3:25 Hitomi Chris termination was scandalous but not a "scandal" in the usual internet terms. The tweet that announced the termination got like only 8 replies, "please be careful about who you hire" was the harshest comment. 9:44 this is you levearing the popular misinformation rrats about "idol culture" as something that Fubuki said or thinks. She has never commented on anything like this and she did whatever she wanted because everyone in hololive can do whatever they want in terms of working with holopro members. This has always been the case. 10:06 "idol fans who were screaming and complaining" another bullshit. You did not research this at all. The reddit threads and the tweets are still up and you can go and find that no one said ANYTHING about the male voice itself, specially on the JP side, no comments about it. Some on the EN side were complaining about the same invisible JP fans you claim as real on this segment. The only problem was Towa lying about it and involving the company staff in the lie. She apologized and took a personal break which is still being reported as a company suspension to this day. 10:45, 11:22, 11:33 "backlash, negativity, upset fans"... again and again with painting holo fans as deranged slave masters. When the streamers are late, the fans WORRY AND WAIT, no one gets upset. FBK never makes fun of nor disrespects anyone. When she acts it never to "manage the bad aspects of the fanbase", but to provide a fun moment. The video is good but the boner you dramatubers have against the hololive fans shows ups to sour some of the segments. To anyone reading this, you can get what FBK thinks of the community from the song LETTER☆彡, there's an english fansub upload on youtube.
@@WD_Batora man you must be on something strong to disregard all the hate backlash and negativity they got for interacting with "males" and yes ppl were upset back then when they were late. when did you join this community and what kind of rose tinted glasses have you been wearing if you were around back then
@@zelix5792 I've been around since Suisei's 3D debut. Let me ask you wtf are you doing defending a doxer drama tuber? I've never seen a significant portion of the fanbase being upset over a delayed stream. It's always either laughs, memes, worry... but never anger. There's never been widespread hate for "male interaction". And when you look for that hate, all there is to find is a couple of schizos sending bait superchat comments on throwaway acounts. This is the kind of crap that gets megaphone as something much bigger than what it is by drama tubers. Ayame VCR clips interacting with holostars got hundreds of comments. All positive, with the exception of those people complaining about incels losing their shit... but there was no incel on sight really.
ok i can tell you 100% there were ppl mad about this. How many ppl , who knows , everyone knows that the toxic minority are always the loudest. Also it was mostly on the Jp side where the widespread hate of males interacting with their "oshi" since "idol culture" has existed for the longest time there En has always been more accepting. Don't believe me than answer me this why are all relationships never announced..... I'm not defending him either I'm literally pointing out how ignorant you are and you clearly only see the positive side of things. In my opinion you'll probably need to way back specific sites and have understanding of Japanese to find most of this but I'm sure if you actually research what idol culture is you'll realize its a real thing in Japan. as for the how long have you been around. that was a rhetorical question because you obviously only see things in a biased light
This was deep in the coco-china incident where we lived in bizzaro land when cover was hated by the fans for mismanagement and everyone pointed at nijisanji and said "why cant you be like them?"

"As long as I'm here, you can still put your faith in Hololive." That is such a badass line. And 100% earned and true. In dictionary for the word integrity there should be a picture of Fubuki.
"Fubuki is a FRIEND." That actually made me tear up a bit. This is so true not just for the Hololive members, but to the community as well. We all wish more success for our lovely fox friend.
Fox friends saved herself and most importantly her friends. She hangs with bros even if it was frowned upon. She gave her statement and act on it. Sasuga Fox Friend!!
Fubuki's idea to turn Marine/Shion's mistake into a joke/metric had an effect that persists to this very day. Now, whenever a member is late for a stream, rather than causing backlash, fans now countdown to how long they will be late and update the "Hololive overslept leaderboards." (Edit: current record holder is Choco-sen last October at 5hr 24min) Also, it resulted in more fans being concerned about the Vtuber's health/sleeping schedules, rather than complaining that they are late to a stream. It's a key reason why Holo talents are very open about their health now and will announce hiatus/breaks just to rest up.
That's great. Honesty people need to stop acting like they have the rights to the talents and their actions. They are humans at the end of the day so of course just like any of us they have their own personal lives and problems.
Fubuki gaining everyone's trust by saying she'll leave if the company becomes a black company still amazes me to this day. Like, Hololive will never become Nijisanji, but the IDEA of it is scary. Fubuki was the OG shitposter that brought Western audiences to Hololive, and the fact she sacrificed her own fame in China to protect her friends speaks volumes. That, and she scouted OkaKoro and created Gamers. Like many people, I thought she was uncharacteristically cold when discussing Rushia's termination. Oh, how WRONG we were to think they backstabbed her.
You could tell by how emotional FBK got about Mel's termination that her coldness talking about Rushia was in retrospect real (and not Cover mandated) and (now that we know more) perhaps warranted.
@@hafirenggayuda Pekora and Marine seemed the only ones upset at what happened. Flare and Noel were not crying like them. Considering Gen 3 were the first designed-to-be-close gen and seemed that way till then, it was like a sign they were angry without saying it.

