It has to be said, this may be one of the best tutorials I've ever seen. Everything is explained so well, and you seem to think of every situation and how to handle that. Without being to tedious for people who don't need that information. really good tutorial.

Thank you for showing us the PCIe cables plugging. I had to file down part of the ones that enter the GPU because the ones that my PSU brought (Gigabyte's P1000GM), had a small plastic line, rail, whatever you want to call it, on the opposite end of the PCIe 6+2 cables. This means that, when attempting to plug the cables in, they did not go all the way, and the bottom did not -click- and lock in place, as it prevented the cables from going in the necessary distance. After hours upon hours of not realizing why my monitors kept "losing connection" and my 7900 XT kept turning it's lights off (mine has a low white light near the fans), I have finally found out why this kept happening and it's all thanks to this video, so a huge huge huge thank you good sir, I can finally use my PC without having to restart it and reinstall drivers every 2/3 days.

I would recommend installing a brace to support the card to reduce the strsses on the PCI socket and protect the GFX cards PCB from cracking overtime. I was unhappy with the stress installing the 2 x 8 pin power plugs put on my card while trying to manage them and also how they looked so i bought and installed the Thermal Grizzley Wire View GPU adapter, not cheap but to myself worth it, This provided better cable management and less stress on the card and a wattage display. Thank you for providing an excellent guide in the best way to install just about any graphics card, Take care, God bless one and all.
yup, for sure, and in this video I go over 3 that I have used, well 4, I hope you like it: ruclips.net/video/hyEJz56yg24/видео.html, do you use any of those? Thats an interesting adapter, I would love to review one, I may reach out to them at some point, I've never seen it before, looks cool. Thanks for letting me know about it and I hope the very best for you and god bless you as well.
@@MrExdous69If they included it sapphire knows you need it to use there card and it not be damaged over time. Sadly few companies do something from the goodness of there hearts if a bracket is provided then they think that the stresses on the card of not being supported will lead to damage over time.

OR guess i need to reinstall windows
no, you dont need to reinstall windows , from .02 to 6:25 I show you in this video how to change your BIOS from BIOS to UEFI and your OS from MBR to GPT, these cause these issues. Also, your HDMI cable needs to be HDMI 2.1, if you are using HDMI, can should not use adapters, they will cause issues and if you use DP, you need to make sure it is 2.1 as well. This should let it work, if need I will need more information to help yoiu, but give these a try, and here is the video ruclips.net/video/aHVCmkm67q8/видео.html, I know its a cloning video, but from 02 till 6:25 it shows you how to make the necessary changes.
Thank you so much for this video. After seeing the 40 series supers to be lackluster i ended up replacing my 3070 with a 7900xt and its been workinf flawlessly

Ha me too. I was holding out hope the 4070 super would have more vram or the 4080 super would have been a little cheaper. I could have gotten the xtx but didn’t think the extra 10% was worth $250 more. I also could have gotten a 4090 but I wanted to stick with an all AMD build if I had to drop 2k on a gpu. I was tempted to wait for the release of the RX8800XT which is rumored to be faster than the 7900xtx but at half the cost… but didn’t want to stick with my RX7600 for almost 2 more years.
4070 is a great card, you are good my friend. I don't know if you would be hitting your memory limits though, might want to throw up afterburner and enable the onscreen to show memory, you might surprise yourself but still it is a nice card. but yeah the 7900 is much nicer.@@MrExdous69

@@devonefoster105 Well, if your budget is high, I would say a 4090, like here: ruclips.net/video/_AJlNxuukww/видео.html for the top of the top, including Ray Tracing, if you don't care about Ray Tracing, maybe a 7900 XTX, but the 7900 XT still will give you great performance, but you may want to utilize FSR for even better performance.
one thing I would like to add, Its good to remove the round battery thats on the mother board. sometimes you wont get any video output because it simply just needs to reset. it happened to me I freaked out thinking I had done something wrong. Turns out as soon as i removed the battery and put it back it was a done deal. Hope this helps!

You mentioned not to daisy chain the PCIE cable. Does that include the 6+2 PCIE cable that also has another 6+2 plug attached to it? I have a Corsair CX750 Bronze. It does have 2 PCIE 8 pins at the PSU. So I do have an extra cable if necessary.
if this is your power supply, it has 4 x 6+2 cables, which it would have 2 cables, each having 2 x 6+2 Pin connection. So you would take 1 x 6+2 cable and plug it in, then take the other cable, and plug that in, not cable 2 connections, 2 cables 1 connect each.: www.neweggbusiness.com/product/product.aspx?item=9b-17-139-199
@@Pazo139 Yeah, I think about it this way, treat it like a straw. By yourself, you can drink a drink regularly with a straw, the hole is only big enough for 1 straw, but your friend wants one too, you can't fit another straw in but you pop a hole on the side of your straw to share. Now when you suck the drink, your going to be missing a lot, so is your friend, your going to puff on a lot of air pockets, it won't be the same, I consider it similar, you won't get the same power. Is this still the correct process? I’ve watched so many other videos and so far yours seems like the best. But others have been more recent so not sure if things have changed? I’m making the switch this weekend from a 2070 super to a 7900xt. Your setup seems like mine. Amd cpu with nvidia gpu going to a amd gpu. Also even if your video isnt the best/ correct way your video is the best to follow very clear very easy to understand and stay involved. Others were just bad videos overall haha

Amazing video! Goes way more in depth than any other sort of guide I've seen. I'm coming from integrated graphics on my Ryzen 5 7600X to a 7900XT reference card, when using DDU to clean my system of existing graphics drivers, is there any other sort of special option I need to uncheck? Or just unchecking the options for AMD chipset drivers as shown in the video?

