Please come out with a full natural titanium color way. It looks a bit silly to have only the ring match the color of the phone and not the big circle.
I wish I could customize the black circle to white. The black is way too harsh. I have the S24 Ultra in yellow and would prefer lighter, neutral colors.
Just got the luxe 4. Amazing product. One suggestion I would make is I think you focus too much on it rotating so easily and I doesn’t need to rotate so easily that it keeps rotating while you hold it. I’d make it a little stiffer and less easy to rotate. Only time you really rotate it is for kickstand mode and that’s fine to be a little stiffer.
I’ve had the lux 4 for for about 4 months now and the spinning mechanism has def gotten stiffer over time. It feels like dirt and debris get underneath the base plate . I’m on the opposite fence where I want the smooth spin back
USER REVIEW: I have all the grips since the 1.0 and after owning the 4 for a few months here is an honest review. The grip would be the best grip they have made so far IF the adhesive wasn't absolutely dog shit worthless. In order to reduce the profile to make the grip small they made a huge mistake. The rotating piece and the adhesive are exactly level, meaning the rotation happens inside the adhesive silver ring. The problem is that there is virtually no surface area for the adhesive to really set and remain strong. This has been a consistent issue with all versions, BUT with the 1.0-3.0 grips one could simply apply your own super glue that was stronger and you'd have no problem. The 4.0 however cannot do so, because remember the rotation and the adhesive ring are next to each other. Thus, if you glue your grip on the rotation won't happen, sooo if you don't care about the grip being able to spin you're good. Otherwise you'll have the grip falling off your phone CONSTANTLY. I'm on my 4th adhesive replacement, even super glue put on the silver adhesive ring didn't work. I've always been careful to follow their video guides. I plan on trying to carefully apply epoxy to the silver ring when the current adhesive inevitably fails, I'll update the review then. Update: Even with gorilla glue this grip eventually falls off. It's worthless. Second update: If you use E6000 Plus adhesive and just avoid direct sunlight to be safe it works. The last 2 months I've had no issues and it rotates just fine.
Felt this. I don't know if it's just the material of the backing of the new iPhone 16, but the adhesive ring is dogshit. I have the car mount kit that Oh Snap offers and every time I remove it from the car mount when I'm driving, that thing comes right off of the back of the phone. It's annoying. I tried some superglue but then made the mistake you mentioned also and lost the rotation so I just had to pry it off :/ They need to just redesign it with a FULL back so you can have the entire thing be adhesive, so what if it's a little thicker? Also the whole "thinner than your camera bumps" marketing is weird to me, that poses a fundamental design flaw in that no matter what, you can't get a full contact-to-contact secure connect to metal stuff with the magnet. A massive oversight on their end. Likely going to email support and make a return, just not what I though and for like a $100 dollars for the car kit and replacement adhesive I'm just disappointed. Hoping the next iteration of the products addresses the issues mentioned above.
@derickmoncado You need to use E6000 plus adhesive. It's very strong and it's worked for the last 2 months. Even still I've been careful not to let it be exposed to direct sunlight like on the car mount on long drives. But it works. I am even able to rotate it easily after being very careful to put the glue only on the silver ring.
So far, not bad at all. Only complaint thus far would be the magnetic grip to the phone/case itself. Seems weaker than the strength it has to attach to other things. Adhesive doesn't seem to help so I removed it. Anything attached kept pulling it off even when trying to slide them off from the side. Opens and closes great Comfortable Long term durability of the hinge is questionable tho beautifully designed Spins easily Sturdy kickstand Still wouldn't recommend magsafe/wireless charge through. Over all...yeah so far it doesn't suck...