Everyone held their breath after the China thing. It wasn't until Fubuki and Yagoo decided, "F China" that everyone got onboard the boat to find the Mythical treasures of the West.
they are making Coco and Haachama kowtow their way. Yagoo decided to jump ship even it cost all HoloCN gens. guess who is still staying in CN. Btw, Taiwan is good country to collab with and not part of China.
It is so pathetic & cringe that there are so many Chin°zis nowadays who think they are supportive of their country if they deny the Taiwanese people the very idea that those live in another country that is souvereign for itself. 😒 This does not help anybody in either China or Taiwan.
Overall a better move on the long run, the Chinese market is huge but fickle and authorititarianism is its currency. Absolute control is the killer of creative industry and innovation something a lot of company pursue to the detriment of their long term health and pay with it after it is nothing but a shell meant to be a white monkey for the chinese government and its cadre of communist oligarchs
Honestly, Fubuki's actions when Kusogaki and Hag made their mistake was such an absolutely insane save. It's the kind of once in a lifetime save you'll rarely, if ever, see. She turned something from an event that'd cause massive subscriber and reputation loss into a full on memeable event. Fubuki a real one fr fr.
And the memeing of what they did was repeated as well, with towa, and Watame (Watame had horrible internet where she lived so Coco absolutely made fun of that, to the point that Watame produces videos called "Watame did nothing wrong"
I must sleep so before I watch this tomorrow let me say this; Fubuki saying she will leave if Hololive ever pulls some shit is legendary. That alone is worthy of respect
She saying that is enough to convince People Holo is a good company if somehow best girl Yagoo's actions have not already. The fact Fubuki is still happy in Hololive shows how much she loves her Holo Mems, her fellow Holo boys and of course A Chan & Yagoo.
@@gerdanbombales That will be WORSE. Holo would not even be popular, her life would be ruined. Riku is still the CEO and he would ruin her. *Shudders* I don't wanna know what happened in THAT universe..
Like Fubuki is one of the people who saved Hololive. Sora and the 13 OG knights who paved the way for the future talents. Yagoo not giving up and A chan/Nodoka supported him all the way.
Honestly, from seeing their struggle from early Vtuber years, lots of great people join Cover. And not just talent, but hardworker and PR management too.
I watched since 2020 or so... got caught by our beloved Kaichou. But even then people tended to write _" Fubuki is everyones friend "_ occassionally, but a bit too passionately for it to just be a meme. Funny to remember this and now watch this video. Remember she is our friend, not our wife. ^_^
yeah not taking away what fubuki has done but what DN said in the end i disagree with it, those words are more fitting for sora. if sora decided to quit back then there would be no hololive, which means no fubuki.
During Fubuki's 5th Fes solo song part, she sang her original song 'Letter'. There was a part where she asked the audience to shout out their Oshi's name, instead of her own name. Miko (iirc) during her talk stream later mentioned about how great it was that Fubuki did this because solo parts are usually all about that solo performer. Fubuki instead encouraged the audience to show love for other holomem. This further solidifies the idea that Fubuki is indeed the number one fan of holomem. (remember that mount tirade about how close she is to other holomem vs hololisteners? lol)
Yes, Fubuki often promotes other members' recent event and upcoming streams at the end of her stream. This is before RUclips even implements stream direct (raid) feature. Not many members do that, and it just shows how much she cares about the community of hololive. She's so sweet ; - ;
There is one more thing I wanna add. Without Sora & Fubuki there would be no Hololive. Without Hololive Yagoo wouldn't be able to have his Idol dream. FuwaMoco wouldn't exist we wouldn't get Bau Bau. Many Hololive members lifes would be way different. Don't take your Oshis for grant. Treasure all the times & memories together. Cause you never know..when it will be their last.
Also without coco the kusa dragon , hololive will be stuck at a normal weeb fans (japan region lock logic) that why meme is the key why hololive become popular and thanks for disease covid 19 😅
There's a reason Fubuki is the "pillar" of Hololive (along with Sora, but in a different way). Gamers wouldn't exist without her (so no Korone, Okayu or Mio), and she did more than anyone else with her meme-able self to position HL during the pandemic to the forefront of the YT algorithm. She's also the face and MC for Hololive for so much over the years, publicly in Japan, but also privately as well (she's the first person among the talents to talk about Rushia's dismissal when it happened and led Gen 1 after what happened with Mel - her VERY different reaction to each told a story about what the talents felt I think). It's hard to underestimate how important she is to the company - I wouldn't be surprised if she graduated as a vtuber it would be to take up a corporate position within Cover.
@@TheBeastInBlack She had a stream right after it was announced and basically repeated Cover's statement and was pretty cold about the whole thing. Very little emotion in her voice, very un-Fubuki like, and got a lot of criticism considering how close many fans thoughts the HL members were.
@@J_Benn At the time of her dismissal Rushia had been married 3 months, and she divorced mafumafu at six months. There is no doubt in my mind that while not on streamshe would casually bad mouth Mafu Mafu, undoubedly he did something similar. Neither are victims both are involved. I still consider her a psycho and a manipulator as well. I don't doubt that for the most part she wasn't well liked amongst some of the Holopros
Fubuki gave Holofans a powerful thing. She gave us trust. Because of Fubuki and her assurances, and her previous actions in making sacrifices to uphold her principles, it is easy to trust Cover with the benefit of doubt when a situation looks bad. Maybe there is some naivety in that, but it's pretty invaluable for keeping our community in one piece.
@@signumxmagnum Fubuki (and Hololive) were fortunate that they're backed up by a CEO who, in some way, shares that naivety, willing to give up by far their most successful market up to preserve the well-being of their talents. Millie, unfortunately, did not get this luxury.
@@jack90054 I think naivety is not really matters here, but there's something more deep and sinister, that forced them to just leave instead of staying on that market.
I absulutly agree. I loved niji but after that fucking shitshow i just cant watch any of there current vtubers couse i just can not trust any of them anymore and i hate it so much, i just want to know who of them are good people.
Fubuki is like a football captain, she had her legendary moments that everybody could see, she pulled the company out of bad spots, but most of the work was from the inside, the foundation that we from the outside will never get to see, but that is so vitally important to success of a team or company! Even when she was not spectacular to the outside viewer, to the careful observer she was still holding together the team on the field, not through spectacular actions, but by leading as an example, pulling the rest along, even when times got hard. She is the pillar that will always be there for people to pull themselves back up after something bad happened or whenever they need support. She is no longer the highest peak or the roof, but will always stay the central pillar, without her the whole thing could collapse.
Something that is less talked about if at all, was Fubuki's active promotion of other members. One has to remember that Fubuki was the most subbed channel until around roughly 900k subs (roughly around EN began their debut) and that was by quite a large margin relative to that time. Not only that, she also had the largest number of followers on Twitter as well. Using that, she used to promote others' streams (especially on Twitter) about as much or more than even the main Hololive account did. She every much encouraged people to check others' streams. This promotion of course, also extended to Holostars as well. The stream has been privated / removed, but back when both Hololive and Holostars did a voice pack merch sale, Fubuki did a listen-along react stream of all the then Stars voice pack merch. This was repaid by Oga doing a listen-along react stream of Fubuki's voice pack while collabing with Fubuki (much to Fubuki's dismay of having to listen to her own voice pack lol).
Yea Fubuki actively promote other members' recent events and upcoming streams a lot, not only on Twitter but also at the end of her stream as well. At the time RUclips's redirect feature is not even out, let alone management utilizing it. Not many members do that even now. She took her responsibility seriously and uses her popularity for the others, such a sweet fox. She is no doubt the pillar of hololive, this is just a fact that most if not all of us has to agree on.
I have this Fox to thank for my descent and permanent residency in this rabbithole. It wasn't for any special reason either, I merely just stumbled upon a cute white haired fox girl who debuted just a month ago, tuned into one of her streams, and instantly vibed with her friendly energy ^^ Fubuki is truly deserving of being one of Hololive's 3 great pillars (Sora & Coco). Its no exaggeration to say that Hololive would not be where it is today without her efforts, dedication, and passion.
