I have suicidal OCD but it seems like when I have thoughts it feels like I want to follow through even though I haven’t. It felt like all I wanted to do was this. I’m in a stage like this.

This is an extremely terrifying affliction with which I have long-term personal experience; almost verbatim for two years; long before it was even imagined by health care professionals. It was a baffling condition to all. Through medical trials, we found that I was suffering from adrenal fatigue which triggered extreme OCD through lack of sleep and inability to eat. I was told that when we physically "fall-short", our minds can latch onto and obsess over the worst case scenario; in this case, suicide. Adrenal therapy helped along with CBT and...9 years later, I'm thriving. Living more confidently and courageously than ever before. Thank you for your bravery and candor.

Do your intrusive thoughts present themselves as commands ever? I feel that my unwanted thoughts have come up as commands in my own voice and am questioning if this is normal. Thank you.
