Aw thanks for the shoutout Emily! I'm loving the Game Boy coverage 😍 I've recently been getting back into GBC myself (mostly collecting imports), and it's such a fun & nostalgic era! Also, all the new figures look fantastic 🥰
Nice pick ups, and I am glad that you have Oracle of Seasons and Ages together again. Speaking of together again, I required Lunar the Silver Star Story complete, even though I have had my copy of Eternal Blue for ages. I just started Cold Steel 3, and I had to replay key moments in CS II as it took me along time to get through the Sky and Crossbell Arcs.
I'm super happy to have the Oracle game together again too! And congrats on your completion too. Hope you enjoy your Cold Steel 3 playthrough! Things really get super intense in 3/4 :)
Sweet pick ups. Have fun with your shelf when Emma and Alisa get announced lol. I liked seeing your Xenoblade figures so much I ended up getting the Pyra/Mythra Amiibos. Much cheaper option for me at least and they still look so good.
Ahh I'm still conflicted about the Alisa 1/7 Quesq figure (also the Altina). I worry that she will tower over the others & that Kotobukiya will eventually announce a 1/8 for her to go with the rest lol. And I'm glad you were able to grab the Pyra/Mythra amiibos! The detail is great on those, especially for the price.
@@orbalology I agree with you saying there are not enough husbando figures too. Crows figure is cool looking with that twin blade. I may get him down the road, but I got Renne instead.
Thank you for sharing, Emily.😊 My last month pickup are Trails into Reverie, Octopath Traveler 2, Crisis Core FF 7, Omori, and Death End Re;quest 2. More than usual since it's my birthday..🎉
looking forward to your upcoming videos Emily! ♥ your content always inspires me to curate my collection a bit more. I picked up the FFXVI Shiva statue rececntly from the JP only kuji/lottery and she's on the way now! I can't wait to get her!
Wow 🤩🤩🤩😲😲. Tharja is honestly my favorite fire emblem character. Such a cool pickup! I'm a little jealous and definitely wish I had that. I remember maxing her out and one shotting enemies on the other side of the map >
Yes, Surugaya is great to find harder to find figures for a great, second hand price! Also, they have a free shipping promo throughout the year, so it is worth checking out.
Another great pickups video, Emily! You can never go wrong with reacquiring childhood favorites. I cannot wait to hear your impressions of the Analogue Pocket once it arrives! Such an amazing little device, and it really enhances the Game Boy playing experience. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! I fear for my wallet for whatever Kotobukiya has in store for their Trails series but I can't wait for Estelle to finally get a nice scale figure 🥰
This video was super worth the wait Emily as is all your videos in general! The amazing game / figure pick ups were incredible to see! That inscryption collectors box from SRG looks gorgeous and i hate that i missed out on it! :( lol. Your figure collection grows by the day and it's always amazing to see how you display them / your passion for them! Forever vicariously living through you with those figures haha. As always, stellar work Emily, this was thoroughly enjoyable! :)
Thanks so much Michael! And there's a possibility that VGP may get Inscryption in stock (or SRG may do a leftover stock sale) - something that may be worth looking into if that's the case :)
So envious of that Tharja statue you scored. Definitely one of my holy grails and I'm still holding out hope they decide to reissue her someday. Can't believe how much Camilla has been going for on the after market. You have one of the best backdrops in your videos and I love how you continue to add to it with all these amazing statues.
A beautiful Video your collection is stunning 🙏🏻 and very nice to hear you talk about childhood memories and finding items that bring back those classic times 😊 I look forward to your next video 👍✌🏻
Yeah take your time with trails into reverie it’s amazing. Unfortunately I kinda had to rush myself to beat it before school starts up again for me lol. Can’t wait for next ones to come hopefully in the near future
Yeah Reverie really seems like a title you have to take your time with. I'm hoping we'll hear about the Kuro localizations sometime soon - maybe with release dates for early next year? If not hopefully by next summer.
It's great to see you're filming again. I just finished watching your collaboration with Davidvinc. I muted your comment to avoid spoilers, but it's always nice to hear that a game that I'm going to play in the near future offers great sidequests. To be honest, I was disappointed with the extra stuff in XBC DE and with Torna (albeit I enjoyed the core story in XBC DE and pretty much the entirety of in XBC 2). Now, onto this video, I'm not a statue collector or owner, so I don't have much to say about them other than they look good, with a smidgeon of ecchi. I'm a little disappointed that the Reverie translation isn't as faithful as I'd like it to be, and my copy of FFX/X-2 from PlayAsia is on its way, and I'm curious if I'll be able to redeem gold points with it (I doubt it, given that it's been over a year since release), but I'll give it a shot.
I actually made sure not to go into spoiler territory for David's recent side quest collab, I talked more in generalities and didn't go into specifics :) But XC3 really stepped up what side quests can be in modern JRPGs imo, vastly improved from the prior entries.