EDIT: I used the Snap 4 Luxe every day for two weeks, and I can provide feedback finally on it. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the Snap 4 as it is. Snap 4, like Snap 3, lets you grip it like you would a Popsocket only from one orientation, if that makes sense. When the Snap 3 and 4 pop out, your finger slides between the “line” so to speak. Where a Popsocket has an “O” shape at its base that allows you to grip it from any angle easily, the Snap 4 and 3 have a straight line shape (like a | ). I always hated using the Snap 3 that way because it wasn’t comfortable *for* *me* , and it took far longer to go from my phone in my pocket to being fully ready to go in my hand. Snap 4 Luxe *attempts* to solve this by letting you use it as a loop as well. Let me tell you…I LOVED the loop feature! It was amazing. It felt quite comfortable and solved the main issue I had with the Snap 3 - that it sucked using for any sustained period. The Snap 4 accomplishes the loop capability by having the grip open and close with a “scissor” action. When the loop was in use, the parts that scissored in on each other were spread far a part, allowing your finger to slip right through. It is a great concept. The issue? Yeah…the pieces that do the scissoring are made of plastic and, after one week of usage, began to *misalign* *so* *badly* *that* *the* *grip* *would* *not* *shut* . I’ll try to explain with a bad diagram on a RUclips comment. HOW IT IS SUPPOSED TO ALIGN: | | | | | | Which, when closed, folds easily |||||| WHAT HAPPENED AFTER ONE WEEK OF DAILY USE: | | | | | | which, you may have guessed, *will* *not* *close* The solution? Make sure you have a good enough fingernail and get that nail between the plastic bar-shaped pieces and push it back into place. You might start only having to do that once every few times you deploy it. In my case, the problem progressed into always having to do it after using the loop mode. So now you have a product that, WHEN WORKING PERFECTLY AND AS INTENDED, takes longer to deploy and is more complicated than a Popsocket. That added complication in ideal operating conditions PERHAPS can be justified by the crazy thin profile, ability to use MagSafe accessories without removing the grip, and a thinner pocket bulge. Adding in the issues makes this an absolute waste of money and time. Popsockets are thicker by a fair amount. You know what they *CAN* do, though? Deploy and work within less than 1 second. Popsockets are “low tech” compared to Snap 4. Low tech wins out here for a fraction of the cost. __________________________________ ORIGINAL COMMENT BELOW I’ve had my Snap 4 for only one day so far. Snap 3 was not comfortable to use, but the loop really makes this a far greater grip. Like you said, the loop is awesome when lying in bed. I’ve accidentally lost my grip on my popsocket a few times over many years while my phone hovered over my face. Having your phone smack you in your face is not fun! The loop makes sure that never happens again. I’ve been a long time popsocket user, and I think it’s not a stretch to say that popsockets are the most popular phone grip ever. You all are marketing as a better alternative for a multitude of reasons. I’m going to keep using this product for about 1-2 weeks and give it a full honest shot before making any determination, but I do have some preliminary thoughts: 1. The kickstand mode is still quite finicky to get to deploy, but it’s a lot LOT better than Snap 3. Seriously, this guy is a major step up. 2. The one thing I got used to (and prefer as a result) from using a popsocket for years is the 360° gripping capability, if that makes any sense. Snap 3 had no loop, and you were forced into that grip mode that ONLY worked at one angle. The loop on Snap 4 solves much of this. 3. I like the little button press to deploy the grip this go around. It makes actually getting to the point of using the product much faster. 4. Simplicity. Does the wheel need to be reinvented? This is probably my biggest question I’ve thought about for this grip. My time with my Snap 3 and now this one day so far with Snap 4 prove to me that you guys make insanely innovative phone grips. I’ll definitely keep thinking on this in the next two weeks as I’m exclusively using Snap 4, but your products versus a popsocket is make me think back to how I view cars. The Snap 4 feels *amazing*. It’s premium. It’s sleek. It’s an amazingly engineered piece of hardware. To me, the Snap 3 and 4 are like a Mercedes Benz, or, outside of a car comparison, an iPhone. You’re getting a hell of a car with Mercedes, and I love how they ride. The only gripe I’ve ever had with them? Too many buttons! It sounds silly, but I feel like when I get into a Benz that they are trying to compete with airplane manufacturers on how many buttons, dials, and doodads you can manipulate. The seat on the Benz can be adjusted, and just the front part of where the driver sits can be adjusted. That’s two ways to adjust one seat on one axis. To me, the popsocket is like a base model used Toyota Corolla or an old Nokia phone. They aren’t sleek, and they haven’t done anything extraordinary to really sell the value of what you get when you buy them. Popsockets don’t feel premium, and they are in many cases quite bulky. They are just what they are. However, their simplicity, to me at least, is their biggest selling point. The kickstand always works because it’s a “dumb” device. The thing pops in and pops out. There is no other way. When it’s popped out, you can hold it from any direction without much thought, and there is no having to make special adjustments to make it go from being in your hand to being on a table as a kickstand. Also, a popsocket is so “dumb”, that it’s very easy and fast to go from not using it to deploying it. This makes me wonder how you guys will approach this in the future. Back to cars, Mercedes Benz isn’t competing with the base Toyota line up of cars. Not everyone drives a luxury car. To end this novel that was caused by me thinking way too hard about phone grips, I’ll ask this - what is the long term strategy for your company regarding market strategy? Do you all ever see yourselves making a “dumb”er product that would be easier to adopt for popsocket converts, or are you guys wanting to keep reaching for that more premium market? Either way, I’m curious to see what you guys continue to do. Hope you all have a great day!