What I can say about Nepotism is this phrase; "If it failed, then it is /classic/ nepotism. If it succeeded, then it is a legacy. If it is sufficient though... it is an old hat on a new kid."
@@signumxmagnum yaps thats what i said. nepo is good if the one you recruit are good as hell. but if no skill only talk than its bad. same with other anything if you join coz of connection as long as the one who join are good than there is nothing wrong.
I think of it as, Fubuki as a close friend likely saw the POTENTIALS in Okayu & Korone, especially them both together. Korone hadn't bloomed back then for sure, but Fubuki likely has seen what kind of crazy antics & skills they she could do if she's further polished, especially with Okayu's mutual support. Moreover, I don't find myself as bothered by early Holo nepo hires because well, it was the early days. Holo was in the fresh unexplored blue sea of vtubing, where they're against Niji the giant. Holo made do with what they had as they grow, like how they had to stumble around before figuring out how to produce a likely tighter generational bond.
For those upset at FuwaMoco over them not speaking English much recently..they struggled in their past and so did the first generations of Hololive. They are taking for granted of FuwaMoco. Some of you entitled Ruffians WAKE UP. Don't destroy the very thing you sworn to protect. Should they graduate again it will be none but your minority ruffians fault. I didn't want to make it personal but this message needed to be said. Without Fubuki/Sora FuwaMoco wouldn't exist! They also for several months straight did EN content with ZERO breaks! Stop feeling so entitled! You should encourage them and learn Japanese yourself! Don't be like Ollie's ID chat and don't be so clingy to FuwaMoco! They protected your smiles now you should not pay them back with just money but their smiles to!
Fubuki, I never knew. She is so awesome! So that's why people treat her like a pillar of Hololive. She's truly is a part of Hololive. No, she's one of the talents that is Hololive. Fubuki is definitely the trust of Hololive
i love it when people 'see' this kind thing.nowdays we've been fed with abundance of good content with every new gen filled with monstrous talent (im not complaining, give me more XD) then there is 'impactful' member like imo fubuki/coco/calli/suisei/laplus/kobo etc that can give shape to hololive or even the vtuber scene in general
Fubuki is sort of the protagonist of hololive. The big sister. As long as she’s there you know it’s going to be ok. Whenever there is a big event she is the MC. When there is a scandal she is there to twist it into a positive thing. Good burger fox cat
I've always thought of Fubuki as a foundation of Hololive. She wasn't the first member, she doesn't have the most subscribers, but her personality shines brighter than most. There 2 moments that really made her the most influential figure for me. First was the waiting for Shion and Marine stream. She brought fun and happiness to those who were frustrated and waiting and almost eliminated any backlash. The second was after Coco's graduation announcement. It's something I will remember forever. Coco's announcement broke me, and many others. But about 15 minutes after it, Fubuki started streaming like nothing happened. Some people might see her streaming so soon after as apathetic or insulting, but for me, it really lessened the shock and pain of Coco's graduation. Fubuki will always be one of the most important figures, not just in Hololive, but in VTubing as a whole.
That a really good one Fubuki as we known, is one of the most important figure in vtuber world, 1 of the very 1st vtuber that connect the world at that and 1 of the strongest vtuber to dated as seen from everything she had to face until. Now and still going strong Nice to see that even tho people talk about her achievement a lot less but her popularity only increase over time
Fubuki has always been one of my oshi, and this video explains it pretty well (other than the obvious things like her meme queenness and vibe). She was pretty much already the biggest vtuber in Hololive when I found her, but what cemented her place as one of the pillars of Hololive to me was when she said that she would leave Hololive if she felt like they were going down a bad route. I feel like it was one of those moments where you had to be there to feel the full weight of her words back then. I remember that the tensions were rising with all the spam, the community was dividing, times were uncertain, and I would go into streams expecting people to be fighting over who was an anti in disguise. A lot of people would talk about leaving the Hololive fan base because of how tiring it was, and though it didn't fix everything, Fubuki then made her comment. Maybe it was just me, but up until that point, it felt like the whole community was starting to suffocate, and Fubuki's words were the release that people needed. People would still argue (though less often), but now, there would also be people who would hop into arguments and hit them with the, "Even if you don't trust Hololive, surely you trust Fubuki?" and the argument would pause, either out of confusion or trust in Fubuki. In short, I like Fubuki. Fubuki Hololive friend pillar.
I dont know about HL history at all, but when I see Fubuki I can feel the Majestic aura on her, it reminds me of the White Beard in One Piece. Even when she "died" in China, she "died" standing up, like White Beard did.
Another example of Fubuki watching out for her kouhais is during the 'race' to 1mil subscribers some 4 years ago. At that point it was between Fubuki and Korone and some in the fanbase were taking it a bit too far. When Gura came and blitz the both of them, there was discontent among those fans. To diffuse the situation, Fubuki started a drawing stream and drew a congratulatory gift for Gura on her 1mil sub. It was wholesome and showed the fanbase Hololive wasn't a place of competition but of support for each other.
Fubuki take the role of the "glue" that kept Hololive running in the early years... ... in my eyes, even if there are many talents that had influence in the activity of the company or created some of the historic moments, I see Fubuki as the "prototype" of the concept of "the Hololive Vtuber" in the whole.
Fubuki is known to be among the most professional acting holomem during real life disasters. The most recent example being the New Year stream where a 7+ magnitude earthquake happened midstream and she immediately went into broadcaster mode to relay information and prioritize one's own safety. I know other Holomem do so as well but iirc it was Fubuki who started it years ago. Perhaps they all have gotten training on how to act in those situations since then.
Because of Sora and Roboco I was able to get information on Fubuki’s debut. I watched her from the beginning and she has had her struggles for sure. In member chat she talked us through some of her stress. She is literally a person that taught many of the first gen. about streaming and was there for phone calls and even showing up at streamer’s houses. When she found Okayu and Korone they met at an Arcade. Yes she used friends but I think she was smart for picking the people she picked because she was familiar with them and was able to go to their homes and help with PC issues or OBS issues. She also was a big part of getting them together for collabs and even helping to MC hololive skits. I still love Fubu-chan and I will watch her till she decides to stop if she ever does.
The thing that I'll always be thankful to Fubuki for is bringing Korone into Hololive because without Korone I don't know if I would have fallen all the way down the Hololive and Vtuber rabbit hole. Gura was the initial push for me but I'm pretty sure that the first JP Hololive member that I remember seeing anything about was Korone and it was a legendary clip with Korone and Calli playing a certain bomb defusal game and it STILL makes me laugh every single time I see it.
To reproduce a phenomena one must comprehend all factors involved. From what I have seen & heard, few could manage to copy Hololive, and certainly not Nijisanji - their personal character & philosophies are too different.
Thank you, DN, for your service to the internet. Spotlighting the under-appreciated and reminding all of critical moments of history is ironically an under appreciated task itself. As loved as many of the first Vtubers are, many newer fans simply haven't come across what all the older fans never need speak of among themselves. May you be blessed, both for yourself, and so you can continue to be a blessing to others.
The strange thing about Fubuki is that though she did a lot of behind the scene stuff, she never took the chance to be a manager. She just want to stream and do what she liked, often giving her role to someone else and retreats to her own hole with her fans. My personal pet peeve is that she can lose focus really quickly. It's also a legend that she replaces her equipment at a very late stage. We saw her controller and computer broke for 2 weeks straight on stream, pretty insane. But yes, she's thrives on challanges and really hardworking fox.
