That is absolute crap that the person who hurt Gemma only basically got off with no punishment. 100hrs of community service? And that £100 will definitely help with all pain, suffering, loss of work etc that she lost.
I live in Utah and if someone assaults a nurse they will be charged with that. From my understanding that person can be charged the same as if they hurt a police officer.
I had a patient that was angry and he tried to choke me. So glad that my coworker came in after me and helped me before major damage happened. That was before the change in the laws and nothing happened to him. But I was quite affected.
If you assault a paramedic/ems/firefighter you will be charged the same as a nurse and police officer.

What a nice family Clair has! Sad that the kids have to live with that fear😢. I sure hope that man gets a stiff punishment for what he’s done to Clair and her family!!! And in Gemma’s case the woman who caused her harm didn’t get near the sentence she deserved! She definitely should of served time in prison and the compensation should of been Gemma’s wages for the time she was off work instead of the joke of 100 pounds 😮😡

The sentence that Gemma’s abuser got was pitiful. It was also dreadful what happened to Claire. They were just doing their job & got severely injured for it. It’s not right & penalties need to be harsh. Same goes for the hoax calls.

Why is Always a BMW i wonder. People who do this should be sentenced for 15 years, would make a lot more stupid folks to think twice. 14 months for what could be a possoble multiple casualties? Bs