I wonder if they’ll ever answer. One reason this company is not growing so much is the lack of feedback they give. I see tons of detailed comments and it’s rare to see the snap channel actually respond. Even to those who actually like the product. If it’s one thing they can improve on it’s building a bond with their community and actually responding. Hopefully they see your comment and read your feedback
@@franky8450 I noticed that too! My only thought on why they act as they do is simply because responding to people may not be a risk they’re capable of taking or at least willing to take. Like you said though, brand response is a great way to engage with potential customers.
Having 3 and 4, 3 broke after 5-6 months and was basically in limp mode. 4 lasted the entire year and no issue except some cosmetic wear and tear around the painted ring. One improvement could be had is vertical stand, it’s actually not very stable, so I’m not sure if something minimal could be added to slightly improve the stability would be great. Other than that, don’t change the other stuff if it’s working.
I’ve had the Luxe for nearly two months and I’ve been a user since 2.0. This is the best one yet! You guys nailed it with the adhesive, finally, being able to stick to the bare iPhone smooth glass. Not the regular basic glass of the regular iPhone, the Pro model glasses. No more needing to buy a skin and it just feels GOOD. Some other great things I like about it, it’s more comfortable sliding my finger through the loop than the 3.0 version and the built in fidget with just pushing open to pop open the grip is appreciated, haha! The magnet strength does feel much more secure when attaching to equipment at the gym, which is a huge plus! I’ve never had an issue with 3.0, but 3.0 always left me anxious for some reason, lol. Using it to prop open my phone up in landscape is a lot more sturdier as well than the 3.0 version. No more falling over because of an accidental tap due to the pro max being the heavy beast it is. All good improvements! I got the midnight blue edition and it looks like it belongs to the blue iPhone 15 Pro Max. Haven’t seen the other colors in person, but if they nailed the blue, I believe they also nailed the other colors. The only gripe I’ve had so far, is that my Luxe is starting to get scuffed up already, lol. I guess all the attaching and reattaching to stuff and having it placed down all sort of places will do that. All within normal wear and tear of the grip. I can’t comment on the wireless charging aspect, as I don’t use wireless charging at all. I’m still a plug and charge user. This is definitely a step in the right direction with perfecting the ultimate phone grip! 10/10 would buy again and recommend to anyone who has had the previous iterations. You won’t be disappointed!
I have the blue 15pm and lux4 grip as well. Is your spin still functioning smoothly? Mine has gotten stiff and I can hear dirt and debris when I try to rotate
Just got this and have been using it for a day now. It’s amazing and exactly what I wanted! One problem, it doesn’t charge in the built in wireless charger in my Tesla.
So I’ve been an avid popsocket user for years. But when I saw this I decided to try it out. I really wanted to like it, but it’s just so flimsy. There’s no structure to it, which makes it hard to deal with. Especially when you try to pop it open with one hand. Not sure how much longer I’ll be able to use this. But I do LOVE how thin it is.
You folks need to make a Snapmount for the car. A non-magnetic piece of metal for auto mounting. All current mounts that are MagSafe compatible are magnetic themselves, then when you combine that with the strong magnets on the Snap 4 you create a magnetic field that is way too strong. You end up ripping the Snap 4 off your phone. Please fix this.
Haven't had this problem with my phone, ohsnap 4, or my non ohsnap magsafe phone mounts. I have a magnetic cd mount in my car, and a magnetic air vent one in my wife's. Never had a problem dismounting my phone from any of them.
I have the same issue with the Snap4 and my magnetic car mount. Either the Snap4 stays on the car mount (which I realize later) or the Snap rips off the phone.
Why not make the phone facing magnets stronger so those with MagSafe phones (iPhone 16 pro max) wouldn't need to use the adhesive? This is the one thing that holds me back from this grip. I don't necessarily want it on all the time, so if I take it off, how do I keep the adhesive side still "fresh"?
New to this market. I'm really tempted to buy this! But I'm sad that the newest model only comes with a black cap. That's a shame since the Snap 3 came with matching colors. If y'all can make a white capped Snap 4, I'd love to make the purchase right away.
