At first I didn't like the 1k idea but if you dial it back to what a 30th anniversary means it makes a lot of sense. PS1 came out way before I was born, I still think the bundle should go to the biggest fans and actual long standing PS users, not the mfs with the most bots lol
Why 12,300 unit? Then produce more just like the standard version if sony knows can make a lot of profit or sell a LTD 30th anniversary cover plate more to overcome scalpers

Just make pro 30th limited time to meet demand of everyone who preorders and still make them for everyone who ask past the limited time. That would be a pro move.😊

$0ny should only include players with the longest PlayStation Plus membership in the last 10 years and the longest hours of play who want to buy 30TH. And only those who apply themselves. If the number of applicants exceeds 12,300... No, they wouldn't have to hold a lottery. The number of months of PSPlus and hours of play should be enough. Practically 0 chances for scalpers. Of course, someone would want to sell... But there is a solution for that too. At least after a year of owning a console registered to the buyer's data and with their PSN account. The conditions do not match - do not buy, this edition should be for loyal fans only. And I definitely will not buy PS5 PRO after such treatment by $0ny!!! Thank you

To combat scalpers, Sony should just release the 30th anniversary console plates. There are already internal ssd to make the console 2 tb.
