A 1949 Peterbilt model 350 (Iron nose) is rare but a tilt hood one is a UNICORN .Only thing I'd like to change is where it's parked .From his driveway to MINE ....😎
You do understand that's a custom made hood! 49 never made a tilt hood! Even he said he had to make it!
@@joemac3118 yes sir 350's & 351's were ALL " butterfly hoods " . The factory tilt hood didn't come out till 1965 on the 358's . Henceforth the "Unicorn" ...
I'd LOVE to pull up next to a New one & see which one gets looked at Or Looked Over !! I even like that Custom hood set up , Great Job I ❤ it👍

I see that truck on the road to the dump every once in awhile. Now I know why. On occasion I see it parked in front of his house, near Sheridan, when I'm making deliveries. Thanks for the story. I've always been curious about that truck.

My kind of truck Denny . I'm 74 and grew up riding in them , driving them . 1st truck I rode in (l.a. to Frisco in '61 ) was Jim Prewett's '56 Mack lt 262 then repowered in '64 with a 380 . That truck was totaled on 58 n.b. dropping off Willamette . Hit black ice went across into ditch rolled on side and slammed into railroad overpass abb't with a full load of head lettuce . Jim and also Chris came out with bruises ! Take care , Neil
