going a prep school instead of the one in the show, but anyways I love the ring necklace in there it really makes the outfit pop a bit and it also makes it seems like Adrien is just complying with the outfits his father chose for him and I know how he feels I hate having my mother choose my outfits for me too because I don’t like matching clothes I prefer mismatched because to me that is the style I love and want to wear, heck I could see Adrien rebelling one day and wearing ripped jeans and a tee shirt or hoodie or something

What I really like about these outfits is how much more intimidating it makes him look. Not that this fashion style is bad in any way, it just makes him seem MORE like a model, more like someone who would have a fanbase, more wealthy. This Adrien would make Marinette's shyness around him feel more earned. This very classy look coupled with his sweet sunshine energy, him being Paris' heartthrob would make even more sense and feel more earned. I do like how casual as approachable Adrien feels in the show, but keeping his personality and having him wear such classy clothes, it's so intriguing and perfect! I'd also be interested to see how he would dress when he's more casual, not around his dad, just with his friends. How he would dress as he matures and finds himself. Maybe it he'd still like this certain style but would play around with other styles as well You're art is so beautiful and I love listening to your rewrites. I have my own rewrite and I think you are very inspiring and have such nice ideas for the show!

What amazing outfits!! I love the variety of simple sweater to the super layered coat. It honestly feels like the lighter style would be Adrien’s preference, while the darker is what his family is expected to wear just because the visual contrast would emphasize the internal/external sides of his character! ^w^
I think the first outfit is my favorite out of all of them. I get the feeling that it’s closest to how Adrien would prefer to dress, rather then how he’s forced to dress. He seems down to earth so the E look/ a grunge type look would work best for him, I think.
The dirty blonde hair looks nice on Adrien imo. It reminds me of Scale from Blush Blush, which isn’t a bad thing considering Scale’s artist made his Halloween costume Cat Noir.

I have a headcanon that Adrien dresses in high fashion pieces when working or doing appearances with is dad or for the brand, but wears more casual clothing at school and with his friends. A visual representation of how he has to separate the different sides of his civilian life.

Actually, I think that it makes sense that the characters' outfits are pretty "meh" in the original show. I mean they're all in middle school, and who dressed well at 14? In a way, the "stylists" of MLB's failure at making good outfits for their characters ended up making some sense with the characters' age 😂 Anyway, I can't wait to see that project you're working on Cali!
This is true for most of the characters, but Adrien was specifically stated to have an expansive wardrobe and everything in his life is super strictly planned, so I think it would make more sense that he has a personal stylist to make sure he always looks presentable, as to not ruin his family image :)

@@AriesTheWarWolf I mean, I've tried to make clothes at 14 too and looking back, they were pretty ugly 👀 I think the main issue is that their outfits don't fit the narrative of them being stylish and fashionable, but without that narrative, their lack of fashion style could be legit 🤔 However, having stylish characters is always better I think, it was just a funny thought I had because I was comparing those pretty outfits to the type of stuff middle schoolers wear here and it is so different that it becomes funny (honestly, the most popular "style" for middle schoolers these days in France is joggers and sportswear as in what you wear for PE)

Adrien looks gorgeous~ 🥰💞 I always love seeing academia aesthetic clothing, and it makes more sense for Gabriel to present Adrien in more elite, scholarly, old money outfits for the sake of their family image. I imagine that if Adrien was able to express himself by picking his own clothes, his outfits would seem more laid back, yet very deliberate. He'd also wear pieces to express the more colorful sides of his personality, like things that incorporate that signature Cat Noir green! I'd also love to see your take on Luka's wardrobe since he has that chill musician/ rocker theme going on.

