This was a fantastic watch... love seeing coach/player relationships like this, it really is one of the most important aspects in the game.. love this type of content.
Pete may be a little curt, but taking the time to absorb what he orates is time well spent. He really is man of, "Don't waste my time!" His ability to spot what's happening in the swing in real time is OUTSTANDING! I had to slow the swing down to frame by frame recently on one of his sessions, and dang if he wasn't spot on!
Fascinating that Rory and he did not mesh. Rory's Achilles heel is distance control on wedges, what Cowan calls 'flash speed.' Flash speed works great for driver swings, but not for distance control. I also heard Patty T talking about reducing the curve on her wedges this week by swinging more in control than her driver swing. I wonder, is the flash speed the result of face rotation? Is that what they are talking about and is that Rory's issue?
If you have a massive ego, you aint going to get on well with Mr Cowen, no surprise his stable of players are hyper focused, hyper competitive without any of the baggage
Under Pete's tutelage, there are only two players that has been successful to a certain extent, that would be Rory M and Brooks K. His list of pupils are extensive(Westwood, Stenson, Garcia, Clark, Oosthuizen, Woodland, Willett and others) but these and others hasn't garnered much success in majors or tournament wins. Some of his pupils has attained the #1 spot but only for a short period of time. Compared to Butch H and Hank H, Pete is behind in results. However, Pete manage to sustain a career as a premier instructor on the tour is credited to his dedication to the game and to his pupils. This is the very reason that so many PGA professionals seek his advice. And I believe PC is a businessman fundamentally.
@@Gupps0123456 seems like op doesn’t know that petiers is a 3 time ET winner and a ryder cup player. Although i feel as tho thomas has really underachieved in his career.
Waist of time. In one or two sentences I can you have a very, good golf swing. literally 5x better than this swing. At 157 yards a pro golfer should be missing by inches not feet.
@@arjanpetersen Alright, do not believe me but look at that divot patch this golfer is making. The reason he is not getting better is because he is doing it wrong or in a difficult way. The golf swing should be simple with very fine adjustments more difficult to master. With my swing, he would look up every time to see if the ball was going to hit the flag or go in from that range.
Brilliant stuff, absolutely demolishing the pga tours channel week in week out
Weird indeed. It is same organization .. but American people just expect old fashioned golf.

A rare insight into the master that is Pete Cowan. Thanks for sharing!
Cowen
I'm sitting in my lounge listening to Pete Cowan thinking I could go out and rip every shot. That's the magic of the man 💪
More of these videos would be great. Brilliant insight into player coach relationship.
I’m 10 mins away from the Pete Cowen academy, he is such a gentleman. I needed a new grip and Pete did it himself at no cost.

This is gold! Pete Cowan is always a must watch. Interested in other such sessions, the 1 on the right of Thomas for example.
Cowen
Crazy that Captain Quint from Jaws is now giving golf lessons. Great career move. Not to mention Callways Jaws line….
One of the best vids i have seen i a long time!
Awesome stuff 👏🏻⛳️

pete is the sort of coach, that if you went to get lessons off him, he would be honest enough to tell you to stop wasting your time and money
Pete is God.😇
How is the score out of 100 calculated?
How much is Pete per hr
Roy Keane told his parents to move out when he turned 18
You may want to spell Coach Cowen name correctly.

lay off the car analogies, the engine transferring power to the steering?
Great content that I really wanted to watch and hear but I couldn’t because of the annoying background music🙁.

Pete probably charged him $200 forv30 mins work then gave him a 3/10 lol

😂😂😂😂 lol.. dude you are so far from the truth
Thomas has gone downhill since he started working with Pete Cowen. He was one of the best players at the Ryder Cup, now he’s struggling to make cuts!
Hasn’t he been with pete since he was an amateur?
