Margaret & Clifford are incredible for their age, not just physically, but in their wisdom & empathy. I’m so glad they accepted David being gay. That’s pretty extraordinary for religious parents at that time. They’ve been through a lot & I respect them so much. The other couple, where the wife had the DS brother, were amazing too. You just never know what others are going through!
I find in the UK that if you have a problem, such as David’s bad back that he hurt at work, they just don’t employ you anymore so in other words are fired. What they should be doing instead is maybe putting him in another department in the health care system and that could’ve helped him along but losing his job like that over no fault of his own, must’ve been so devastating for him. Sometimes a place could be warm and they have a feeling for their employees and then other places are just so cold. If anything is wrong with you there’s the door go out and never come back and will welcome somebody else in your place not caring what’s happening to you. I thought that was so upsetting.😢
My heart and thoughts go out to Margaret and Clifford. I'm a devout Christian. I always knew my wonderful child was 'different'. Most people thought she was just a tomboy, but strangely I knew she wasn't. When she was 16 she told us she was gay. She didn't have the easiest go of things during her earlier years. Attending a private Christian school (K - 12) had its ups and downs but for the most part, she was supported there. I was her loudest cheerleader and biggest defender. When she turned 30 after much thought and counselling she chose to transgender to a man. It's been a hard 3 years for him, but he's gotten lots of support. As for me, I won't lie it was a bit hard and still is. I SO miss my beautiful daughter. But we will always support him no matter what. I told him I'd take a bullet for him if it came to that no matter what. I'm a fierce mama bear hands down❣
I’ve been watching your show for a couple of years now, and this episode was quite an emotional one. Margaret and Clifford have been through so much… losing two children must’ve been unbearable. I always kind of believed there was an almighty God up there, but when my sister took her life at the age of 41 leaving behind two kids, I became a full on atheist. SHE is my angel now and who I talk to in times of despair. I hope the elderly couple are doing well in the UK❤ Best wishes from Tokyo, Japan🇯🇵
When I heard the gentleman saying he would like to garden; but, no strength, I thought of those who live in apartments and no land. Someone needs to introduce them. Together they could have a wonderful garden.
Does anyone know what the final diagnosis was for the painter, Wayne (swollen wrist)? I was thinking maybe it was from overuse, but maybe not with it being "hot for three days." That sounds like an infection of some sort. He needed the MRI, but they never mentioned him again after he was sent home.
Can relate to Clifford. I fell for an unknown reason and ended up with 3 ankle fractures. That was 6 mo ago and still recovering. Have a bad deformity due to Scoliosis and cannot use crutches. Have to get 4 screws out because my body is rejecting them. Then I can concentrate getting my back somewhat fixed.
I hope that you get better soon. Scoliosis is so hard to deal with, but research is being done and new cures and surgeries are being discovered every day. My friend recently had a new spine put in because of spondylosis. She can walk and do any movement without pain now.
Good evening 7:23pm from WA! She lost her faith in God, that’s sad. It’s very hard to believe when you loose someone close to you but I pray she’ll get it back
I had a grandson that is now my granddaughter. I love her unconditionally. I called her one day and during our conversation I asked if she felt that way for a long time. She said things about her childhood finally made sense. I had just had a grandmother necklace made so had to change the charm from a boy to a girl. I can't change the bracelet I have because the names are etched into it and it wasn't cheap. I don't wear it because now the name is wrong. She's worth it! I love all my grandkids and nothing will change that. I have a friend from high school and her ex-husband said that if any of his kids came out as gay, they will no longer be his child. That really upset me. I've lost touch with them but will have to see if any of their kids are gay. I pray that if they are, he didn't really disown them.
Margaret and Clifford are lovely. I also lost my beautiful son at age 34. That was 7 years ago, and I couldn’t have said it better than Margaret. I have no faith. I don’t believe in anything anymore. My husband and I carry on, but there is such an emptiness inside me. I’m just broken. Peace to dear Margaret and Clifford
I'm so sorry for your loss. Have you ever gone to a counsellor or spoken to someone at length about his suicide? I just know that he wouldn't want you feeling this way for the rest of your lives. Peace and blessings to you.