Funny enough, in the trailer for season 5, we see that in the past, Gabriel had brown hair so Adrien having this color, that beige-khaki brown hair color seems like it would work as a blend of his mon's blonde and his dad's brown hair color. Adrien's wardrobe definitely needed an expansion as he's a model and the son of a famous fashion designer, while yes he does look like the typical teenage boy, he's supposed to be a heartthrob so you would expect his clothing would be done to better market him to teenage girls, his target demo. As for your content, I've been watching it for some time and I really enjoy seeing both your redesigns, and hearing about the story and character changes you would implement with those redesigns.
If i expanded chloe's wardrobe. Id have her outfits 1. Her hair done in a low ponytail. Wearing a strawberry dress and a matching sunhat. A pair of gold and black sandles. And finally some hexagon jewelry in a redish color. Thiscan represent either raspberries or if people want the cute details of a red version of a honey comb. 2. A sweater with the of the top types of shoulder cuts. Her hair being done in ringlets. A french barre. Some demin jeans and high heel platform boots. Accessories would be little pearl n star earrings. And a gold sun choaker. 3. A pastel blue lolitic dress with a nice hair clip in the style of a lil crown. The shoes would be the kind of black mary Jane shoes. This time she'd have sunglasses that look like lil stars. For her socks they'd be lace netted stalkings. For a small decoration she'd have a lil Lacey handbag that has blue and white on it. Here's my fashion style ideas. The 2nd one is more ment for episodes where she wants to look like a typical model
i really love all of the outfits so it was really hard to choose but i think my favorite was the 3rd outfit! Not only is the outfit itself great but i really love the story it tells too! i could picture Adrien wearing it to some event his father made him go to (like a photo shoot or some after party meeting with other models/ staff if that makes sense) and he just smiles and plays along, but when he gets home to his room he just plops on his bed and complains how it’s uncomfortable (the outfit and the event) or that he didn’t want to go to the event at ALL. and then he sneaks out as chat noir 😌😌
I really like the first design. It might be just the pose but I really love it. The looking down and the softness of his face is pleasing to the eye. Clothing wise I really like the sweater vest one. I’m just big fan of sweater vests

I loved it! Now here’s my opinion on when and where in the show he should wear them: The 3rd one probably in the first day of school. At that point he would try to be formal and a well dressed with a suit style. He doesn’t know many people and doesn’t feel comfortable to wear something casual. The second one is when he figures out that he doesn’t need to try so hard to look formal so he goes with something more with romantic academia aesthetic. Also showing the viewers how he starts to warm up to others which will take place in season 2. The first one is just a casual, outgoing style where he can run, jump, and feel free comfortably. It doesn’t have many layers which shows how easy it is for him. The many layers on the cloth, in my opinion, represent how much stress he’s carrying with him. So, when he doesn’t wear many layers, it’s his sign of feeling comfortable and he would be wearing that at the end when he starts to focus in his studies way more, finds love and compassion with his friends and probably is now being understood by ladybug.
i really like the idea of Adrien accidentally being photogenic bc hes used to modeling. pretty boy out of habit tbh. definitely the kind of guy that if i went to school with him as a kid i wold think i had a crush on him but its just my artist brain seeing him as a muse with nothing romantic (which makes me think Mari has that same thought? like along with the friends thing you mention its just something i did growing up)
I miss the long coat style from your first Adrien video; also, I would expand on the long coat by making its length fall to the top of his ankles and have a back vent, maybe also a capelet. Also, the first outfit's belt is styled too closely to a loincloth.
These outfits are very nice my favorite is the third one I think it looks very good. I would like to maybe see Adrien in an outfit he personally picked out one day. Maybe a band or video game t-shirt he has on when he’s relaxing in his room kind of the opposite of Marinetti who has all these nice outfits she tries on in secret but only goes out in a casual outfit while Adrien goes out in all these nice outfits but has a secret casual outfit he uses when he’s home alone.

