Great vid. I'm considering buying this Adidas and Halston.. A review would be great :) As for the fragrances that don't get enough atention; i just looove Bijan for man, i wear it and enjoy it's smell all morning. The sage in it is just beautiful, i just love that smell, it grows a lot here in Krk where i live. Considering Bijan's history and how good it smells, i don't understand how no one is talking about it. Also Shalimar edp. I recently bought the bottle on Eugene's suggestion, and that is just so brutal for a man to wear, even though it's marketed as a woman's scent.
It’s very deep and dark for sure if you enjoy that type you’ll love pancaldi, the 1oz spray bottles like I have are not to expensive, one seller has them for like 25-29$ I think
Never heard of any of these you’ve mentioned (browses on eBay) with exception of Chevignon . Crest prices are insane! it’s a fragrance I would definitely blind-buy but if performance is a nuisance on Crest , I’d get Chevignon instead. Thanks for the video, Kelan !
1: Nice to see you finally grab the Halston. I love that one. The previous formula is even better too and still really cheap. 2: You low key roasted me on my love of Adidas Sport Field but I’m telling you. It’s a terrific lavender heavy fougere. I feel vindicated. Ha!.
Yes 1-12 is much more my style than z-14. Which is decent but 1-12 is way better. And I probably have done the low key roast to so many people unknowingly as well as knowingly lol
I managed to get a miniature bottle of Chevignon last week, purely based on your recommendation, and its a great scent! Probably saved me a small fortune trying to hunt down a bottle of Polo Crest! :)
Have you tried Dua’s Tsar clone? Got it last week and it’s extremely similar, but the vastly increased oil concentration gives it a slightly stronger bitter-sweetness which kinda drowns out some of the fragrance character for the first few hours. In the air it smells great and the late drydown smells identical to the original to me.
I didn’t know Dua came out with a tear clone ? I remember either you or someone else talking about how one was being made but it was with another company, I have so much tsar though thankfully lol
Hey Kelan, great list! Pancaldi was under the radar even back in the day here in Italy, we were all wearing Rockford, Arrogance, Drakkar Noir, Coveri...more mature people wore Boss no.1, Kouros and Antaeus. A couple of nice fragrances from those years that almost nobody talks about are Elizabeth Taylor Passion for man and Oleg Cassini's Reporter. Passion is still good and still cheap, while the modern version of Reporter smells nothing like the original, so track an old bottle if you want to try it
I had a new bottle of reporter it was not anything I liked so I sold it, didn’t smell anything like it was said to be online so that must have been the old one on fragrantica. I need to give Arrogance another Try I have it but was not initially impressed
I never really heard anything about E. Taylor's Passion for Men, but since you're vouching on it, i'll pull the trigger next time i see it in the wild. Thanks.
@@alwaysbeclosing5797 Since you're here I assume you like fougères :-) so I think you'll like it. It's on the sweeter side, heavy on tonka, but it's great especially in this season
I picked Pan Caldi for my first foray into fragrances. I like masculine fragrances, and though this one has a touch of sweetness, to me it is perfectly balanced with the other notes. Women like it a lot. It’s probably my favorite of all time. Not just for sentimental value, I just really enjoy its smell. I ordered a bottle a half year ago or so. It is a real treat. I saw the Carlo Cornito review, that’s another oldie. So many good fragrances. Good reviews.
Very Nice Kelan....Today i trimmed down my Subscriptions to all reviewers except you and Aaron Terrance Hughes...Guess i am just bored with Fragrances!!!! But i still want to hear about the Vintage stuff once and awhile so i kept the two best reviewers....
So happy you mentioned Moods , I love it, amazing. Sadly I sold my Chevy, found it a little simple but miss it a little now 😬. Hope you can find Romeo Gigli per Uomo , the original triangle bottle, it’s amazing . Try find Jill Sander scent 79 man, it it’s incredible. Grazie Amico.
I might put Active Bodies in the same class as Aspen. Big fan of both scents, but whereas Aspen is a pine-y leather with a massive dose of C10H20O, Active Bodies takes that same pine and oakmoss and puts it into a sweet bar of yellow soap. Incidentally, Aspen and the green-capped Adidas Sport from 1994 were my first two fragrances. The latter was more of a synthetic but warm barbershopy amber with a spicy tomato leaf kick. Man I miss that scent.
Great content as usual👍🏼 I have never tried Drakkar Noir, I always see it at my local Burlington/Marshall’s/Ross but the price never goes down, I think the smallest bottle which is like 25 or 30ml is like $30 dollars, maybe I’ll try it out next time. Have you tried Banana Republic 78 Vintage Green? I got me one of 2.5 Oz last Saturday at Burlington for only $19.99, omg so good, so green so clean, unfortunately is not a good season to wear it but Spring is coming in about 4 months from now so I see my self using it a lot next Spring/Summer.
100% pick up Drakkar noir, look on eBay or Mercari you can get great deals On Drakkar noir. The prices stand in retail / discount stores because it’s such a classic ! Thank you for watching and commenting dude
Regarding the BR Vintage Green, i enjoy it. I've barely worn it, but to me it's a great modern lighter take on the green colognes from back when. And do try enjoying it in the cooler weather too. You'd be a little surprised how versatile it is.
@@alwaysbeclosing5797 Thanks for the info I will try it, as soon as I put my hands on the box I knew it was going to be good, the box very well done, hard and heavy, same thing with the bottle, thick and heavy, I can’t believe it was only $19.99, for that price I’m going back for the Neroli Woods also😁
@@ScentsOfSouthJersey Thought you might get a chuckle out of this. When Drakkar became a big hit in the 80s, someone gave me a gift set... It consisted of a small bottle of cologne, shave balm, a deodorant stick, and last but not least, a small wrench... 🙄
