- Ryanair updated their luggage policy again! Here's my new updated video for you in 2020! • Ryanair Luggage Policy...
The correct Ryanair bag sizes in 2020 are:
Small bag in video, RiutBag Crush: bit.ly/35KADrR
Large cabin bag in video, RiutBag X35: bit.ly/36T3AU4

Ryanair has changed its luggage for non-priority flyers in 2018. I took my RiutBag X25 - 55cm x 35cm x 20cm - and a small, stuff bag RiutBag Crush just in case so I can take my laptop on board if my main bag needs to go in the hold. I didn't buy the extra priority pass for £5/€6. Here's what happened.

Nice video! The explanation about baggage policy is clearer than on the website. Thank you!
I am glad I paid priority for my next Ryanair flight , I can bring 2 bags in the cabin, I can pass through before and I already have a sit that I picked.. I make my life less stressful
Silvia its a complete waste of money though. Doesn't matter where you sit, its less stressful without paying cos you can just collect your main bag from the carousel and not have to drag it down from the top in the cabin
Id really urgently like to ask- what can I bring with me if Ive booked the non priority (no extra fees) option? My friend booked it for me and Ive a 44x40x20 bag or something but im wondering:
A) can I carry a small ladies folder handbag with my passport and money in?
B) is my less than 100ml liquid make up, nose spray and electronic razor machine allowed in the big bag?
Im confused :/
TBH everyone have an own opinion but for me is better the way I do it so when I leave the plane I don't even have to wait for the bags, anyway drag the bag on the top of the cabin for me is the last of all the worries
without priority, no extra fees u can bring only a little bag that still have the right size, and of course always bring the passport with you, the razor and everything else is allowed yes as far as is only in the big one, as it will not go in the plane cabin, so you will have to wait for it at the carousel at the end
Silvia so 1 suitcase at 55x40x20 with my make up etc in it and 1 small handbag for passport? Thank you soo much for replying!! 💖💞
Useful stuff here
Easyjet Cabin bag
Maximum size 56x45x25cm, including handles and wheels. Cabin bags should be placed in the overhead lockers or if small enough under the seat in front of you. No more ryanair for me.....
The comment from Lerxst94 is personal and cruel - totally irrelevant & irreverent........ what a callous & vile person
If you're stupid enough to fly Ryanair, you must expect to be charged for every thing they can screw out of you!
You really didn't explain whether you put your bag overhead or underseat.
Personally I wouldn’t put this to the test if you’re keen to have your luggage with you in the cabin and enjoy peace of mind. For the price of £5 you have the reassurance that your bags are safe & accessible, with the added bonus that you won’t have to wait around at baggage collection. It also avoids the possibility of any of your luggage going missing.
But what about safety? It just seems to me that the bags taken on 'hold' are more likely to get lost? Do they mark every bag when they do so? First time using Ryan Air and I'm taking a small bag with a 50L backpack, and I'm nervous out of my mind.
I have no idea whether your 50L backpack conforms to Ryanair's hand luggage size policy. If it does but you have a non-priority booking then it'll be taken into the hold. As I stated before it's worth paying £5 to have it with you in the cabin - especially if you are "nervous out of your mind".........
Mary McNally it's the first time I'm travelling overseas and navigating in a foreign language (I'm not an english native, obviously lol), this is a new jargon to me. Thanks for your answer!
Your English is wonderful! Good luck & enjoy your trip
Mary McNally thank you!
Thank you for this video , you're a star.
My first time booking online...problem is how on earth do I get a boarding pass online....HELP1
If you paid for your seat u can check in 60 days before the flight. If u have opted for the free allocated seat then u can only check in 2 days before the flight. to check in go on the Ryanair website and click on check in, then put in booking ref number. You will then have the option of printing boarding pass now or download to computer. Once u have checked in you can keep going back to website to reprint pass as many times as u like. You can also download the app where the boarding pass is downloaded to your phone which you show at the airport.
For future flights, I highly recommend downloading the Ryanair app right before your flight (then delete it again afterwards), you can check in and use the boarding pass on your phone to scan through at security and at the gate. You can check the status of the flight easily too.
Obviously just make sure you have your phone charged and if you're travelling in a group, have everyone get the app in case your phone does die or something happens.
@@derekferguson2328 This is very helpful, thank you :)
@@iuiditwhite1879 I would say print if for safety in case your phone battery goes off or you have any trouble, but phone should be enough I think. I'm no expert though
@@iuiditwhite1879 ok so you need to either print off the boarding pass or you can download the Ryanair app and use the digital copy of the boarding pass. I usually download the app and then delete straight after flying.

