Liza always kept that Sally Bowles look. Wow. Sounds so much like her mother and has the same mannerisms. Joel is still the adorable wiry little scamp. Marisa has had her face stretched. I remember taking the bus Downtown several times to see "Cabaret." I loved Emcee so much!
Wow. Seriously all people can comment on are the casts appearances? Firstly Michael York has taken care of himself all his life and been a naturopath. He has survived the cruel disease that is amyloidosis. I'm sure they're all just grateful to be alive today. Not everybody is going to look 25 forever.
What can I say? Fundamental step in movie history. Amazing performances, great music, great story... IIf the scale of my admiration is set from 0 to 10, I would give this film 100!
I Love You, Liza Mae Minnelli! You made my night back in the mid 1980's when I saw you at Harrah's in Lake Tahoe! You caught me staring at you and you wink and smiled at me. What a treasured memory! Here is a wink and a smile of Love for you, Liza! ;-) Love you Dear Liza!
I have always LOVED Michael York! He didn't get a word in! I'm so sorry to hear he has amyloidosis. That is an awful disease. They have all aged though...40 years are not kind.
It wouldn't have mattered much if Marisa and Michael weren't given microphones at all; they didn't get a word in edgewise!!! Watch how Liza responds (facial gestures) to each sentence of Joel's story about Hagman; she's a pip!
Is Michael York seriously ill? He looks like he is dying; head shaved, bloated. He looked so great in the Austin Powers films only a decade ago-does anyone know what happened? Marisa Bersenon looks great. Joel Grey also looks and sounds wonderful.Happy that Cabaret was restored for bluray DVD release. It's a terrific film and a testament to Bob Fosse's creative genius.
I'm sorry that no one replied at the time, to let Mrlmiller07 know that Michael York was, indeed, seriously ill with amyloidosis. Very few people knew that, and as a consequence many (including me) were extremely shocked by his appearance. He was very brave to appear at high-profile events like this, and I think part of the reason was that he wanted to bring amyloidosis to the attention of the public and spread awareness of the need for research into its causes and to bring about improvements in treatment and, hopefully, cure.
It must be a different makeup that reflects yellow with the colored lights on her face. I guess they didn't do a lighting check. Joel Grey and Robert Osborne look great though, don't they? She sneezed @ 5:42; I don't think she feels too great, poor gal (in addition to her cheek or tooth issue).

The audio sounds fatally!
I can't understand what they say.

I couldn't have said it better.
She did?

Two legendary performances. Cabaret is more relevant now than it was in 1972.
She is amazing. Diva. Greetings from Brazil.

Shouldn't Michael have been sat next to Liza given he was the co star in the film not Joel ?

Joel, you are so nice !!!
yikes, she totally ignored Michael, it was a team effort--but she has a huge ego it appears from this.
Michael York I didn't recognise him.My god he does not look well. I hope he is ok

Someone commented on facebook that Liza had just had some dental surgery, prior to this appearance. I hope that's all it is...
Richard Hatch yeah right !!!!
Paul Simpson actually, she really did.
You are Beautiful and always will be! ;-)
There is something about Liza's mouth. Maybe too much collagen? But so what she looks beautiful. Liza we love you.
Viale del tramonto!
What happened to Michael York? He must have gotten ill or something. Would never been able to recognize him.
Cancer for years.