I wish I saw this yesterday. Just bought a new phone grip. I wanted to try something new, since the snap 3.0 was kind of a let down. Quality and ease of use was just not there anymore. I had to replace my snap 3.0 twice because of the adhesive and center piece breaking off. Really well done video, hopefully I’ll get to try Ohsnap again one day
I had the very first Oh Snap grip years ago and while I loved the the thickness, the rubbery bands got stretched out fairly quickly and when not in use, the middle tab just wobbled about. That made me switch back to Pop Sockets, and I'd been using them ever sense. Well, I still followed Oh Snap on social media and I've been seeing their products over the years and I decided to give the Luxe 4 a try...and I love it! Great job Oh Snap!!
I am not sure what model I have, but the one complaint that really bugged me was the fact that the actual part that was magnetic was the ring around the part that actually extends. The problem it caused was the fact that it could only be compatible with large magnetic pads. Also, the magnet was extremely weak and would consistently fall if I went over a bump or something like that. Do the new models offer a stronger magnet as well as a magnet in the middle part that pops out so it’s compatible with the majority of magnetic phone adapters for cars? If not, to me, it’s not worth buying another one because other than being sleek and thin, which is great, it didn’t allow me to use it in the car like I did previously with other similar products. With that being said, if that issue has been fixed, please take my money because that would make this hands-down the most perfect phone holder/stand/magnetic device on the market
please shipping to japan! now i’m using snap3 everyday. i think it’s best phone grip i ever had! not sending such excellent products overseas would be a waste! (sorry for my bad english)
Snap 4 arrived today. The warning that it may not be compatible / able to use non-MagSafe chargers is correct. Also if you don’t use the glue, it releases and sticks to any MagSafe charger the phone is put on. Other than those issues it’s very comfortable. And another factor is the phone does get warmer than normal when charging through the snap 4.
Unfortunately it sticks to magsafe chargers every time I lift it off them. Would have preferred if it was strong enough to stick to the phone itself and be stronger than magsafe chargers and stands
Must say you guys seem to have nailed it. Longevity was my only complaint with the 3, and more magnets seem like the perfect solution! With your excellent afterpurchase care/warranty, you have me selling these things to everyone that will listen lol
I was a Kickstarter backer for v1. I also bought 2 v2 (Still have the white with purple in the original packaging.) V2 Black with orange is on my current phone. The only gripe I ever had with V2 is the finger hold elastic wears out and just dangles sometimes. This looks amazing, I will be buying one soon.
As a user of both Snap 3 and 4, although the Snap 4 improves most Snap 3 weaknesses, the metal part in of Snap 4 ring gets really hot with wireless charging to the point it becomes uncomfortable to touch, it will be interesting to see wooden or leather rings if that is applicable with wireless charging. I hope the heat issue is addressed in developing Snap 5.
This is great to see. What I'm eager to see if you all have addresses are the hinges within the puck breaking after using it to stand up your phone for some time. And regarding the car mount, when are you going to make one able to stick to the dashboard console on cars that done have much plastic within the dash console to hold the phones. I have a S22 Ultra in a Volvo and the mount has yet to stay on my console area while holding my phone and need to know you have this resolved before I get another car mount once I get the S24 Ultra.
I bought the Snap 3 a year ago, and while I was initially skeptical, I can't imagine ever using another grip.... until now. Def gotta try the Luxe 4. Now I gotta figure out what to do with the extra Snap 3's I ordered in case my first one ever broke (which it didn't), lol 😂
My only complaint is the plastic arms. Im pretty sure i had purchased back when the 2.0 was current. And the rubber elasticated loop for different sized fingers, and the way it popped up when you needed it too, gahh man soo good. The only problem with the luxe 4 is those blasted arms. Everything else about it is top notch.
I only have one concern, will it break? I went through 3 and they break constantly. I have to keep gluing the arms back to the center piece. And I don't do anything besides basic use. No fidgeting of any kind
There seem to be a lot of concerns/complaints regarding overheating issues while utilizing wireless chargers. Should we be concerned about overheating? Will it damage the iPhone 15 Pro battery?
Of course there's going to be overheating issues they attached a piece of aluminum to this and not only that attached magnets both don't do well with heat and both are known to conduct it which means having magnets in the center of this thing and that ring around the outside will most definitely cause overheating issues. On their website they claim they said that we couldn't put magnets in it but we did it's not that you can't put magnets in it it's that just because you can and doesn't mean you should it destroys the function over the form in the long run
@@chuckrichardson83 interesting. If you’re truly quoting the website, the response is essentially that it’s more about the function of the accessory as opposed to the health of the device it’s supposed to accompany. 🤔
@ABCmadaAng perhaps. But I'm a form over function person myself. I simply just remove it so it doesn't bother me much in the end really. I'd have preferred stronger magnets attaching it to the phone over anything else. However I can't complain. It works well and opens and closes nicely
@@concentrates I assume you understand how batteries deplete over time or work in general… If so, I can’t imagine you would make such a blanket statement.
