if you have issues with h-encore recognizing your Vita and lighting up the "leys go" button, make sure you have vita manager assistant downloaded on pc and then open content manager on your Vita. Try connecting via wifi. It will pop up a pin on encore to enter on your vita and it will allow you to press the "lets go" button and copy files over wifi.
Tip: Before following the tutorial, go to Settings > Power Save Settings (at the bottom) > Enter Standby Mode Automatically > Set it to 30 minutes. My Vita went into standby mode while I was installing something and the jailbreak apps got deleted, I also have white icons.. I guess I have to start over.

Did you do it on Windows 11? I am stuck at the beginning where you're supposed to extract the zip files but no extract option is available on the right click for "FinalHE_v1.92_win32.7z" It recognizes it as a 7z file but no extract options anywhere.

Very usefull, very clear ! Just terrific ! To the audience: downloads take a lot of time... so be patient. I needed about 1h all in (downloads take 85% of the needed time to hack it).
I had an issue where I was waiting for the initial startup for the Homebrew browser for longer than 5 min. If the vita would go to sleep mode, then it would interrupt something and it wouldn't start up at all, so I changed the standby mode in the power save settings and made it 30 min instead of 1 min and this let the homebrew launcher have enough time to load without getting interrupted by the sleep mode. Can someone please help me? I have done everything, but when I go to the h-encore v 1.92 it NEVER connects to my vita? But content manager is connected and my vita is connected to my computer?? So I'm at my wits end with this
I don't know if anyone else had this issue but when you are running Hencore make sure to press the R trigger while starting the app. If you don't it will crash and restart the console. This happened on my 1101.
I am having issues extracting the final h encore file. It is showing to have an internet explorer icon with no option to extract. Is there a way around this? I'm trying to mod my original vita, and I'm currently stuck at this part.

Just noting that you don't need the official memory card you own the 2000 vita model. You only need it, because the original 1000 doesn't have integrated memory (while the 2000 model does), so you need the card to install the exploits.

I have my sons vita which i had jailbroken years ago. During at some point he updated it to the most recent firmware pushed out by sony, i believe 7.31 or something like that. My question is can I just follow these instructions to jailbreak it and rewrite the past one I had in place or do I need to do a system wipe and start back over, which is what im really hoping to avoid. Right now whenever I try to start any program that was on there from past jailbreak like any retroarch it just says it cant be opened. Thank you to anyone for your help.

When I got to the last stage of installation (where one will press x and then press it a second time 20 seconds later), it restarted as it should, but then a popup asked me to either move the internal memory to the memory card so I can access my internal memory from the memory card stick or to keep the internal memory but won't be able to access it. I chose to move to memory card and cannot find the vitadeploy and finalhe folders. However, if I check the settings, the Henkaku Setting is still there. Please, help out.
I created a backup before doing this, so if all else fails I don’t really lose anything, but i was in the process of rewinding the firmware to 3.65 when after it rebooted it asked about moving data from my internal memory to the memory card. I chose to do this and when i got in, my games and homebrew apps were gone. It deleted virtually everything, but for some reason the henkaku settings were still in the settings application. Any idea what went wrong? Should i retry but click the other option this time?

Vita connects to PC but wont register on H-encore If anyone is having this problem like i was. Instead of connecting through your cable, select wi-fi and then click on your PC's name on the vita screen. This will bring up a 6 or 7 digit code in H-Encore that you enter into your vita to enable the two devices to connect.

Try Windows 10, there is an issue when you use Windows 11 I believe.
