    I find the problem with people doing RUclips is lack of strategy. They come up with ideas and upload them and post them straight away. They may be motivated for a couple months and may upload 40 videos in that time. 40 videos could be 40 or 20 weeks instead of 2/3 months. Batch and post consistently (and then use a little bit of Famester to make those videos get popular fast), don't post everything straight away post it on the same day/time every week. This also helps avoid burn out...

    • @FinaciallyFree

    Sean, thank you so much for this video. Not only was it super helpful, and we'll apply your advice immediately, but it truly warmed our hearts to see that not everyone is in for JUST the money. Our core reason for starting a channel is to show the world that mass tourism spots are NOT the only ones to visit. We'd like to educate people about supporting local communities, and to visit something else. Visiting countries that might not be on your bucket list currently. By doing so, we hope to open people's minds to thinking outside the box.
    Will be following more of your video's!

    Last year I had to give up my hvac business due to a neck injury. I was a small but successful business that didn’t hire any employees cause I just always rather the liability be on me. Hence I never had an insurance claim. Anyway, now I raise two daughters and find myself in financial hardship, behind on rent bills etc. and have been watching RUclips videos thinking I just know with all my 46years of life and knowledge in many fields there has to be a way to turn my circumstances around with my injuries leaving me unable to do manual labor any longer. So I have been brainstorming on what and how to establish my own RUclips channel and give my daughters a better life let alone keep a roof over their heads. I see the value in what you are explaining and will keep watching and researching you videos, this one alone has already helped me begin to see a starting point and even gives me some hope:. Thanks for posting.

    Your analogy of a lazy river is a good one. The thing about a lazy river is that you can go with the flow and just go where the river takes you. Trouble with that strategy is that some times you hit an eddy and just sit in one place. Then you can paddle and go faster. Buy if you just paddle you will be hitting walls and other people. But, if steer the river you avoid the eddies, miss the walls, and other people. So just like the river your tube needs to be thought out and controlled. Thanks

A lot of the information about growing RUclips channel seems targeted to a different kind of Content creator. I’m much more like the traditional cooking lady in that I want to work towards being a remote spinning and weaving educator. I want to learn how to film what I’m doing for instructional and inspirational purposes. An additional why is that if I am taking the time to be intentional and film my processes, it will help me develop better personal habits, like keeping a cleaner workspace, and planning my time, tracking my budget better, etc.

    • @nataschathys
      @nataschathys Год назад +1

      Hello,
      I just came across your comment and had an idea for your question. For gamers I would say they might answer these questions by talking about how to play the game, how to level up or how to win the game or prizes in the game. I guess the same would go for review videos, you could answer how the product is used for example. Hope this helps!

    • @knights4eva981
      @knights4eva981 10 месяцев назад

      @@nataschathysDon't know if you're still looking for answers, but if you are, instead of "this game is good because of this and bad because of this." Do, "this game is better at this than other games that attempt to do the same thing because of this, and is bad because of this and this is how they could improve in that area, and if it's good I'd recommend it if you like [insert game names here], and if it's bad I'd recommend [insert game names here] instead."

    My comments on the first 10 minutes of video (is a long video). Sean, about the "always new questions to be answer". A couple of examples:
    League of legends (popular moba): always new champions, always new items, new meta (“most effective tactics available”).
    A software update, example: blender. Answer new features, ways of do things/how to navigate.
    So with things that are likely to stay long term, you can do youtube channel about it. And I said a couple of example, so yeah, 2 ... haha.

      Good luck. Not my topic of interest, but you’re getting close to the 1000 subs. Given how hard I’m going to start trying to do this shortly, I’ve been subscribing to a lot of small channels that aren’t necessarily in my area of interest, but it’s no skin off my back to subscribe. Good luck.

    So what if I wanted to ride the wave of your advice and make videos of the ASQ method, but my end goal and my niche is I want to be a RUclips creator who focuses on car reviews and my dream car “2018 mustang gt” I want my channel to be focused on someone who isn’t mechanically inclined doing modifications to vehicles and also reviewing other cars that my audience may find interesting. Because I know I can’t afford the car I want at this current time but also I don’t have the social media traction needed to be offered these vehicles to review.