Ok, as one of the people who've been holding out using the 2nd gen Oh Snap, I'm going to give this new versoon a try. I was an early adoper since the very first grip on Kickstarter (the one rhat still sucked lol). The 2nd gen design has always been perfect for me in function. Ad a stand it is great, but using it as a grip is the priority for me and I love how I can slip my finger in with one hand and continue to use the phone with one hand seamlessly. And I love how it holds onto my finger so I don't even have to keep it gripped. I never have fear walking in a crowded area with my phone in my hand or taking a photo over a ledge or anything because of the way it stays attached to just one finger. When I saw the design change with 3, I hated it and bought up extra sets of the gen 2 because I could tell the 3 was not going to suit my needs due to losing these features. This new design though seems like it might hae actually turned things around and im hoping that is the case. PS: please make some that match the Galaxy S24 Ultra Titanium Yellow (gold)!
Got this grip a couple of days ago for my Galaxy S23 Ultra. And I am a true believer. This thing is awesome. Makes my phone a lot easier to hold. It looks good. I really like the fact that it's very thin. I used the pop sockets for many years and they work. But this seems much more premium. My only question is, we'll see how long it holds up. The mechanism, although built very well, is very thin, so we'll see how the materials hold up over time.
Did y'all fix the scissor bit in the middle snapping? I had a snap 3 and it broke and the replacement also broke, this was all less than a year from purchase date
I was very disappointed in oh snap 3 and I am happy to say that I love this new iteration of the grip. Great job. I wish this video would’ve been out sooner though because I actually learned things that I didn’t see on your website. But great grip and keep on doing what you guys do.
Yeah, I've been holding out using the 2nd gen Oh Snap. I was an early adoper since the first grip on Kickstarter (the one that still sucked lol). The 2nd gen design has always been perfect for me in function. The 3 removed the ability to seamlessly open it with one hand and to hold it effortlessly with one finger, which were my biggest uses and the best and most unique things this grip had going for it, IMO. With the 2, I never have fear walking in a crowded area with my phone in my hand or taking a photo over a ledge or anything because of the way it stays attached to just one finger. This new design though seems like it might hae actually turned things around and I'm gonna buy one and hope it lives up to my expectations. Also hope they make some that match the Galaxy S24 Ultra Titanium Yellow (gold)!
So with the fact you said there is adhesive, I’m assuming it isn’t a MagSafe grip? I saw a comment here stating the adhesive is removable to make the grip MagSafe? Or am I reading this wrong?
Interesting, I could use the Snap 3 in one-finger mode. I just put on my Snap 4 Luxe, but having issue with charging not quite working on my Anker non magsafe chargers that worked with my Snap 3. Gonna try and see if magsafe chargers will work though.
Hearing mixed reviews of the 4 Luxe, but i wanted to get this and give this a try. So i ordered one, just hope it comes in the mail soon. I currently have an Official Popsocket that is massive and i cant use magsafe accessories without having to remove it, so this hopefully be useful. Hope non-OhSnap accessories would work fine with it, example an official Apple MagSafe car mount and stuff like that.
This product is dope! I miss one thing to make it perfect tho, my Apple MagSafe doesn’t work with the grip. It sticks but unfortunately it looses the GPS functionality. If you guys solve this for the next generation it would be just the perfect grip.
When can you do shipping overseas? I've been dying to buy your products but always disappointed when I reach the shipping screen to only see US/Canada :(
Saw ads for this product on Instagram. Went back and forth on getting one because the price is a bit steep for what it is. Ultimately I pulled the trigger. After using the product on my iPhone 12 Pro Max for 3-4 days (light usage at that) the rotating function stopped working. Pretty bummed, its hard stuck in one position, and I fear applying to much torque will cause the guts of the stand to break. luckily I can take it completely off and reposition it. Still I can’t help but be disappointed with the product. This man could sell you his sweaty T-shirt Cheers.
I have snap 4 and I have been through 3 adhesives already. It doesn’t stick on iPhone 15 pro. Once I remove it from MagSafe charger and it’s a little bit warm after charging, the snap4 stays on the charger. This sucks
So it still comes off with the MagSafe accessories? The keen eyed, such as myself, notice that at the 7:50 minute mark of this video: you held the grip onto the phone with your non-active hand while pulling the accessory off with your other. Let’s hope this comment doesn’t go unanswered because that’s a flaw in your otherwise awesome design, would be sad to see that issue persist in this new 4 Lux version which seems flawless on first impression.
