Congrats! I'm sure you will enjoy using the tools. Milwaukee makes great power tools, whether they are M18, M12 or Fuel. All you need now is the packout storage boxes to take your tools on the go :)

So the multi, right angle drill and angle grinder have different triggers because milwaukee pays attention to market feedback. The right angle drill will always be held the same way since youre using it to drive something at that right angle. The whole tool has one purpose. The multi tool will be used in a hundred different angles and positions which is why it has a switch start even though thats much less safe than a trigger. The angle grinder includes the safety trigger because it is or can be a cutting tool like the circular saw

I went with Fuel because rather buy Al La carte than get brushed. I started out with an M12 fuel gen 3 impact driver and hammer drill kit. A 12 volt brushless will always beat an 18 volt brushed tool.

P.S. Gonna leave this on top so no one thinks I'm pulling this all out of my arse. I'm literally checking the lowest current prices as I post this. I also sell tools on eBay so I know they can also go for WAY less then this. I'm going off of actually listings that you can buy right now. If I check the sale history for every item I mentioned they consistently sell a dozen or so a month for $10 all the way to $30 less. That said, my original post is below
$2000? Good God! That's a rip off! I'm pretty sure you can still return that if you have the receipt. Actually, even if you don't you can return it for store credit.
2 grand could've gotten you an entire DeWalt XR, even the new Extreme set. You could've even got all of those items as Milwaukee *fuel* if you had bought off of eBay or Amazon. (Preferably eBay, they have more competitive prices) could've had yourself a bunch of brushless heavy duty construction capable tools for that money.
Minus the light, the speakers, the fan, the blower and the vacuum and the right angle drill and the second *GIANT* impact wrench (Yes they're both giant). (NVM, did the math below, you could've got literally every item that they produce a *Fuel* version of, plus all the bells and whistles if you wanted them, like the lights and vacuum's)
    280+100+100+120+170+220
    +160+87+170= $1407
    · Fuel SDS-Plus Rotary hammer - $280
    · Fuel Hammer Drill/Driver - $99
    · Fuel Impact Driver - $99 (or the hydraulic Surge model 1/4" driver for same price)
    · (2) TWO XC *5.0Ah* Batteries - $120
    · Fuel M18 Multi-Tool - $170
    · M18 Fuel Mid-Torque Compact Impact Wrench - $220 (Just released, it's the newest generation, it literally looks like something from the future)
    · M18 Fuel Grinder - $160
    · M18 Fuel Sawzall Recipe Saw - $170
    · M18 (Non-Fuel) Orbital Sander - $87
(Don't think they make a Fuel Orbital)
$1400 for the next gen models of the best of the best. Plus two XC 5.0Ah batteries which will be able to take all your tools to speeds and power that the 3.0Ah could never dream of! With tax you're at what, like $1520 maybe $1530* tops?
If you paid tax for your tool set it was really, $2160 bucks or so. That's $640 bucks left over if you did pay tax which, I'm sure you did. And I only used an 8% tax rate, you might be in one of the 10-11% sales tax states. If there was no tax, which there was, unless you're in Alaska, then there is $480 left over. We'll go with the taxed price here, so $640.
    You can buy -
    · Model number: 48-59-1880
    M18 + M12 Rapid Charger + M18 8.0Ah High Capacity Combo Kit - $177
    · M18 (2830-20) Fuel Circular saw - $195
    · M18 ROVER Mounting 1500 Lumen Flood Light (2365-20) - $80
    $177 + $195 + $80 = $452
So $188 left to get the price tag to $2160 or we can just stop there and pretend the price was a flat $2000. For the additional price you can add either a jigsaw or a hacksaw ($120 each) another 2 XC 5.0Ah Batteries for $120 (which isn't necessary imo) maybe another 8.0Ah battery/charger combo would be better to run the lights and circular saw or reciprocating saw for long jobs. As those tools can drain even a 12.0 HD battery in minutes.
That said. No one buy this!. They're ancient. It's a shame that Milwaukee is charging 2 grand for this to unsuspecting buyers. This set shouldn't cost more then $1000!
But the money spent on this set, you can buy an arsenal from the SAME COMPANY!! Of all their high end tools!! And then some! Just don't expect to buy all of the items at home Depot where the prices are all marked up. #2 Even so, if you do decide to go to home Depot, it would still be better to pay 2 grand and get the Next Gen items. You'd have a few less then I listed above, but it would still be better then this junk! Or if you're buying from a retail store, just go with DeWalt 20v XR or the new Extreme lineup and you'll get the same exact amount of items for 2 grand and you'll have top of the line, new generation brushless tools. Tools with lights and technology embedded in them. Tools that look pretty for Christs sake! They're modern, small, compact, cool. They're half the size of what you see in this video and twice as strong and thrice as reliable!!! Don't buy this set!!!
    *BUYER BEWARE!!!*

All fair points. I would have loved to come out the door with all fuel tools. But, OMG the price... So, a few points that made me start with this combo: I didn't own a single M18 tool so this allowed me to easily get into Milwaukee without having to know a lot. Second, I did do a spreadsheet where I listed every tool in the combo including the fan, light, charger, blower and radio. I compared these best prices that I could find on these tools individually and when I added up everything, it was 20% cheaper to buy everything in this kit.
To your point, if you know exactly what you need and are more professional than hobbiest, then definitely spend the 50% premium on the tools offered in Fuel and forgo things you don't need like the blower(it is weak)!

You don't understand the reason for different switches on different stypes of tools? One factor is the potential hazard inherent in the use of the tools, second is the position of use and the way in which you hold the tool. If you use these types of tools much you would understand this. The offhandedness is off putting and is silly.

I think $2K is way too much money for a brushed set. Especially because it comes with a bunch of mostly worthless tools, like that blower, light, vacuum, and radio. I think you could have done way better if you had waited for one of the home Depot sales and picked up the exact tools you needed. The Fuel models go on sale all the time. You're probably rich so maybe the $2K doesn't sting for you and you don't care about maximum value. I definitely cringed when you said the price though, 😂

@@illgiveitadiytry 2k for brushed tools in 2022 is just a ripoff, that kit should be 1000 dollars to get it out and sold, it's all so far outdated, and so far underperforms compared to modern tool technology that 2k is just a ripoff plain and simple, and it includes a bunch of tools that most people will find useless so they can sell them in a kit with the other useful tools.

My dad owns a Polaris dealership and I wrench on jet skis, snowmobiles and rangers all the time. I am also into construction including building my cabin and garage which I have published many videos on. I have already used all of the tools to the point where I have even purchased more! At no time over the last half year do I feel that this purchase was a "waste of money". You are right that this might not be for everyone but I though I would do a review on it so they could decide for themselves.