ThatOnePerson they go along the non priority q check everyones tickets and then put a luggage tag on your large item if you do not have priority, u then take it and hand it to the baggae handlers they then load them all up, mine has come round on the carousel at baggage claim everytime so far.
S.E. Hunt thank you!
what did they say?
can you update us on the situation?
ThatOnePerson they actually take really good care of them compared to what you would expect.
I’ve never had any problems with Ryanair.
They dont weight the bsg?
So did you end up placing your bag in the hold?
What about the sidebag if its smaller than that part does it still go through
Ni är väldigt jobbiga! Det är absolut sista gången jag flyger med Er!!!
“If it fits, it flies” My mums bag fitted, but didn’t fly..
RyanAir updated this bags policy in November 2018... so they may be a bit stricter. The Priority Pass Price has increased too - so I'm reading between the lines that they may start to be a bit stricter at the front line. I spent an hour researching last night for travel with a family of 5 - and decided in the end that although an additional £40 - having the two extra cabin bags as carry on (as part of the Priority option) will prevent headaches on the day. Was 10% of the total price. It was close though - as we would have all had the free 'Cabin Bag' option and we had 2 x 20kg bags in checked luggage (in the hold).
same in 2021
So why not just put the items from the two extra cabin bags into the hold luggage as you had already paid for that too and what could you need on the flight that couldn't fit into the personal item allowed on the flight! this makes zero sense!
f I bought a ticket on July 20, but will fly by 20.12, will I have to pay for luggage?
they said on their website , this policy will NOT apply to people who have booked their tickets before 31 august ( sorry for my bad English )
Thanks for video🙂
Ryanair your new bag policy I’m not going to moan about it it’s easy and straightforward to understand pay for priority is about £5 or £6 it’s not a problem nor any issue
How as they separate the people who pay the priority pass luggage from the wos not pay, we usually board a bus that takes us to the board aircraft everyone together? That is not fair
I hate you Ryanair! You are just greedy company looking for easy many. And flying with you is like riding by crowded bus in the city centre at rush hours.
atleast they are cheaper than others
@@coolencespeedruns3325 dont be funny, Buses are always cheaper.
@@gwidonpopielski2885 I doubt a bus from Scotland to Spain is cheaper than Ryanair
what if my laptop measures more than 35x20x20cm? Can I leave it in my older "cabin bag" which will be put in the hold ("restricted items in hold, ie electronic devices") or should I try to get it through at the boarding gate in my "small handbag" ?
tumblefleas lol if you could afford that laptop I'm sure you would not fly Ryanair :-)
How is the price and size related? My latest laptop is with 16 inch screen, not even 17, like the one before, and still is a little bigger than these measurements :DDD@@bubba1984
Thank you for sharing 🙏🏽😊
could a backpack fit??
Thanks for this
Keep flying that shit...
They let me take on my small suitcase a rucksack and a camera bag.
Did u get it fixed yet
Really happy you made this video!
You can actually bring two bags on the plane without the priority ticket. As it says on the sign at the beginninng, there's 'in hold - no fee' on the hand luggage. You can bring your smaller cabin bag with you on the plane and your hand luggage will be stored in the luggage area of the plane together with the bigger suitcases right after boarding. Ryanair is so confusing.
To be honest, it loos like they just trust you to put your bag on the luggage trailers so what's stopping you from just taking it straight onto the plane...
WeMuckAround they have an employe checking your luggage size right before the boarding. Sometimes less strict
WeMuckAround there's usually baggage handlers who take any luggage with a yellow tag but in theory you can rip that tag off while walking out to the runway
All about to change in november.

Thanks. This helped :)

very informative video! clear explanation about baggage policy :) Thank you!
Do you think they would allow me to take a carry on backpack on if it is ~59cm long?
Did they allow you? I have the same issue now.
@@miroslavmilosev9928 Did they allow you? i have the same issue now.
Why risk it!

Ryannair: fly for 5 dollars, literally
very good idea.stops crushing on plane and stops squeezing bags into overhead compartments when there is no room,,
Ok. Lets say they marked my hand luggage and tell me to put into the hold, does somebody control me after I cross the gate? Will somebody notice If I unstick my baggage and take it on the board?
Anna el I guess nope:P I'll try it next week and tell you 😂
Yes they will. On Ryanair flights, your boarding pass is checked again by the cabin crew once you actually board the plane.
Please don't unstick it......just try passing without doing that.
@@umentabraithwaite8776 I was just joking... and I'm never travelling again with Ryanair. They always change their policies and I'm afraid that at the end you must bring a chair with cuz there will be no seats to sit.
Well, the whole rule was put in place because of the people with no regard to rules in the first place. If everybody would follow the size limitations, there would be enough place for everyone's bag and no need to change this policy. Shame really...
Wish you didn’t keep saying ummmmmmmmm.

Hey you have an answer to your questions?
Any answers?

I agree, totally unnecessary, and i apologise unconditionally. Very sorry.
Tom,, please dont call her an ass hole. very rude.
Having been previously nasty & unkind, I would have thought you would curb your desire to make glib & gratuitous comments. Only then would your apology have been meaningful. You’re one conceited individual.
I think she has natural beauty and find her pretty. But then again, we should focus on Ryan Air's luggage policies.