Your "nano adhesive" royally sucks. While I can see it sticking directly to the phone, it does not stick to phone cases. My phone keeps dropping (and has now cracked, thank you) while the magnet remains stuck on the surface I put it on.
What case was you using? I was thinking about getting it but idk if would work with certain cases, idk if it's the case material or if the case didn't have its own magnets
No even with that garbage adhesive anything that you slap to the back of it pulls the snap right off of your phone.... the only thing they did was worried about the magnets on the other side so that the gym jocks can attach it to something while they record their set for tiktok
@concentrates I don't hate it I just don't think it has very strong magnetic power on the inside everything I have attached to it has ripped it right off the case... there seems to be a more magnetic attraction on the outside but other than that it's not bad
Hey could someone please run it up the chain that y'all need to offer a version of the snap 4 that uses the same adhesive as the snap 3 pro. The new adhesive is a major dealbreaker.
I recently upgraded to the 4 (against my will, i was fine with the 3, i don't know why y'all have to discontinue one just to release the other - i just needed a replacement 3), & i will admit some of the new functionality sounds nice. i have nails, so sliding it up or open really isn't going to work for me, but i'm used to companies not considering that humans wear nails by now. i adjust. my biggest complaint, & why it took me so long to upgrade, is the look. I hate that the middle is black. Black isn't a colour i like using - everything around me is either rose gold, burgundy or white, so having this giant-out of place black dot on the back of my phone is ugly to me. it would have been amazing if the centre circle was the same material as the outer ring. If the goal was to make something seamless with the colour of iPhones, make the whole thing that colour. either way, still love these. love that i can wirelessly charge my phone, stick it to my fridge, love the grip mode, love that i can put it on my car charger without removing my case like i used to do with Popsockets. i'll truly never go back, been a customer since the 2, but this thing is an eyesore on my phone now.
Okay everything is “so much better” but why such few color options? Plus the grips have two colors. Why not just one solid color for better contrast with phone cases? Idk but for me that’s the reason I haven’t bought a snap 4. And it really sucks for me cause I loved my snap 3 but I gave it to a relative who loved it so much and I thought I’d just buy myself another one only to find out that I couldn’t because you literally stopped making them. 😩
So does this work with Android like I am getting an S24 Ultra and don't have a case picked out yet does does it go on any case? Sorry but I've never seen this and always use pop sockets.
I had snap 1.0 for four years. Should’ve never changed it or at least still sell the first gen. I bought the 4.0 and i hate it. It basically requires two hands to do what the 1.0 could do (hug your finger for most secure fit). Where can i buy another 1st gen oh snap?? Please help.
Buyer beware! The Snap4 Lux is far from perfect. This grip is sized for smaller fingers than mine. I would wager it is too small for most men’s fingers. If you can find one, try it on before you buy. It’s pretty, nicely made, and the magnetic function is well designed. However, it is not one size fits all.
Please come out with a full natural titanium color way. It looks a bit silly to have only the ring match the color of the phone and not the big circle.
I’m late but I agree, not a fan of the two tone look
I wish I could customize the black circle to white. The black is way too harsh. I have the S24 Ultra in yellow and would prefer lighter, neutral colors.
Just got the luxe 4. Amazing product. One suggestion I would make is I think you focus too much on it rotating so easily and I doesn’t need to rotate so easily that it keeps rotating while you hold it. I’d make it a little stiffer and less easy to rotate. Only time you really rotate it is for kickstand mode and that’s fine to be a little stiffer.
i agree
I tried some superglue but then made the mistake you mentioned also and lost the rotation so I just had to pry it off :/
They need to just redesign it with a FULL back so you can have the entire thing be adhesive, so what if it's a little thicker?
Opens and closes great
Comfortable
Long term durability of the hinge is questionable tho beautifully designed
Spins easily
Sturdy kickstand
Still wouldn't recommend magsafe/wireless charge through.
HOW IT IS SUPPOSED TO ALIGN:
| | |
| | | Which, when closed, folds easily ||||||
WHAT HAPPENED AFTER ONE WEEK OF DAILY USE:
| | |
| | | which, you may have guessed, *will* *not* *close*
The solution?

ORIGINAL COMMENT BELOW
I’ve had my Snap 4 for only one day so far.