Very good video. My sole complain that you mentioned not to use eps cable at putting in the card, it would have been nice to show what eps cable is and whats the difference.
In my latest video I show where it connects, as for the difference, it won't fit unless you push with all your might and break plastic pieces since the mold is different, very small to see. Connections will sometimes read EPS/CPU and PCIE/VGA at least the good power supplies do

The CPU is a Ryzen 5700x3d The ram is 2 8gb sticks of Corsair vengeance The video card is the 7900xt sapphire pulse purchased brand new and the old one is a Ryzen 2060. The power supply is the Corsair tx850 The monitor is an Asus one not sure of the model but I also tried connecting to my TV as well I had 2 separate 8 slot pcie connectors plugged in. I only ran through hdmi as don't have the cables or monitor for the others I'm not sure about the WiFi or legacy as can't get into bios as haven't got any display The ram is in the last 2 slots but has been in them since I bought the pc (used) and hadn't had any issues I tried a couple different hdmis and checked they worked with other devices
OK, as for HDMI, do you know if it is an HDMI 2.1 cable, they need to be HDMI 2.1, old HDMI won't work. Do you have XMP enabled, and are the 2 sticks of RAM on the 2nd and 4th DIMM slot? Also, when you flashed to the latest BIOS, if you came before F41, did you first flash to F41, then F50 then F67d as the BIOS notes state on the site?

I am buying a pre built pc and I need to install the gpu. Do I need to just install drivers and then I’m done. Or is there drivers I need to clear? Its my first pc
I have a short question if it isn't to much of a bother. i plan on buying a RX 7800xt, i an heard a few people saying it is a triple slot card, and we might need a support bracket for the GPU otherwise it could possible damage the PCI slot in time. Know if that info is true?
I’m not changing GPU but will ddu help with my current issue? My display adapter keep saying error I get shitty resolution every time I I turn on my pc . Had to install drivers twice already but ig windows is deleting em idk . It’s a 7900xtx

hey bro, ive just got the 7900 xtx and its seems to be working just fine, only thing is when im playing a game (PUBG) and im moving around its starts getting blurry and like pixelated. what did i do wrong??
Hello I am having issues. I just got an AMD Radeon RX 7900XTX, that needs 3 pcie connectors. How do I find out if a pcie cable is compatible with this specific graphics card?
they really screw you with that power supply, only 2 cables, but they branch out to 4 cables. Sadly, I would have to tell you to use those 2 branched out, daisy chained cables. Check in the power supply box for them.

@tattassipat3059 I needed the model number too, but I see that's not going to happen so here one that will work for you Seasonic FOCUS GX-850 a.co/d/5gpUk1E
Well, it is UEFI compliant and PCIE, so technically it would work but your CPU I am sure would bottleneck the gpu performance. What CPU are you using and how much RAM do you have?
Ummm, I can't tell you, you haven't told me what the dongles are. Tell me the exact model name and manufacturer of you card, I may be able to tell you what the dongles are.
I recently bought a Sapphire Nitro+ 7900 XT and it has 3 6+2 sockets on it. My Montech Titan 1000W doesn’t have enough PCIE socket to have separate cables for all 3. Is it safe to daisy chain one of the 2 cables?
Looking at the package it reads it has 5 * 6+2 connectors, is that 3 cables, and 2 of them have a daisy chain for 5 heads or 4 cables and only 1 of them has a daisy chain for 5 connectors, both ways it sounds like you have enough for 1 cable per port, I am confused?
that one shows 5 x 6+2, they are PCIE/CPU power connections, meaning you can use them for either, you have 4 connections, what CPU are you using and what is the motherboard manufacturer and model number? How many PCIE cables come in the box for the power supply if it shows 5 x 6+2 PCIE connections

So is it strange that my Sapphire Pulse RX7900XT came with a support brace in the box?
not at all, it states that it brings a graphics supporter: www.sapphiretech.com/en/consumer/pulse-radeon-rx-7900-xt-20g-gddr6@@MrExdous69
@@MrExdous69If they included it sapphire knows you need it to use there card and it not be damaged over time. guess i need to reinstall windows
no, you dont need to reinstall windows , from .02 to 6:25 I show you in this video how to change your BIOS from BIOS to UEFI and your OS from MBR to GPT, these cause these issues.
