Been struggling with the driver, watched recent video where you went 1 foot back 3 inches in at address. Tried it today at the range and it was amazing to hit driver like that. Straight and far, thank you Steve. I'm going to keep working on my driver.
Love it pal. Watching this has reminded me of the former touring pro, Raymond Russell. If you remember he had a very prominent and purposeful practice swing, very much like how you described with the one yard ahead. However at address and starting his backswing he had a very quirky take away position with the oddest open faced forward press, which I can only presume would be the closest thing he could do to replicate that feeling.
Once stood almost touching Fred Couples at St Andrews as he brushed the turf with a lob wedge at least 8 times until he drifted a shot to within 3 feet of the 18th hole .... talk about calm/cool!
Sometimes its the simple things in golf that need changing. I'm a mid handicap short hitter (but good round the greens0 I've never hit the ball as far as others think I do or I think I should. This tip, particularly the right hand position is a revelation and has added when I tested it out today around 25 yards to every club (only had time for Irons tested it out on the way to work) I tried it on... Thanks Steve 👍
I know my grip is too tight and probably losing distance because the club head isn't swinging freely. All my mind is doing is maintain a swing plane and ball turf contact. I would be scared trying this because I wouldn't feel under control. I believe what you say is true, Steve, but old habits die hard.
I've noticed that when you do split screen Thumbnails stating - Yes/No Right/Wrong etc you hit the algorithm way better. I have also noticed other RUclips golfers (big names), change their Thumbnails after a few hours or next day. They must be trying to hit the algorithm from different angles?? Your last 2 vids got 42K views!
Sometimes I hit my shot, and walk after the ball, I've hit a poor, short strike and I feel my hands are in tension and I know I have been guilty of trying to strangle the club in an effort to hit it further wrong and I've known this for years and years. But let's try this and see ❤
In terms of swing mechanics this is the single best lesson I've ever seen. 👍🏻

I did a few times yesterday on the course, gets some use to but the benefits were awesome 😎
Some amazing videos recently steve. The way you unpacked that feel is deadly.
Cheers👍👍

Lovely slow swing☘️
If I managed a looser grip this would work.thanks steve
I went to driving range with this goal today irons were perfect straight or baby draw Driver swing straight or baby fade I can deal with both.

So simple and effective….
Wonderful

But on the 12th hole in Pula you should use a driver (since it's a par 5) 🙂
Steve, I assume you only do this with irons and not driver, correct? In your recent driver videos it doesn’t appear to be one of the moves.
This must be southern Scotland
