    I honestly don't get the hate towards this guy. I find his videos very educational. I couldn't care less about the sound. It isn't any near as bad as some other videos I see.

    Good summary. Just one thing I'd like to correct, Watts is a measure of power, not energy. Energy is measured in Joules (J). Watts are Joules/second. Voltage is energy per unit of charge (Coulomb). Current is units of charge per second. Hence voltage*current = (energy/charge) * (charge/second). The charge term cancels out and you get energy/second or Watts.

    • @MacDaddyDev
      @MacDaddyDev 9 лет назад +1

      +Ridho Hidayaturrochman Doze doesn't necessarily increase battery life while using the device. You will still get the same SOT. All Doze does is decreases the amount of battery that drains while the device is not in use so in theory, your device should easily last as long as an iPad lasts when not in use.

    One thing - the cable quality is not so important for Qualcomm's Quick Charge, because it maxes out at 2A(even 1,67A in higher voltages, as you pointed out). And most cables support that kind of current.
    Huawei's SuperCharge uses 5A of current, so if the cable is not original(and VERY thick) it can't work.

    1.) A Smartphone capable of certain quickcharge (2.0/3.0)
    2.) A Powerbank capable to deliver quickcharge
    3.) A cable that also supports certain quickcharge

    Just a side note at 0:36 another solution would be to have a removable battery (and yes, you can have that and at least an IPX7 rating for the wild pool/beach parties or shower singing sessions that everyone seems to suddenly love these days when they are willing to forgo removable batteries so easily for an ~$800 flagship that can easily last for 4 years before getting hardware-outdated [just recently switched out my old trusty GS4 daily driver for a V20]). You can throw a couple of removable batteries in a charging hub by your night stand and throw them in your backpack/briefcase/jean pockets when commuting, etc. and problem solved! I can go without a single charge or cable for a whole week at a time; 0% to a 100% in less than 2 minutes with my LG V20 (and I can quickly pop in my waterproof case whenever needed of course). Just adding my two cents on the matter of finding an easy practical solution to an expensive issue

    • @redwanhasan1721
      @redwanhasan1721 9 лет назад

      +Berto Lodge that's not the issue here, I'm assuming people disliked it because trickle charge doesn't start at 80%, before 60-80% it is the constant current mode and after that it is the constant voltage mode and when it reaches at 97-100% trickle stage starts. So there was a bit of wrong information there.
      Another thing is he said you can use a high current rated charger with a phone that has a battery with lower ratings which well you can use it but it is not 100% safe, the internal battery charging circuit that takes in the 5V and converts it to about 4.2V often provide 2A or more, and if your battery is like 1500mAhr then you can overheat it.

    The reason why batteries have a super fast initial charge and then a slow trickle charge is less to do with the inherent physics behind the battery and rather is an intentional restriction put in place by manufacturers. This restriction is in place only due to the lithium ion technology used in the batteries most common today. Lithium ion batteries do not handle fully charging/discharging as well as older battery technologies and if overcharged they tend to experience a decrease in battery life (not severe but noticeable over a few years). The trickle charge phase is implemented to mitigate this.

  • @JPGarmay
    @JPGarmay 9 лет назад

    i noticed this on my phone it has a 4000Mah battery bundled with 2.0A charger it charges pretty quickly from 15 - 99% in less than 2hrs but it always need to trickle charge by 30 mins. before it reaches a 100%,
    Thank you for the brief explanation! now I understand why 😀😀