Eh idk, i actually think the dark academia aesthetic is more spot on for the character rewrite @callimara had in mind. In her version Adrien is moodier, more awkward and rigid. He has to give off a distant and difficult to approach vibe that i think dark academia encapsules better. Romantic academia is way too approachable and soft looking for a character that at first glance has to look like an elitist a**hole. Moreover it also make sense from a character stand point to prefer that aesthetic. Sharp button downs and sleek trousers are very remeniscent of his father style. It would make sense for Adrien to try to emulate Gabriel's stern fashion choices as a way to get his approval and feel closer to him, especially considering that they both work in the fashion industry. For this reason outfit number 2 works very well in my opinion. Even though it's on the more relaxed side, it still plays with the same palette Gabriel sports in the suit @callimara has designed for him. At the same time i think that, at least in the beginning, Adrien would opt for darker colors (like dark blue, black and gray shades) as a way to grieve his mother through his fashion choices too. As he starts to heal from his grief, steps out of his father's shadow and gets more comfortable with other people, he could start to explor new patterns, styles and lighter colors, settling then for romantic academia or a mix of the two aesthetics, still something softer and more relaxed than what he's used to. Maybe he could implement jeans in his wardrobe as well. It could be a smart visual way to trace his character development.
That’s the kind of aesthetic I think Adrien should wear! It matches what I think his father would make him wear to match his brand. Soft-looking, approachable, and innocent. A perfect, sunshine boy everyone could love.

I'm imagining an episode where the B plot gag is that Adrien never looks bad in pictures. Like everyone smiles at the camera, but for some reason Adrien comes out making an almost completely different pose like he's modelling while everyone looks incredibly normal.
At the same time I think he would have the FUNNIEST reactions when panic strikes and someone yells "ACT NORMAL" because my boy simply does not know what that means

Among some friends of mine we actually did have a conversation about Adrien's outfit in the show. We've all seen how big his room is, it's like the size of a high end studio apartment. It's never shown that he has a closet, dresser, or wardrobe. Adrien is the son of a huge fashion mogul and he has no closet? That's just nuts! I mean even Chloe is shown to have a huge walk in closet, however briefly. Is it weird that I'm obsessed with this kind of detail? I've been getting into what a person's room says about their personality.
It’s possible- this is me really stretching here- that Gabriel, someone who controls everything about adrien, wouldn’t really think Adrien would need a wardrobe because when they left the house it would be picked for him. So he gets stuck with a few things and gets super attached to them and then wha la! Excuse for the horrible outfit
His "closet" is probably a whole other room. And brought to him, instead of him picking anything.
I do kind of like the idea that while Adrien is fashionable and dresses good for himself since he has personal and practical knowledge of fashion, he likes to keep it more mellow and less out-there as he doesn't want to draw too much attention on himself. He already has enough attention for his looks from modeling companies and that modeling can be affiliated with his father. I also think a more subtle sort of fashion would really fit him - He doesn't seem to be wearing a lot, but you can definitely tell that as you said, he didn't just throw on some random clothes - He actually knows what he's doing.
Also - Speaking from someone who does a lot of extra curriculum, I tend to do themes depending on what the extra curriculum is for today, either because I'm using it later or that I'd think it's fitting. I'm not sure if it fits with your version of Adrien, but you did note that he chooses to do the extra curriculums himself and he is a fashion model, so it might fit.
Am I the only one who thinks Adrian's modeling work and how it effect him should have been explored more ? , Like deal with the themes of how putting a child/teen on the spot light might effect them

Although maybe Adrien wasn't exploited for his body due to his mother - Maybe she's what stopped him from either getting obsessed over trying to seem beautiful to other's eyes or from being taken advantage of by more or less terrible people? Perhaps even Gabriel also helps him from getting through being a child model - He knows how scummy the fashion industry is for children, and during the time his wife was alive, influenced him to stay protective over Adrien. And while Gabriel became a distant father once the mother's gone, this initial protectiveness over Adrien's dignity and innocence is what strings the last bit of care for his son? Heck, maybe even an episode where Adrien is being taken advantage of, and even if this goes against Gabriel's stoicism, he immediately steps in and snaps at the perpetrator? Even if he doesn't coddle Adrien after such an experience, he's willing to do what won't hurt his son.
And regarding Adrien - I wouldn't think he'd be that oblivious over the shadiness of the industry, and being shielded by his mom could let him be aware of how awful it'd be to be taken advantage of. Yet it doesn't exempt him when actually experiencing it, especially now that his mother's gone and his father's neglecting him, he might fall into the wrong hands in the worst situation. I wished the show actually touched on that specific subject especially as Adrien's still a child, even if it'd be incredibly dark and such a touchy subject to handle.

