Very easy way to correct the travel and angle of the shocks, just installing shorter shocks doesn’t fix the problem. Thanks David , great explanation of this important modification while lowering your C10
Great video! I'm glad that I have rear leaf packs instead of coils on my '68 C10, I didn't have to fight with my U bolts when I had swapped out my rear axle.
I installed the rear shock relocations on my 65’ c10. Ride is much better. Do I need to also run lowering shocks? Sitting 5 “springs and 2” drop blocks. TIA
You should relocate the shocks whenever you drop the truck. At 3" you could probably get away with not doing it, but your shock effectiveness will be compromised.
If I’m going with airbags but not adding a lowering block or anything, will this still work fully aired up or aired out? My concern is that the shocks will be maxed out, or bottomed out (using stock shocks)
No idea. the customer already had it in there before we started working on it. Possibly a Blazer tank? We sell a conversion using that tank here: www.brotherstrucks.com/Custom-Gas-Tanks/products/2175/
I know it's three years ago. But you guys do the best videos out there

Thanks Oldblue!
Thx for the tip will be putting a 2 1\2" and 5" drop on my 65 c10
No problem, thank you for watching!
Great video. I’m doing my suspension this weekend and I feel like I’ll run into this same issue with my 70!
As we always say, just be prepared when you start the job for anything that might come up during the process.
Great video!

You were lucky!
Great video, I am trying to do all my own work and this video really helped me out
Right on!
Thanks for the great content.
Thank you for watching!
Great I rather have a video like this so I can fix my mistake.

Good video!!! So if I put a 3” spring drop i will have to do this?

As long as you get a shock length that is properly 50/50 when your truck is in the middle of the suspension travel you should have any issues.
Very true way lower rearend but not shocks & springs be better to do whole rear suspension it's big difference from stock to custom.
So True!
What’s the part number on that gas tank? I know that’s not the blazer 25 gallon tank. Cause it’s not a square it’s a rectangle on top
It's this tank: www.brotherstrucks.com/1967-72-CHEVY_GMC-TRUCK-REAR-MOUNT-GAS-TANK-SET-STEEL-TOP-FILL/productinfo/GTPDT72/
Do the shocks come with this kit or is it only the brackets
Just the brackets. You would then purchase the shocks that correspond with your particular ride height or drop.
Do the fatter shocks go to the front or rear?
Our shocks all have the same size shock body.
Does this lower bracket work on a leaf spring c10 truck?
Nope, sorry, just coil spring suspension. Contact Performance Online and see if they have a set for leafs.
Does the bed have to come off for this? Or can I do it with the bed on?
It can be done with the bed on.
Will this work for an 86?
This one won't, but we have kits for the '86 here: www.brotherstrucks.com/Shocks/products/2447/
torque specs ?
30-40ft lbs
What tank is that?
No idea. the customer already had it in there before we started working on it. Possibly a Blazer tank? We sell a conversion using that tank here: www.brotherstrucks.com/Custom-Gas-Tanks/products/2175/
It is against the will of the Gods to work on vehicles in black socks! LOL
Wouldn’t that job be easier with the wheels off?
Yeah, anything extra that improves access is a good idea. You'll notice we did take the wheels off on this project after a while.
BROTHERS Truck Parts I didn’t even finish watching this. Glad you figured it out, work smarter, not harder.
I don't know I have 3/4 in drive impact I don't like playing well with others