I’m going to keep using this product for about 1-2 weeks and give it a full honest shot before making any determination, but I do have some preliminary thoughts:
Have you improved how it latches closed? My snap 3 will no longer latch flat as the arms are so stretched out from use that it pops right back open.
it's magnetic now
Just got this and have been using it for a day now.
What’s the iPhone stand you’re using in this video?
You folks need to make a Snapmount for the car. A non-magnetic piece of metal for auto mounting. All current mounts that are MagSafe compatible are magnetic themselves, then when you combine that with the strong magnets on the Snap 4 you create a magnetic field that is way too strong. You end up ripping the Snap 4 off your phone. Please fix this.
Haven’t had this issue with the esr mounts
@@phxntomplanet what type of phone are you holding to it, is it very heavy?
Haven't had this problem with my phone, ohsnap 4, or my non ohsnap magsafe phone mounts. I have a magnetic cd mount in my car, and a magnetic air vent one in my wife's. Never had a problem dismounting my phone from any of them.
Perhaps the car / day is too cold ? Makes the magnets stronger in those temperatures
I have the same issue with the Snap4 and my magnetic car mount. Either the Snap4 stays on the car mount (which I realize later) or the Snap rips off the phone.
i like the snap 3 allot but the middle part that is plastic will crack down the middle and prevent it from shutting.
You have to buy more adhesive rings, I'm dealing with that issue now, it's doesn't stick at all.
I appreciate your review. I’ve been using Ohsnap since the beginning. But the Ohsnap 3.0 was such a disappointment. Maybe I’ll try it out again
あなたの英語は素晴らしいです!
Yes, you need to report this to their support team. The connection between Snap4 and MagSafe mounts is too strong. It rips the Snap4 off the phone.
You sold me with this video!
Does it work through a clear MagSafe case without the adhesive or do I need an adhesive if I’m using a case no matter what?
Not to mention the stand is god tier on the 2. Its never fallen out or slipped when i didn't want it to.
Not to mention the stand is god tier on the 2. Its never fallen out or slipped when i didn't want it to.
i agree i miss the band a lot that's my only gripe
I only have one concern, will it break? I went through 3 and they break constantly. I have to keep gluing the arms back to the center piece. And I don't do anything besides basic use. No fidgeting of any kind
for android, can my phone still charge using a regular, non magsafe, qi wireless charger?
I'm so glad i stumbled onto this. I was searching for the slimmest phone grip. Boom. Ordered.
It won’t fuck up your battery or your iPhone makes no sense 🤣🤣🤦🏻♂️🤡
Which color matches natural titanium iPhone?
Got this grip a couple of days ago for my Galaxy S23 Ultra. And I am a true believer. This thing is awesome. Makes my phone a lot easier to hold. It looks good. I really like the fact that it's very thin. I used the pop sockets for many years and they work. But this seems much more premium. My only question is, we'll see how long it holds up. The mechanism, although built very well, is very thin, so we'll see how the materials hold up over time.
Snap 3 on my iPhones for 14+ months - zero issue with durability
Did y'all fix the scissor bit in the middle snapping? I had a snap 3 and it broke and the replacement also broke, this was all less than a year from purchase date
It's way more durable and comfortable than the snap 3, but the adhesive will not stick to my case like the last one did.
Really? I’m using my snap 3 all day and it’s one of the best accessories I’ve ever used. Been using it for over a year
@@SpinStreakYTyea three of them broke on me it was a bad product. But snap 4 is great.
Great upgrade, I did a full review on this and can recommend it!
So with the fact you said there is adhesive, I’m assuming it isn’t a MagSafe grip? I saw a comment here stating the adhesive is removable to make the grip MagSafe? Or am I reading this wrong?
Been a fan since the ohsnap 2 but the snap 4 lux is the best by far! So good I bought two of them.
Does the snap grip come with extra adhesive?
It looks good on my Pixel 8 with a ESR Halolock Ring stuck to the back of my Latercase and it works perfectly with my PGU Magsafe Car Mount! ☺️
Interesting, I could use the Snap 3 in one-finger mode.
I just put on my Snap 4 Luxe, but having issue with charging not quite working on my Anker non magsafe chargers that worked with my Snap 3. Gonna try and see if magsafe chargers will work though.
The Snap 4 Luxe is amazing. I got mine recently and it’s great.
Heat while charginf?
How do you get the clock and temperature to pop out when the phone starts charging?
I call shenanigans on taking it off that easy. I’ve even used car trim pry tools and can’t get my ohsnap 4 off of my iPhone.