Adrian's hair actually being brown underneath all the lighting makes perfect sense to me. My brother was born with bright blonde hair and as he got older it took on more brassy tones before slowly turning a light chestnut brown.

Honestly, mood, Jo. I've been wanting to write a Miraculous Ladybug fanfic recently and every time they post I get a fresh burst of motivation to continue plotting out my story.
As much as I love the outfits you gave Adrien, I wish that there would have been more green included in them, as it is his signature color. But the lack of it is also understandable since Adrien in your re-writing doesn't truly express his true self or dress for himself, but to appease the expectations put onto him by his dad and as a model, and to be able to blend in more and be more approachable than to stand out with the use of eye catching colors.
Eh, his show design also doesn't have much green in it aside from a single green stripe on his t-shirt.

Yes,I love Adrien's redesigns wardrobe. I mean I'm not a model myself and my parents aren't fashionistas,but if my parents are fashionistas they should have me a lot of wardrobe choices. It's not always the same clothes. Adrien in the show should have a lot of array of choice clothes he will wear. I mean his dad owns a fashion empire,he needs to have a lot of taste. And a lot of taste in clothes.

Also, random tangent, but even though canon Adrien probably would suit the dog miraculous and might not mind that idea very much, I feel like this Adrien would be insulted and a bit hurt by that thought. Even if he happens to like dogs, he probably associates them with unquestioned loyalty and subservience, and being compared to one would make him a little angry just because there's a grain of truth in that comparison that he really wishes didn't exist.

About tanning: it may be because of relativeness of our colour perception. Other colours of the draving contribute to perceived brightness. And imo it is realistic skin tone change - some people can really skips between skin colours with seasons. This could be in autumn, after summer spent in some sunny resort.
Agreed, im brown but every summer i turn slightly darker and then lighter again in winters. So him being tanned isnt out of the ordinary at all. Infact a tan might be more visible on lighter skinned people.
I really like how the second outfit gives a contrast to his chat noir redesign, since the second outfit gives of warm and calm vibes, which creates a nice contrast to his wild and energetic chat noir suit and look

I personally love the mix of Dark Acidemia and E-Boy for Adrien. It kind of mirrors his dule personality: the clam reserved rich boy dressed in a more clasical and more french Dark Acidemia vs the more outgoing less restrained Cat Noir who definatly suits more of an E-Boy aestetic. It's kind of like he's showing the world who he is all along through fashion and that's very fitting for the son of a fashion designer.
-Side Note, but the audio in this one is kinds janky (I don't mind as a long term viewer I'm fully onbourd, but for a first time viewer I could see it being a bit of a turn off as a lot of people like to have videos on in the background.)

i actually really loved the darker, more brown hair rather than the blond in his first design! the contrast with his green eyes was really pretty, and it fitted well with his tan

I'm a sucker for sweater-esc clothes. Every design is super good though as well! The first outfit is a close second because of just how casual it looks, and the posing as well! The third outfit is very cozy and sleek.

The second you mentioned “Komi Can’t Communicate,” I saw Adrian unconsciously sprouting black cat ears whenever he’s scared/excited.

Despite the wonderful outfits and it really capture Adrien's personality, but as you said it looks like it only looks like his family is dressing him up. Personally I think he'd like to or experiment with the "alternative" ,punk, grunge, or the nana-ish ( streetesque japan fashion or Harajuku ) pieces and also having a mix of very feminine or non-binary silhouettes (the androgynous looks as you say) looks also having a lot of asymmetry and vibrant colors in the outfits. I think Adrien would like to branch out to things he's never tried before or modern stuff that he finds interesting that is not usually seen in the Parisian modelling agency or wutever. BUT my personal favorite reason he does so, is that he's trying something new with his newfound confidence whenever he rebels against his father's ideal version of him and truly expressing his inner chat nior (so yes hes dressing like this in spite of his father xd). Lastly, he'd pose more freely like those jojo poses and weird and rebellious expressions.
Overall im loving this redesign/write series , Good luck on your future content to, Im looking forward to it!