What an epic video mate! Especially on our Friend-Fox. Now, I see a lot of new HoloFans may not be completely aware of the Coco-CN drama and the ensuing battle and how serious it got, so I'll put it into context. This is both for the Young-uns who probably weren't around back then to know the true horrors of the fight, as well as the Old-Veterans who'll probably end up triggering their PTSD. SO BE WARNED: the following post will be LONG and is NOT to be taken as gospel, its just what I can remember and gather from a time that most fans have tried to forget. 1. Brief summary of what happened. Akai Haato aka Haachama was checking her Google/RUclips (?) Analytics and happened to mention that a certain section of her viewer base was from Taiwan. She just so happened to make the teeny tiny 'mistake' of adding the word 'country' before it. A few days later, Kiryu Coco aka Kaichou ended up following the same pattern in a different stream. 2. Who were affected? Haachama, who was among the youngest in Hololive at the time along with Natsuiro Matsuri (both requiring parental permission to join Hololive since they were underage, but not by a lot. Mostly late high school). Kaichou, an up-and-coming Hololive talent who was often credited for introducing Hololive to the Western market and serving as a bridge between two completely different fan-bases. 3. Why did the incident get so big? Chinese sentiment regarding Japan, especially mainland China, has always remained lukewarm at best. Of course, its been a long while since the end of WW2, but slight embers of outrage still remain in places like China and Korea. Problem is, China always had a section of internet users who were, to put it mildly, adept at fanning nationalistic and jingoistic sentiment. This internet water army stirred up the feelings of the 'Little Pinks', the Chinese internet users who had to 'defend' the sovereignty of the Motherland from the anime girls (sigh) and turned the whole issue from a simple molehill into a Death-Star type mountain. Unfortunately for Hololive fans, this overblown controversy would actually turn out to claim a victim in the end. 3. Why was there a problem with Bilibili specifically? Bilibili has always been the gateway to most Chinese audiences. Not all, but most traffic geared towards the massive Chinese market and its related industries finds its way through Bilibili. Hololive was no exception, with not only its JP talents having accounts (Shirakami Fubuki having a HUGE presence there on her account), but more importantly there were Hololive talents from the chinese branch: Hololive CN. I won't get into more details regarding them, since every HoloHistorian and their grandmothers have a video out on 'Ze Traitorz' and you can go check them out. The main problem with Bilibili that most audiences have trouble wrapping their heads around is that it DOES NOT operate the same way as RUclips or any other 'free country' streaming company does. Being a Shanghai-based company (at least at the time), to the 'Little Pinks' they needed to follow the rules and regulations of the country, both the written and unwritten ones. So when Cover posted their new announcement on Bilibili regarding the action taken on the talents (3 weeks suspension each), the Chinese fans were furious that Cover did not: a. graduate Coco; b. Send out a clear apology to the Chinese fanbase; c. Make clear their political stance regarding China-Taiwan (wtf bro). And boy did the mad Chinese fans do their best to get Hololive talents kicked out of the platform with discrete help from even within it. (Again, too many videos about the harassment online, just search for it). 4. Does this mean all of Bilibili's base deserves to be cut off from Hololive? Hell-to-the-frickin'-no. In fact, in a way, it was a section of the Chinese fanbase who actually helped the most during the extremely trying times. Under the unceasing and relentless spamming during livestreams and the innumerable doxxing attempts, a few Chinese fans stood out helping to stem the flow and in translating and scouting sites dedicated to target Hololive talents. These were a massive help to Western fans who were almost swamped with the sheer wall of messages getting thrown at them and couldn't differentiate between Chinese and Japanese. It would also be amiss not to mention an important point that many wannabe HoloHistorians, such as yours truly, found out in hindsight. At the beginning of this so-called 'War against the Slander of the Motherland', most overseas audiences (particularly Western) were oblivious to the massive shitstorm headed towards Hololive's way. They just regarded it as a small miscommunication, something that will be solved with 'the power of friendship and trust'. The Japanese fanbase had always been leery of the Chinese and did warn not to trust them blindly, but most overseas fans just wanted to sit around, talk things out and end up singing kumbaya together. Welp, things took a drastic turn when the suspension period ended and the talents came back to a literal tsunami of hate and slurs. Particularly hurt was Kiryu Coco, who most believed to be a more culpable criminal since: a. Haachama was the first, so could be considered an accident. The second time HAD to be intentional and Cover Corp HAD to make an example out of its talent by graduating her. b. She was a western talent, particularly from the US of A. She must have done it on purpose. And it was in the middle of this extreme cocked-up situation, that the Chinese fans stood up and took the lead. Hundreds of Chinese, particularly from Taipei and Hong Kong, held the line at the front while the others cried themselves hoarse on overseas posting sites and boards warning them that the attacks were just starting and spread out their tactics and targets, all neatly translated. The Indonesians were the first to notice these 'friendly Chinese', and once they confirmed the authenticity, got the Filipinos involved. Who promptly went 'Putang Ina Mo' and basically turned SEA into the Chinese-antis nuclear wasteland, considering by this time their darling Fubuki had been targeted and the Filipinos were having none of that. Anyone but the friend-not-waifu-fox. The Western fans came around eventually, but if it weren't for the few Chinese lads feverishly helping out in the stream moderating comments, as well as those on reddit calling attention to potential doxxers, it would have been a much MUCH harder fight in the long run.
Well stated, though one quibble, its often been said that it was Haachama and Shion who were the youngest in Hololive (both being hired before the 18 year old age requirement). Matsuri (under her other name which is easy to find) was an underground idol before joining HL so she probably was over 18 irl.
@@J_Benn Yeah, that's true. Sorry mate, its been a while since I've had to think so far back so I forgot about Shion. Thanks for the correction. As for Matsuri, I do remember her saying once that she needed parental permission for a Hololive event/collab/something(?) as at that time she was still a minor in high school (wasn't specified whether junior or senior). Of course, now she's definitely over 18 and has even had her mom on stream once (under her other name account).
It was indeed a shit storm at that time and we really did all we can to try to stop those antis from their doxxing attempt's, and as those guys were sensitive from the word Taiwan is a country. It was a battle we went through together and even though we lost kaichou we can still smile fondly remembering those days. And we would always band together when doxxers come for our friend!
I still remember one guy on FB that was cn-antis beefing with ID Hololive fans. Safe to say they leaked the dude's location in coordinate, bank account information, ID, and obviously death threat on both offline and irl. Is it bad? Yes. Do not mess with SEA bros online especially ID. The sheer violence is insanely high
I always thought she must have come from a PR background because her ability to promote is top-notch. She always reached out and collabed with everyone, including the guys, and constantly retweeted promos and stream announcements. She's a great MC that doesn't miss a beat. A+ entertainer.
Fubuki is the one that got me to hololive, I stumbled to her original shitposts as it is being uploaded to the internet (sad that those got taken to the void, anyone know any reuploads of those?). I still remember her actually streaming mining at minecraft for over an hour, shit was crazy funny and a very iconic moments of our fox friends, that really solidified fubuki as one of my oshis, and as long there is Fubuki I will always trust Hololive.
dayuuummmm... HoloGTA event was the first time watching ANY vtuber content and she naturally gave out that "super reliable&dependable person" vibes but had no idea just what a backbone Fubuki is to the org. Newfound respect for hololive idols.
if i remember she said in one of planing stream around new year can't remember with stream. but she said as long as nothing bad happen to her and hololive. she'll spend her time here in hololive for another 5 year unless something really bad happen. if she keep her word and still here for another 5 year. so me too ready and would still watching this White Friends fox for another 5 year until last day
I got into Hololive just before EN and a lot of the 2020 experiences were rough. Everyone losing tons of vids forever due to copyright Aloe decided to graduate and then Coco/Haachama being attacked. The second Burger loving Alien/Cat/Fox said things were going to be alright and she would stick with Hololive as long as it was a good company I knew things would be fine. Just because things are much more crowded now and numbers bigger than ever doesnt mean Fubuki is any less important to Hololive. While Sora is Dai-Senpai Pekora gets the craziest CCV and Gura has all the subs I still look to Fubuki as the supreme arbiter of Hololive still being a good place and always will
@@blackmage665Damn bro chill, it is about Fubuki but he just said the truth so no problem with that. Btw lets not start an argument please (im not good with english)
@@FBK_Friend I don't like the dogshitling people do to quietly downplay peoples role in something. They aren't wrong and I am not saying that. But don't try to diminish what FBK did by saying that others have done things too, and thus she is not special in her own way.
