This is a magical swing thought, Steve. Simply keeping that "feel" of keeping the club head close to the trail shoulder to start the downswing is a game changer. Wow, what a difference this has already made in my low point, amazing. Thanks, Steve!
Steve you are the best. You make it so easy to follow. Not saying easy for the student to achieve o/night, but with necessary practise it will improve ball striking no end. Seriously good lesson this. Thank you.
Thx for the video, you are making many good vids which are simple and easy to follow. I'm a Canadian viewer where many lefties reside, likely from our hockey roots. I'm right hand dominant but from the time I first picked up a golf club I felt I needed to swing left which was the way I took a slapshot, it just felt natural. The point of this comment is to say that I appreciate the effort you seem to make to use the language of lead arm and trail arm, instead of left arm and right arm. This makes following along so much easier than having to constantly in my mind switch left to right and vice versa when a teacher is using those terms. You sometimes use left and right as well but seem to do so less often than many others. I am aware that the vast majority of golfers are righties so teaching is mostly focused on using left and right. I wish all teachers of the golf swing would make more of an effort to recognize this issue and help the minority of us lefties a little more with this simple change in their language use, it goes a long way. It's one of the reasons I am subscribed to you. Cheers mate!
Brilliant, Steve. This dovetails wonderfully with your previous video on the shorter, more compact back swing. Fewer moving parts and placing focus on that post-impact position is where we need to be. This is what I've been working on. Thank you! 🤘
Love that freebee about hitting a great shot then following it up with a different club shot. I always try and chase a good shot with another one and it kills me when I can’t replicate it straight away! Same when I hit a bad shot and I try and fix it with my next shot. Take a breath, change club then go back to it. Defo trying that next time I’m at the range. More freebees please ste 😂👍
Great video as always Steve! in your swing you didn't mention the work of your left hip/leg which seems to "engine" the great move you're making. Love ya Man !
Great lesson Steve! I've struggled with the downswing from time to time. Do you suggest letting the weight of your arms drop to start the downswing but maintaining their position you demonstrated? TY!
Shouldnt the hip go towards the target when you are in the top of backswing? Just a tad before you start downswing? Serious question from a beginner who just have started taking lessons and using youtube.
Nearly 100k subs, outstanding pal. All those lessons and advice you gave me is a distant memory as i was forced to give up the game 😢. Still love watching your content mate and wish you all the best. Started my own YT channel a couple of weeks back and i can now appreciate the hard work that goes into it. I'm nearlt at 100k too...only 99,950 to go 😂.
Yeah, I’ve now got a head like broken bottles due to the sheer number of swing thoughts. 😂 Another good tip though, i definitely need to separate all these thoughts though, as while they are all extremely helpful, I can sometimes mess the odd swing up just by having far too much going on in my mind.
Very best golf video I have watched over the years Tom from Dublin Ireland 😁
Thanks 👍👏🏻

Just tried it Steve love it thanks keep em coming 😊
Good instruction Steve! 👍👍
Thank you so much for this. Excellent video as always and keep up the good work.
The best...so clear and concise! Thanks...
Simplified. Easy to understand. Go to the range and work on it. I noticed Steve's left foot was further turned then mine so will try that as well.
Always interesting and helpful.
You are so happy it reminds me of Moe Normans excitement hitting A golf ball again and again. Sooo easy!
This has got to be the best tip I've ever seen. Great video Steve, thank you.

Now out into the garden in the rain too have a go, thanks Steve.
Amen, Brother! Thank you for the swing thought!!
Omg practice advice was a lightbulb thing we all go the range and just bash!!!
Thanks
As ever the swing lesson is easy to follow

I was just about to post the self same thing !!
This is a good one.
Thank you Steve fantastic simple advice as always plus always cheerful 👍
Great advice Steve.
Thank you Steve. Brilliant explanation. This feels will definitely help me out. Can't wait to take this to the range to try this out.
Excellent instructions
Great advice!

I think you should help Rick Shields, you're a good instructor. Helping me a hell of a lot. Thanx.
Please can you make video about how wrist movement works in downswing for pros?
Brilliant!

This is why Sergio Garcia etc look so different than most of us. Wide narrow wide, turn the wheel left is another look they have that we lack.
Tour players have about 3 inches in-between the shoulder and the shaft on the down swing
Great vid, just what ive been working on this off season getting my ball striking better, Does this apply to driver aswell ?
Don't hit down with the driver but up and still extend the arm's though. Steve has done a driver lesson/s.

Awesome sir👍👍
Interesting video - maybe even an unteachable golfer like myself could pick this up !
A good way to stop this is the Gforce swing trainer - great for improving tempo as well. (They don’t pay me!)

Remember what Jack Nicklaus said? You can’t release soon enough. ;-)
Easy to say hard to do, otherwise we’d all strike it like a professional 😅
Just like all golf tips I guess🤷♂️👍
Long putting. No one on you tube does this.