I feel like the second outfit represents Adrian's vibe and how others see him( basically this fantasy that is romanticized). And the first outfit kind of reminds me of cat Noir in a way. The dark color of the shirt, and the way that it fits a bit tightly. I know it's a bit of a stretch. Whoever is reading this I hope you have an amazing day.
Edit: I just noticed that the first outfit actually had Pockets at the bottom which makes it functional and adds to the cat Noir vibe. Also the third outfit is giving "I'm a fashion designer's son". You would think that I think that that should be his outfit, but for some reason the Blazer kind of gives me this villainous vibe; maybe if it were a warmer color(like brown) it wouldn't look villainous to me.
As someone who is fashionably challenged, these designs are so amazing! I'll never understand how people put together such amazing combinations.
As far as him being tan or a darker blonde, he's a model, so make up, lightning at a photoshoot, and even dyeing or highlighting and lowlighting his hair is something he'd be used to having done; if not they make him straight up wear a wig that looks lighter or darker of his real hair to get the look the photographer wants.

I love the first one because it’s very kind of vintage looking, like maybe Adrien is doing a fall themed photo shoot or something in that outfit which makes me want to go into fashion design as a hobby, I’m not going to make the outfits just draw them
The third one because it makes it look like Adrien is going a prep school instead of the one in the show, but anyways I love the ring necklace in there it really makes the outfit pop a bit and it also makes it seems like Adrien is just complying with the outfits his father chose for him and I know how he feels I hate having my mother choose my outfits for me too because I don’t like matching clothes I prefer mismatched because to me that is the style I love and want to wear, heck I could see Adrien rebelling one day and wearing ripped jeans and a tee shirt or hoodie or something

Adrien reminds Calli so much of the Legend of Zelda character you could almost say they're Link-ed.
What I really like about these outfits is how much more intimidating it makes him look. Not that this fashion style is bad in any way, it just makes him seem MORE like a model, more like someone who would have a fanbase, more wealthy. This Adrien would make Marinette's shyness around him feel more earned. This very classy look coupled with his sweet sunshine energy, him being Paris' heartthrob would make even more sense and feel more earned.
I do like how casual as approachable Adrien feels in the show, but keeping his personality and having him wear such classy clothes, it's so intriguing and perfect!
I'd also be interested to see how he would dress when he's more casual, not around his dad, just with his friends. How he would dress as he matures and finds himself. Maybe it he'd still like this certain style but would play around with other styles as well

I think the first outfit is my favorite out of all of them. I get the feeling that it’s closest to how Adrien would prefer to dress, rather then how he’s forced to dress. He seems down to earth so the E look/ a grunge type look would work best for him, I think.
The dirty blonde hair looks nice on Adrien imo. It reminds me of Scale from Blush Blush, which isn’t a bad thing considering Scale’s artist made his Halloween costume Cat Noir.

I have a headcanon that Adrien dresses in high fashion pieces when working or doing appearances with is dad or for the brand, but wears more casual clothing at school and with his friends. A visual representation of how he has to separate the different sides of his civilian life.

Actually, I think that it makes sense that the characters' outfits are pretty "meh" in the original show. I mean they're all in middle school, and who dressed well at 14? In a way, the "stylists" of MLB's failure at making good outfits for their characters ended up making some sense with the characters' age 😂 Anyway, I can't wait to see that project you're working on Cali!
This is true for most of the characters, but Adrien was specifically stated to have an expansive wardrobe and everything in his life is super strictly planned, so I think it would make more sense that he has a personal stylist to make sure he always looks presentable, as to not ruin his family image :)