Will it stick to a magnetic car dash mount?
This man could sell you his sweaty T-shirt
Cheers.
Been a supporter since Kickstarter. Still use the v1 on my Fold 5, in fact. I did not like v2 and v3 was too different. Might give this one a shot.
Dude, you sold me!
I have snap 4 and I have been through 3 adhesives already. It doesn’t stick on iPhone 15 pro.
Once I remove it from MagSafe charger and it’s a little bit warm after charging, the snap4 stays on the charger. This sucks
Nice review. Would you go consider going case-less?
I enjoy this rendition. Definitely going to purchase another one
Are the magnets stronger on the 4 than the 3?
No even with that garbage adhesive anything that you slap to the back of it pulls the snap right off of your phone.... the only thing they did was worried about the magnets on the other side so that the gym jocks can attach it to something while they record their set for tiktok
Yes it is much stronger don’t listen to this hater he doesn’t know tf he talking about lol
@concentrates I don't hate it I just don't think it has very strong magnetic power on the inside everything I have attached to it has ripped it right off the case... there seems to be a more magnetic attraction on the outside but other than that it's not bad
@@chuckrichardson83 if you say so android user lol
so it could be taken on/off and put in different cases without issue?
anyone have feedback on whether or not the S24 ultra S-Pen is negatively affected during use with the snap4 luxe attached?
Can you tell me what lamp is behind you
will you ship to Australia please?
Hey could someone please run it up the chain that y'all need to offer a version of the snap 4 that uses the same adhesive as the snap 3 pro. The new adhesive is a major dealbreaker.
Next improvement suggestion - ability to charge on the wireless non-magnetic charger. Maybe I just buy a magnetic wireless charger for the nightstand
Wait, so it wouldn't with on my Samsung wireless charging mat for example?
the ONLY way to make this grip better is the ability to customize with one's own image of choice...that'd be REALLY cool!!
possibly the best thing ive ever bought for my phone, it's like perfection i didnt know i was missing haha
Whats a good battery pack for it?
Great product! Love it!
Can I install over my case
I think this is one of the greatest Grips that I bought this year.
One of a kind.
Awesome for me …. 100% satisfied. Thanks
One of the smallest, dolt, not greatest.
Will MagSafe charging still working if I mount this to the back of my iPhone 15 pro max that has a otterbox MagSafe case on it
I’m here wondering the same. Seeing people say maybe it has magnetic pushback from car mounts and such so idk
Decrease the magnet strength on the opposite side. Its really hard to take it off once it sticks to my car mount.
I still think the ohsnap original is the best. Still in use till this day.
Anyone that know is this fits on a Nothing Phone (2)? In a way that doesnt block the glyphs.
Why don’t you have international shipping…😢
So does this work with Android like I am getting an S24 Ultra and don't have a case picked out yet does does it go on any case? Sorry but I've never seen this and always use pop sockets.
commenting because I would like to know as well!
Any local seller in Philippines?
If you make a no adhesive version I’ll convert from MagSafe popsocket 😘
i feel like it charges slower thru the ohsnap
Buyer beware! The Snap4 Lux is far from perfect. This grip is sized for smaller fingers than mine. I would wager it is too small for most men’s fingers. If you can find one, try it on before you buy. It’s pretty, nicely made, and the magnetic function is well designed. However, it is not one size fits all.
To make this constructive criticism, just make different sizes.
I wish i could try it before i buy. Its not in stores and no one i know have one.
i just got mine and you're definitely right! i kind of miss the band but everything else is pretty good
No matter how easy you make it look, I absolutely cannot make it into a kickstand. This is making me crazy, even though I totally love it!! Help!!!
This is everything the Snap 3 should have been. The kickstand was horrible on the Snap 3. This is much better.
snap 4 doesn't work with Dbrands Ghost case for Samsung s22 ultra (the wireless charging) very disappointing
When you say it's airplane grade are we talking Boeing or Airbus? I don't want my phone to have any blowouts.
Doesn’t allow for consistent charging with this on your phone case

I got an email saying 30% off, but it didn't work. I tried reaching out, but no one ever responded. That doesn't inspire a lot of confidence.
Great device. One question tho, Do y'all know if you can attach this device to a wallet?
I don’t like the adhesive. Make it magnetic and I’d buy one for everyone I know.
My only complaint is that they scratch easily.
Please integrate your device into a case.
they used to i'm sure they are working on a new one
It's great, except for you MUST have a magsafe case or else the magnet is too strong and will peel off the phone :(