Fubuki brought so many people into the rabbit hole. Especially her Scatman clip which is still a banger! I haven’t watched her a lot in the last couple years, but she will always have a special place. Friend, friend; not waifu lol
I found Fubuki after getting into the rabbit hole, but was drawn to her thanks to her love for memes. I watched (and still watch) her streams whenever I can. The moment I realised she is my favorite JP member was during her Shiny only Pokemon playthrough, that birthed the "Akai nai" meme. After unlocking the underground, she invited all her viewers to help her catch more shiny pokemon. And I joined in for some of those sessions, enjoying my first feeling of truly being involved in the community. For that I will always treasure that memory with gratitude for Fubuki. She deserves everything good and so much more.
Fubuki got me into this rabbit hole, and she'll be the one to decide when it's time i take my leave. She may not exactly be my (kami)oshi, but she has my highest respect among all the other talents. I trust fubuki.
Sora is the start, Fubuki is the meme queen, Aqua is the cutest, Subaru is the sun, most adorable Korone, blessed laughter of Mio-mama, Menhera Rushia, Funny Pekora, Horny Marine..!! Anyway, each talent is the "menace" of their own but Hololive finally found stability since the birth of the 3rd generation. These talents that done nothing but "destroying" Yagoo's dream is instead the ones who made Hololive popular all over the world (or rather, the clippers that clipped their absurdities and share it to everyone 😁👍). I myself got dragged by Korone but end up fallen in love for Mio !
When addressing Rushia's termination, Fubuki in fact, did not give her the cold shoulder. This was an initial narrative by antis to portray her as insensitive, but later was placed justification by the masses when the mafu2 situation came to light. In her Holofest watchalong not long after the termination, Fubuki actually showed distress about Rushia not being on stage to perform together with everyone. Whether that was her own desire or her empathizing with Rushia's fans, we will never know for sure.
God i miss her old avatar! Her new one is cute and well animated for sure but i feel something was lost with the change. A warm wholesome cuteness that is not there anymore
8:19 There's an enternally ongoing debate in management world of Networking vs Nepotism, where one ends and the other's begin, it is a grey area to be fair
It is indeed complicated, because despite all the well-known excesses of nepotism and all the incompetent fools brought to undeserved glory simply because of their surname... it's also true that there are situations where you don't necessarily need "the best" at a certain skillset, but rather you need someone who is good enough to get the job done, or maybe even in need of some training before they can get the job done, but whom you can 100% trust. And a good way to gauge that trust, is through recommendation by somebody whom you already trust. This becomes more pronounced the smaller the context is (i.e., when you don't have the resources to attract and interview tons of people, and when even a small mistake can turn catastrophic). I've seen that happen in music. You can hire the best possible musician in the band, but if that person is a raging cunt he can destroy a band in no time.
Fubuki is known to be a short-sleeper. Holomem have questioned how she manages to get so many things done including 24/7 activities on Twitter (now X). This has given rise to jokes by Holomem such as that there are actually 4 Fubuki's or that she is actually a Robot.
Pillars of Hololive : - Sora (the starter) - Fubuki (savior, meme queen) - Coco (bridge between en jp) - Suisei (diva) - Aqua (pon) - Korone (was no 1 subscribed member competing with fbk when gura debut) - Pekora (everyone know her) - Marine (everyone know her) - Rushia (contribute in the early era) - Kobo (ID queen/ID gura) - Gura (EN icon) - Calli (rap) - Fuwamoco (first twin) These are the members that have made huge contribution to the hololive company and there will be an huge impact if one of them graduate.
Fubuki has good design sense as seen by the numerous characters and mascots she has created for her own fanbase as well as other Holomem, such as Haachama's Haaton, Ayame's Poyoyo, and Mio's Hatotaurus. More recently, she is credited as being Chichiro Botan's mama in her April Fool's stream.
Akai Haato screaming was the initial clip that drew me into hololive and vtubing, but it was fubuki's streaming in silence into the void with her self made bgm clip that was what hooked me in time for the sinker of holomyth debut to keep me in this space.
The fact that she helped to recruit Mio, and Mio was responsible for a lot of members staying. According to Miko, in the early days when Hololive was not doing well, some of them were thinking about quitting, but Mio convinced them to stay, and that one day Hololive will be huge, and she was right.
I think my introduction to Fubuki was an extensive clip that covered most of her silent stream where she dug a large hole down to bedrock in Minecraft... The best way I can describe it as is "an experience". To this day I have no idea how I sat through the whole thing, but I did. It was weirdly mesmerizing how she spun deeper and deeper into insanity the deeper the hole got. With BGM shenanigans, model assets, positioning, color filters, and much more... And she sat through all of it with a straight face.
For those Fubuki enjoyers among us, I'd like to point out that the hologra 5th Anniversary Celebration pack in the shop right now has a cute Fubuzilla plush.
the best friend, and my most respected member of Hololive, may have missed her early early days, but i still fondly remmber when gamers formed and how she became a meme fox i know i will never forget her, when she is one of the few vtubers that but me into the rabbit hole
Fubuki seems to always be that happy, positive fox for the fans. However, she once said that "I also have emotions and face difficulties, but don't worry because I'll lash it all out onto my manager, that is what they're here for. I won't bring it to the stream, I like fans to always see me positive and share happiness." (something along these lines) She's just so sweet ; - ;
correct me if im wrong, but I remember that Fubuki not only saved hololive, I would say she singlehandedly had the most influence on vtubing then any other vtubers in the world. While azur lane definitely helped hololive become more popular, that alone didn't bring in as many foreign viewers. However, it did help fubuki gain enough attention to explode as a meme and spread to western audiences. She brought millions of foreigner viewers into japanese vtubing and thousands of subscribers to her channel. Those viewers then spread into other vtubers such as aqua, marine, matsuri, etc... Revitalizing vtubing in japan, where viewers were mainly japanese and the vtubers and vtubing culture were pretty stagnant. It's not an exaggeration to say that the massive success jp vtubers had with overseas viewers was because of Fubuki. She was patient zero to the vtuber craze, without Fubuki, not only would hololive not have been as popular, but without the oversea veiwers she brought in, there would have been no hololive myth. And with no hololive myth, its pretty easy to see that vtubers wouldn't have existed as much globally.
17:30, for real though. It took until 3rd Fes. finally happening during a watch along for Fubuki to break and reveal how upset she was she couldn't perform on the same stage as Rushia.
Fubuki is not just a friend. She is the one that will always COVER your back. The one that will pull you out from danger. The one that will come like a BLIZZARD to protect you. The one that you can believe in. The one that will pop out like a HOLOgram just to tell you everything is fine. The one that will always LIVE by your side. An ideal partner. A perfect ally. THE FRIEND.
It was clips of Miko and Pekora that initially brought Hololive (and vtubers in general) to my attention, but it was Fubuki that dragged me kicking and screaming into the rabbit hole. It's impossible to watch a single clip of her without thinking "she was *born* for this".
What is the more remarkable is that, when Hololive experimented with the "generations" concept, it was still a small potato: Mel and Chris were hired first, but they still had to advertise for talents for the other four while showing their avatars. (By the way, this carried on even at the start of Gen2 when they had to do the same when desperately seeking Aqua.) It was fortunate for her soul to find her form - paraphrasing what she once said - and Fubuki became much much more than what she was expected to be; like an epic story when a community was looking for a hero, a commoner stepped out and became a hero far greater than one could hope for - and best friend to all too.
When all the Coco stuff was happening I remember that a lot of the comments were saying "if Fubuki goes then hololive is finished, she is still there so everything is ok"... She is the canary in hololive's mine
I completely forgot that she used to be Gamers' ORIGINAL MANAGER before everyone later had their own seperate managers. This is one thing Niji tried to do with Elira and failed, managing a branch.
in a way fukuki was the logistic guy and the moral compas of the company for a long time, she was the perfect example for not only talents to follow if not staff members too.
For any corrections, additions, and any sorts of addendums you may want to add, please leave them in this comment thread.
Thanks friend Fubuki 😢

