In the US it’s different the way the doctors work in the US you have a doctor that goes to different rooms. They have their own office but they different patient room so you might have four rooms for one doctor and then they fill the room while the doctors talking with somebody and they put other people in the room so the doctor just goes room to room to room.
This is like a whole other world for me. My Dr. Since covid treats all his patients over the phone. You give him symptoms and he will prescribe medication over the phone. If the problem is beyond him he sets up a specialist appointment without an exam and you may have to wait a year. I see a cardiologist as I have blocked heart valves and he sends me for blood tests twice a year. The cardiologist calls with the results and thats that. When you see what these wonderful Doctors observe by a brief physical exam and observing a patients behavior it is beyond criminal that Some Drs. have decided they can treat a patient over the phone. I requested to see a cardiologist and my Dr. Refused 5 months later I had a heart attack and was told my blood was so think and I had 3 blocked valves and was at an enourmous tisk of having a massive stroke. I had been complaining of breathing problems for 3 years. 😮 I must say this is in Vancouver, not the UK.
Ok, I have to say this…that dude that says he needs ADHD medication, don’t think so! He is acting the total opposite from one that takes this medication…lol He certainly gave it a try though, lol Then you bash the person on the phone when you hang up because she/he is 100 yrs old. WOW I hope someone is kind to you when your old, NOT!
So the hyperactiveness part of ADHD tends the go away in adulthood but this person to me looks like he found a US doctor to prescribe the amphetamines not for ADHD but solely for university. It’s a big problem here in the US with just getting things like Ritalin just simply for being in college/university.
That lady with that was in pain at least there was a place to send her. I mean Pet doesn’t happen in the US you literally have to be dying before the hospitals will take you out now, and I literally was in the hospital for a month my shoulder due to sepsis my shoulder, had just exploded with pus. They were deciding whether or not to take me to surgery at the same time they were deciding whether or not to take me to surgery, the other doctor was actually trying to discharge me know at the time I couldn’t move with semi paralyzed and let alone and have basically just been found on the floor a couple weeks later after only having water for three days and there was a heated heated argument between my surgeon who was trying desperately to keep me in the hospital so the doctor that literally almost came to a fight I was kept for two days and then they ended up Not sending me to physical therapy because I had a guide dog and the place didn’t want a dog which is illegal but nobody seem to care. I was taking my wheelchair to a van they took me home pick me up put me in my bed and left me I said I can’t get to the bathroom. I can’t get to the kitchen they said here some water and some snacks. Hopefully nurse will be there tomorrow. Then charge me $4000 because since I wasn’t in the hospital, nothing was covered
I hope one day we hear in the U.S. can get a NHS of our own. Our 27 yr old daughter cannot go to the doctor she can not afford health insurance and the health insurance they offer has very high deductibles so what good is it anyway. 😢
Wonderful documentary on physicians and function of the NHS. Quite interesting inside look. It seems those seeking medical intervention are well looked after. That being said, no public service is perfect.
I wonder how much these patients are being paid to take part in this show. It must be a decent amount surely. Who wants to share this stuff with the world otherwise?
@@Pattys1967 you are right about the free healthcare system. My 2 year old got nipped on the cheek by a puppy, we were transferred by ambulance 2.5hours away to have a plastic surgeon take her in to surgery and put 2 stitches in her cheek. Her and I were kept in the hospital for about 5 days, to make sure she didn’t get an infection. We were given scar prevention treatment, antibiotics, everything we needed to take home with us. All free of charge. They even told us we could apply for financial assistance to cover the cost of our transport home from the hospital and allowed us to stay an extra night because it was getting a bit late in the day for us to be travelling home. We were so well taken care of ❤️
I’m pretty certain that legally speaking, they wouldn’t be allowed to be offered a monetary compensation, since they have to voluntarily give consent to share medical information and their identity
@@nicolemitchell446 I am glad she got such wonderful care. I hope the puppy didn’t have the nip held against it. Often small children aren’t properly supervised or taught how to behave around animals and it is the animal that pays the price.
@@MaggiePiffles we later realised the dog did it with her nail. She used to always tap your leg or arm with her paw to get you to pat her. A couple of the doctors had commented how unusual it was for there to be just one little puncture but it wasn’t until later that I figured out what had happened. It was entirely our fault. I never let my daughter get down on the floor with the dog but her dad looked away and the next thing she was crying with blood on her face. The dog was in no way behaving aggressively so we thought our daughter may have hurt or given the dog a fright and it had given her a warning nip out of instinct. It was my in-laws dog. Nothing happened to the dog. She died of old age. My daughter learnt not to put her face too close to a dog and her dad learnt to watch her better around animals. Her wound healed up amazingly. Completely flat and just a tiny pale line.
