the cool thing about him is that he's not even that strong. he has a shortsword that deals 1d6 damage, he has a half plate armor which only gives like 17 ac at most, and he seem to not be very good at maneuvers and stuff, and mostly basing his fights on hitting the right spots, so he must be a champion fighter. and still, with great tactics and combat knowledge, he can turn any loss to a win. thats fucking cool.
He has a shield tho, so it can go up to 19. Also if he took medium armour master it can be 20. (Strictly speaking in DnD terms) I know cause I minmaxed a dnd character like that lmao

honestly I saw a build I thought was perfect, 2 levels rouge into 3 hunter ranger into 15 zealot barbarian it gives him all the features he had in the show and for the battle tactics you can get some through a feat.
Whip 1d3 damage, needs a feat to deal damage to anything with an AC. Breastplate, light throwing shield with spikes, 1d4. Class: Fighter, all mental stats under 10. Ultimate battlefield control- threatens everything in all squares within 15' radius, so always flanked. Distance grapple with reposition if they're too far from sneak attackers for some backstabbity. If he's not in the middle of the battlefield, prehensile whip trait lets him latch onto ceiling beams, streetlamps, any fixture and swing there- good for swinging on top of buildings to rush snipers too. Buddies too far away? No problem, can throw shield letting bounce back for a full TWF off-hand attack while whipping them. Something hard-hitting? Grapple it with whip and drag it in for a few shield bashes before finishing with a whip trip flourish. Fighting a dragon? Grapple onto its neck and swing onto its back- they hate that, especially when your buddies attack from different directions. Bought magic mirrored upgrade to shield, loved watching the disintegrate ray bounce back to caster. Helps that our teamwork is a nightmare- had massive bossfights go down in a single round, a long engagement for us is four, unless it's a mob.

@@caldoesstuff7290 no, naofumi is different kind of anger, he have anger against his team mates, not absolute hatred against things that have him traumatized, and even then he only gets strong due to the curse shield, the doom slayer can paralyze demons with his anger and gobbo slayer can produce adrenaline alongside having the will to not die, naofumi ain't got nothing on then
The ogre fight I love but the Goblin Lord fight was my fav because this showing how pesky goblins are they never give up and they won't until they are dead.

Maybe a reskined Samurai, with a few levels in Ranger (Gloom stalker), plus the Dual Wielder and Martial Adept feats, imo.