Now, whenever a member is late for a stream, rather than causing backlash, fans now countdown to how long they will be late and update the "Hololive overslept leaderboards." (Edit: current record holder is Choco-sen last October at 5hr 24min)
Also, it resulted in more fans being concerned about the Vtuber's health/sleeping schedules, rather than complaining that they are late to a stream.

Yeah. I guess while Marine (who was crying) still feel sympathy for Rushia, Fubuki (and Flare) really angry at Ru back then.
@@hafirenggayuda Pekora and Marine seemed the only ones upset at what happened. Flare and Noel were not crying like them. Considering Gen 3 were the first designed-to-be-close gen and seemed that way till then, it was like a sign they were angry without saying it.

I must sleep so before I watch this tomorrow let me say this;
Fubuki saying she will leave if Hololive ever pulls some shit is legendary.
Bruh what if Fubuki is on Niji?
The Yacht wouldnt even be built 🤣.
The time fubuki decided to quit herself, We know at that moment hololive goes to wrong direction. ☠️
@@gerdanbombales That will be WORSE. Holo would not even be popular, her life would be ruined. Riku is still the CEO and he would ruin her. *Shudders* I don't wanna know what happened in THAT universe..
Because of this, whenever something bad happens in Hololive, the first instinct is to pause and wait for Fubuki's reaction.

