just wanted to say the editing on this channel has improved so much! it's super helpful that you play the segments of the song they're talking about and put definitions and graphics. it makes the commentary so much easier to digest.
Sadly jazz bar does not have enough jazz for them to like it :( whenever I show them a pop song that only has a tiny bit of jazz influence, they become really critical (especially if the jazz influence mainly comes from a walking bass only in one section of a song).
In the Frozen is one of the most atmospheric songs I have heard in kpop. Really conjures up images of a barren frozen land, melancholic but with a slight bit of hope of the single blooming flower! Something about it just ticks all my boxes and might be my favourite track of theirs of all. When it builds to the end and they finally mention the title, descending into electronic chaos it is so satisfying. I would KILL to see choreo for it :(
Dc being compared to Beethoven yet Korea still sleeps on them... They're getting more recognised lately tho, so hopefully next comeback will do the trick...
Part of the reason I love In the Frozen so much is it feels like I’m being taken to a whole new world. I’ve always been obsessed with similar otherworldly and ethereal songs. Psytrance might really be one of my favorite genres I never knew I had.
please please PLEASE give Seven Lions a chance than mans music is best described as otherwordly! If you enjoyed this song I can guarantee you will enjoy his songs!
@@artoriasoftheabyss1575 Hey! I just wanna say that Seven Lions' music is so freakin' amazing! I just discovered him today and OMG my phone is now filled with his songs! Thank you for mentioning him here! If it wasn't for your comment I wouldn't be able to know such an amazing artist as him.
"It's like Beethoven" Well... I don't know what much about classical music but that sounds like a hell of a comparison. I love it... LEEZ and Ollounder are that good
This entire album was so amazing and felt so well thought out by the producers. I'm really bummed Handong couldn't be there for it, but they keep getting better and better and she'll be back eventually with everything she's learning through Idol Producer, so we'll get her in a future amazing album. I agree with a lot of other people in the comments. In the Frozen is easily one of my all time favorite Dreamcatcher tracks!
The album is so good that I thought how could they make a better one. BUT that's exactly how they will: with Handong. I just felt like it's the perfect narrative, they became better but got separated, now imagine this quality with one more member.
Your analysis blew my mind a little bit. I love the track but now I know more about why I love it so much. The blend of their vocals, the way the bass behaves, the interesting and varied percussion, the otherwordly sounds, I understand what I am listening to now. Thank you once again, ReacttotheK!
After knowing this channel, I always try to enjoy the variety instruments in the song even if I dont understand about music. Just trying finding them out.
When Kevin mentioned Infected Mushroom, I was like "Holy shit I forgot about them!!!!!!" They sure had some interesting music lol. Also, can't wait for the Cacophony video!!
Dude I'm a hardcore infected mushroom fan and my entire soul lit up when he mentioned them. Kpop and my other musical tastes have existed in such separate realms in my mind it took me until now to put my finger on why some of this shit was so awesomely familiar. such a spot the fuck on call.
Before I watch the video, as an Insomnia I really liked In the Frozen and I LOVED and Dystopia: The Tree of Language as a whole. It's a really cool evolution away from the Nightmare arc, both visually and in Dreamcatcher's soundscape. You can really tell LEEZ and Ollounder had fun composing, mixing and arranging every song on the album. In the Frozen is a really fun, uptempo electronic song which really diverges from Dreamcatcher's traditionally heavier rock/metal sound. It paints a beautiful soundscape leading to its "killing part" which is the drop in the chorus leading to what I can only imagine to be epic, super cool and beautiful dancing live! I'm really excited to see the CMR reactors' views on the song. Looking forward to the reactors explaining to me exactly what it is about the musicality of the song that I love, as per usual! I was surprised to see Stephen vibing to the chorus, I often find his opinions differ from mine. Fiona's anecdote rings super true to me. Whenever I listen to higher pitch uptempo sections all I wanna do is start moving my body. I'm sure producers take full advantage of this but I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing if they do.
YES ! my 2nd fav b side of the album after "black or white" 🤩 I enjoy Red velvet and dreamcatcher's reaction videos the most in this channel , they have the best discography in k-pop💘

It works especially well in contrast to Sahara before it which rly creates the image of a desert.