@@AriesTheWarWolf I mean, I've tried to make clothes at 14 too and looking back, they were pretty ugly 👀 I think the main issue is that their outfits don't fit the narrative of them being stylish and fashionable, but without that narrative, their lack of fashion style could be legit 🤔 However, having stylish characters is always better I think, it was just a funny thought I had because I was comparing those pretty outfits to the type of stuff middle schoolers wear here and it is so different that it becomes funny (honestly, the most popular "style" for middle schoolers these days in France is joggers and sportswear as in what you wear for PE)

Funny enough, in the trailer for season 5, we see that in the past, Gabriel had brown hair so Adrien having this color, that beige-khaki brown hair color seems like it would work as a blend of his mon's blonde and his dad's brown hair color.
Adrien's wardrobe definitely needed an expansion as he's a model and the son of a famous fashion designer, while yes he does look like the typical teenage boy, he's supposed to be a heartthrob so you would expect his clothing would be done to better market him to teenage girls, his target demo.
As for your content, I've been watching it for some time and I really enjoy seeing both your redesigns, and hearing about the story and character changes you would implement with those redesigns.

If i expanded chloe's wardrobe. Id have her outfits
1. Her hair done in a low ponytail. Wearing a strawberry dress and a matching sunhat. A pair of gold and black sandles. And finally some hexagon jewelry in a redish color. Thiscan represent either raspberries or if people want the cute details of a red version of a honey comb.
2. A sweater with the of the top types of shoulder cuts. Her hair being done in ringlets. A french barre. Some demin jeans and high heel platform boots. Accessories would be little pearl n star earrings. And a gold sun choaker.

For her socks they'd be lace netted stalkings. For a small decoration she'd have a lil Lacey handbag that has blue and white on it.

i really love all of the outfits so it was really hard to choose but i think my favorite was the 3rd outfit! Not only is the outfit itself great but i really love the story it tells too! i could picture Adrien wearing it to some event his father made him go to (like a photo shoot or some after party meeting with other models/ staff if that makes sense) and he just smiles and plays along, but when he gets home to his room he just plops on his bed and complains how it’s uncomfortable (the outfit and the event) or that he didn’t want to go to the event at ALL. and then he sneaks out as chat noir 😌😌
I really like the first design. It might be just the pose but I really love it. The looking down and the softness of his face is pleasing to the eye. Clothing wise I really like the sweater vest one. I’m just big fan of sweater vests

I loved it! Now here’s my opinion on when and where in the show he should wear them:
The 3rd one probably in the first day of school. At that point he would try to be formal and a well dressed with a suit style. He doesn’t know many people and doesn’t feel comfortable to wear something casual.
The second one is when he figures out that he doesn’t need to try so hard to look formal so he goes with something more with romantic academia aesthetic. Also showing the viewers how he starts to warm up to others which will take place in season 2.
The first one is just a casual, outgoing style where he can run, jump, and feel free comfortably. It doesn’t have many layers which shows how easy it is for him. The many layers on the cloth, in my opinion, represent how much stress he’s carrying with him. So, when he doesn’t wear many layers, it’s his sign of feeling comfortable and he would be wearing that at the end when he starts to focus in his studies way more, finds love and compassion with his friends and probably is now being understood by ladybug.

i really like the idea of Adrien accidentally being photogenic bc hes used to modeling. pretty boy out of habit tbh. definitely the kind of guy that if i went to school with him as a kid i wold think i had a crush on him but its just my artist brain seeing him as a muse with nothing romantic (which makes me think Mari has that same thought? like along with the friends thing you mention its just something i did growing up)
I miss the long coat style from your first Adrien video; also, I would expand on the long coat by making its length fall to the top of his ankles and have a back vent, maybe also a capelet. Also, the first outfit's belt is styled too closely to a loincloth.

These outfits are very nice my favorite is the third one I think it looks very good. I would like to maybe see Adrien in an outfit he personally picked out one day. Maybe a band or video game t-shirt he has on when he’s relaxing in his room kind of the opposite of Marinetti who has all these nice outfits she tries on in secret but only goes out in a casual outfit while Adrien goes out in all these nice outfits but has a secret casual outfit he uses when he’s home alone.