(remember that mount tirade about how close she is to other holomem vs hololisteners? lol)
Yes, Fubuki often promotes other members' recent event and upcoming streams at the end of her stream. This is before RUclips even implements stream direct (raid) feature. Not many members do that, and it just shows how much she cares about the community of hololive.
She's so sweet ; - ;

What was her reaction to the Rushia situation? I wasnt in the rabbit hole back then but i hear they were cold towards her back then.
@@TheBeastInBlack She had a stream right after it was announced and basically repeated Cover's statement and was pretty cold about the whole thing. Very little emotion in her voice, very un-Fubuki like, and got a lot of criticism considering how close many fans thoughts the HL members were.

I still consider her a psycho and a manipulator as well.
I don't doubt that for the most part she wasn't well liked amongst some of the Holopros
I see Fubuki as the moral compass of Hololive. I can feel confident in supporting them when I know Fox Friend has the talent's and our backs.
Millie tried to do that and she got the shame of her lifetime becoming a joke.
She's the Puyol of Hololive
I can feel her embarrassment lol
Yea Fubuki actively promote other members' recent events and upcoming streams a lot, not only on Twitter but also at the end of her stream as well. At the time RUclips's redirect feature is not even out, let alone management utilizing it. Not many members do that even now. She took her responsibility seriously and uses her popularity for the others, such a sweet fox. She is no doubt the pillar of hololive, this is just a fact that most if not all of us has to agree on.
Fubuki's contributions to Hololive, even saving Hololive will always stay in our hearts and as history in the Vtubing world
I have this Fox to thank for my descent and permanent residency in this rabbithole. It wasn't for any special reason either, I merely just stumbled upon a cute white haired fox girl who debuted just a month ago, tuned into one of her streams, and instantly vibed with her friendly energy ^^
Fubuki is truly deserving of being one of Hololive's 3 great pillars (Sora & Coco). Its no exaggeration to say that Hololive would not be where it is today without her efforts, dedication, and passion.

