I've been playing again for just over a year and struggled to hit both driver and irons properly. I've watched countless videos on how to compress the ball with irons and other techniques but, having watched this video the other day, I went to the course, two days in a row, and had the best score ever. Thank you for such concise videos. I'm from Scotland but live in NSW and today, that frost would be lovely as it's 41C! Bit warm to be practicing :D
Fantastic video. You're my favorite tutorial channel, man. Saving this to my "Golf" playlists. I'll have to watch them all again in April. Gonna be a looong winter. Cheers!
Steve, love watching your videos from Arizona! Your right arm drill is so valid even with our warm days! You should take a vacation and write off the entire trip to a warm climate and produce some great videos wearing shorts! All the best from another Steve in Arizona!
So I've now got a sweatband with a t in it.ive been trying this tip as I've seen numerous videos on it.steve just has a way of simplifying it.great video
Bro, this is a very important, simple check point. A lot of instructors are pointing this out, so kudos to you for placing focus on this. For me, I like to feel like I'm leading with the fleshy side of my palm at/thru impact. Without thinking about it... my forearm remains in the "giving-blood" position through impact. My best, buttery smooth shots occur with this check point in tact. 🤟
Another great video Steve, thank you. When I first subscribed to this channel, you had but a handful of subscribers, now you are only a handful away from 100K. It's great to see, and well deserved,
Thanks for the functional tips Steve! With your brilliant creativity you make golfing even more fun for us! To me you are a genius golf teacher! keep it up!
Steve, I'm going to copy your idea to my other hobby Darts! By using a laser pointer on the wrist of my throwing arm I should be able to throw more 180 scores! thanks again for your good tip!
Ok I agree with you except one thing😊 tucking the right elbow is necessary unless you use a very short swing. What I figured out late this fall is exactly what you’re telling us here but in a full swing your trail elbow will move out slightly. What I figured out is to start the downswing by slamming both your arm pits closed along with your tip and it worked great. What do you think?
Can you show us how to transfer it into a full swing. You seem to take a particularly short backswing, is that because you're trying to keep your right arm tucked against your chest /ribs ? I can do it with shorter backswing but find it tougher to get the club and right arm back into position (in front of my body) when I take the club back for a fuller backswing.
I've messed around with the tip your showing us myself .but I've never really stayed with it and given it a fair chance . I can agree it does work my problem is if I hit a bad shot I will stop using it .I'm 66 now and impatient my new years resolution I will stay with it . I put my elbow across my ribs about a year ago and it stopped me hooking the ball with driver of the tee .
This tip is actually thrue, I,m on my 8th lesson, working with an ex long drive and corn ferry player, fix my whole mess that other so call teachers created, golf is simple, weigh inside of the right foot, you can’t sway or reverse pivot from here, next 2 pressure points, the last piece was this, fundamentals do apply , but you be amazed, that right arm flying elbow is gone.
I'm confused. It seems like you are saying to use a strong right hand grip? I don't see how you can take a standard grip and not rotate the club open. What am I missing?
I'm not sold on this technique. If been trying to keep right elbow tucked for awhile now with only degrading performance. I've developed a high, floppy shot that goes nowhere. I used to have a lower more penetrating ball flight!

Great vid Steve - really useful. Realise I’ve been tilting my shoulders too much for my irons. Something to work on.
Congratulation on achieving 100K subscribers. Your videos have been so helpful to many.
Thank you Steve . December in Florida no snow. Please keep up with the wonderful advice
Steve your teachings and this lesson completely transformed my swing 2 days in a row on the range and I’ve never hit it this good

Holy crap... playing in the snow!!! What a trooper!!!
Solid!
Loving it, I feel like I am armed with so many simple moves now! Very few swing thoughts but fantastic set up to let the magic happen

Right on!! Great creative drill. I will definitely start using that drill with all my one plane swing students. Great job.
Been doing this all year- its a Ben Hogan tip IIRC. Lovely explainer.

Tried it today and it works, Congrats on 100K
Thanks for the great golf information. I can easily understand your explanation.
Excellent post 🎉🎉🎉
Great video Steve, I wish I could come out and visit you.

Hi Steve. I noticed you are not open stance in this video? I am getting confused. No more open stance?
That’s one of dechambeaús governors. Places right forearm at end range of motion so face cannot go left.
Always good tips from the trade.
Glad you think so!
Looks like with the driver you strengthen the grip and your feet are parallel to the target line. Eureka?
Very good
Not snowing here in New Zealand
Congrats on 100K

Great tip. I've done this for the last fortnight. Works so well! Much better consistency and distance.
Good stuff!
Moe Norman called this sunny side up.
I appreciate the right elbow tip but I noticed that you didn't position your left elbow per a previous video.
I'm confused. It seems like you are saying to use a strong right hand grip? I don't see how you can take a standard grip and not rotate the club open. What am I missing?
Right arm position described as the giving blood position
I can't do it.

Aye, the right arm is important, but so many golfers don't use the left hand properly. Not worth a pint if the hand action is bad mate
You should have yellow balls lol