nepotism is not bad as long as the one whose goes in from nepotism are good one. not bad one.. (bring benefit to company)
Yeah nepotism is only bad when the nepo hire gets special treatment when they sink.
@@TAKOssrb nepo is good if they were skilled, it was bad if they were just family.
Fuck that, Both should speak thier native language
Quebecois-french
Fubuki also supported Holo ID and Holo EN and nowadays sent her support to small indies alongside other Holo members
As long as they have fun I don't care what language they speak, even if I can't understand what they are saying the laughter is good
Parasocial cringe spotted
Fubuki, I never knew. She is so awesome! So that's why people treat her like a pillar of Hololive.
She's truly is a part of Hololive. No, she's one of the talents that is Hololive.
Fubuki is definitely the trust of Hololive
i love it when people 'see' this kind thing.nowdays we've been fed with abundance of good content with every new gen filled with monstrous talent (im not complaining, give me more XD)
then there is 'impactful' member like imo fubuki/coco/calli/suisei/laplus/kobo etc that can give shape to hololive or even the vtuber scene in general
Fubuki and her shitposting arc is what brought me to this rabbit hole. Sometimes i wish those days never ended.
I like how you end it with "Fubuki is a friend"
Reminds me of that one Gigachad that pulled a GOTTEM moment against Fubuki with his "My husband" username 🤣🤣
@@zayd4078"Big brain move"
Fubuki will always be one of the most important figures, not just in Hololive, but in VTubing as a whole.
i would say sora is the foundation, fubuki is the pillar
That a really good one
Fubuki as we known, is one of the most important figure in vtuber world, 1 of the very 1st vtuber that connect the world at that and 1 of the strongest vtuber to dated as seen from everything she had to face until. Now and still going strong
Nice to see that even tho people talk about her achievement a lot less but her popularity only increase over time
Fubuki was among the first that got me into hololive, she will always be our beloved and respected friend
Standing up with no injuries on the back I might add.
@@thegemguy1334 Yeah, and she welcomes the injuries from the front, like when Zoro let Mihawk slash him from the front.
It was wholesome and showed the fanbase Hololive wasn't a place of competition but of support for each other.
fubuki really is the bestest friend ever.
Oh yeah, all the gen 0 reach 1 mill sub lately, you should tell their story, i think it will be a good way to comemorate their achievment

@@Commodor221 Aki is Gen 1, not Gen 0.
15:44 Years later, I still remember these words Fubuki said and I still believe in them like the first day, it is nothing short of an oath to me.
Waiting for a good video and what we got was a truly great video. Thank you for the video DN
For me, fubu-chan is not only a pillar of hololive, but she is a pillar of vtubers
This is what Kurosanji and Elira tried to become or at least tried to do but failed miserably 💀💀💀

Fubuki and Aki Rosenthal brought me into the rabbit hole.....its been a great ride so far. Thanks for this Nousagi, well done.

I always thought she must have come from a PR background because her ability to promote is top-notch. She always reached out and collabed with everyone, including the guys, and constantly retweeted promos and stream announcements. She's a great MC that doesn't miss a beat. A+ entertainer.

Fubuki is really something. I think I remember her talking about those beginnings during HoloTalk.
Rushia sucks, and so is her unhinged fanbase for attacking Fubuki just for doing the right thing.

That was emotional! I gained more respect for Fubuki now!
Fubuki is known to be a short-sleeper. Holomem have questioned how she manages to get so many things done including 24/7 activities on Twitter (now X). This has given rise to jokes by Holomem such as that there are actually 4 Fubuki's or that she is actually a Robot.
In Fubuki We Trust.
Pillars of Hololive :
- Sora (the starter)
- Fubuki (savior, meme queen)
- Coco (bridge between en jp)
- Suisei (diva)
- Aqua (pon)
- Korone (was no 1 subscribed member competing with fbk when gura debut)
- Pekora (everyone know her)
- Marine (everyone know her)
- Rushia (contribute in the early era)
- Kobo (ID queen/ID gura)
- Gura (EN icon)
- Calli (rap)
- Fuwamoco (first twin)
These are the members that have made huge contribution to the hololive company and there will be an huge impact if one of them graduate.
I would like to add
- haachama (multi personality disorder)
- botan (russia’s favorite & well known fps vtuber)
Fubuki has good design sense as seen by the numerous characters and mascots she has created for her own fanbase as well as other Holomem, such as Haachama's Haaton, Ayame's Poyoyo, and Mio's Hatotaurus. More recently, she is credited as being Chichiro Botan's mama in her April Fool's stream.
Nepotism is great to get people who will do great things in, it's bad when it's the opposite.
Ending it with "Fubuki is a friend" was freaking beautiful. It was really touching, but I was also giggling like a fool.
Fubuki is older sister discipline but fun matter types. That all from me for now. She also worth title Pillar of Hololive. SHE HAS OWN A SWORD!!
Remember, as long as Friend is still in Hololive, you can trust Cover

Fubuki seems to always be that happy, positive fox for the fans. However, she once said that "I also have emotions and face difficulties, but don't worry because I'll lash it all out onto my manager, that is what they're here for. I won't bring it to the stream, I like fans to always see me positive and share happiness." (something along these lines)
She's just so sweet ; - ;
basically fubu-chan is like a god to everyone in hololive
oh my god that ending made me cry 😭😭😭
long live Friend ❤❤
correct me if im wrong, but I remember that Fubuki not only saved hololive, I would say she singlehandedly had the most influence on vtubing then any other vtubers in the world.
WTF? 12:51 YAGOO has a t-shirt that LITERALLY says GOD. How the f did i miss this all these years????
17:30, for real though. It took until 3rd Fes. finally happening during a watch along for Fubuki to break and reveal how upset she was she couldn't perform on the same stage as Rushia.

Who else is hyped to go to the Gamers event this month?
our precious Friend.
The Azur lane collab is what introduced to to holo, takes me back...
If Sora is the heart of Hololive, Fubuki is the blood.
in a way fukuki was the logistic guy and the moral compas of the company for a long time, she was the perfect example for not only talents to follow if not staff members too.