Wow can't believe I have never come across your channel before. Your taste in games is very much like myself. Love the Vita goodness behind you. Looking forward to catching up on your previous over the course the week. Keep up the great work. Earned another sub.
Fun watching this pickup video! I can’t wait for you to get the analogue. I have been playing the Metroid games on it and boy it looks so nice. Can’t wait for the next video. Have a nice week Emily!
Just yesterday I placed a VGP order for Night In The Woods, Shadow of the Colossus, The Last Guardian, and Fatal Twelve. Super excited to get them! Honestly two of these were slight fomo pick ups: I had my eyes on the restock page to see which games were moving units quickly (of course Fata Morgana was gone in seconds), to help aide my purchase decisions. Fatal and Night were moving, so I quickly looked up reviews and got them. I’m definitely happy to get another VN with Fatal as I’m trying to get into more of them, and the story looks to be right up my alley. The SRG Inscryption box looks gorgeous! I was so close to grabbing that, but regrettably opted not to as my funds went towards the 8BitDo Ultimate controller. If they ever restock I’m on it though. Would love to hear your impressions Emily. The ESRB Yellow font difference is something I always intended to look into, but never did. Cool little piece of history for sure. I remember as a kid thinking the “KA” rating was made specifically for me as it perfectly fits my initials (Kyle A. is my name, should be safe sharing that much here as there are so many Kyles out there lol).
Oh those are all great titles! I have Fatal Twelve & I hear it's supposed to be a fun danganronpa style VN, and I my Night in the Woods copy is the last LRG preorder I've been waiting on. I think it got held up with the other game I ordered it with but hoping to have that sometime soon in the collection :) And from my understanding VGP & PNP games often get copies of Special Reserve Games - so may be worth checking their site periodically. SRG also sometimes does a flash sale of left over stock too so hopefully you can snag a copy from one of those options.
Great pickups. I've actually have a bit of burnout myself. Not necessarily with playing games but with purchasing them. I feel a bit burnt out on trying to keep up with all the new games. So I'm just not gonna purchase things for a while. I will do one more decently sized order in the next few weeks and then after that just significantly slow down. Do you see yourself slowing down or keeping up with your current rate of purchases? I hope youre able to pull yourself out of your gaming slump soon and I look forward to your future video about the topic as well as hopefully your thoughts about the your Analog Pocket when that arrives. ^^
I think making deliberate pauses in collecting is a good thing! In the past I've found myself getting caught in buying cycles where I was doing it automatically, without much conscious thought. Like a routine or habit I couldn't break. It's really not a healthy way to consume & form our collections. I think the time away can also help bring some perspective to your collections & guide you on how you may want to approach them if you decide to get back in :) I've collected a lot of things over the years and I definitely go through cycles. These past couple of months I haven't made too many purchases actually, most of what I showed here today were preorders from awhile ago. It can be difficult balancing multiple hobbies & allocating funds to certain things, so I can see myself going through cycles with game collecting. Where some months are a bit slower than others. With the gaming slump I think it's starting to dissipate thankfully. I will probably go more into details in my video for next week but I think I pinpointed the problem & potentially have a way to avoid it in the future :)
Definitely looking forward to picking up Ghost Trick on Switch as opposed to paying for it on DS, I only hear great things about that game and the remaster. But I too am a bit burnt out on games, especially after Tears of the Kingdom.
Wow old Pokémon games bring back so much nostalgia. I still have my copy of Pokémon Red I got decades ago. I agree with you having physical copies of your fav games for future entertainment 😄
I can believe I missed this video! Tharja was my favorite female character from Awakening, I paired her with Lon'qu and had a lot of fun 'cause he was super shy and awkward towards female characters and she was all murdery and psycho.
I'm super impressed with the Kotobukiya Trails figures! They keep getting better & better with every release! (So part of me is glad Estelle hasn't been announced yet, that way we can expect an amazing figure of her once she is lol).
I love Final Fantasy. If you haven't played X-2, I can understand buying the import version. I still have my PS2 copy, so I wasn't as worried about the ESRB Switch version being a download. I have all my old Gameboy games as well, but at this point I just emulate those. Dying cartridge batteries seem like the perfect reason to switch to emulation. You're legally allowed to emulate if you already own a copy of the game. Analog Pocket seems cool, but I don't think I'd get enough use out of it to justify buying another console.
I know that while I’ve always loved your videos, I’ve also bemoaned the temptation that you give me with respect to figures. I have been considering starting to collect Nendoroids as a “happy medium” of sorts and I’m afraid that your mentioning them may very well push me into ver the edge. Thank you? I kid though; great video as always!
Haha, the Nendoroid collecting is a great option to consider! As are the popup parade line. Though sometimes they can be the gateway to the figure collecting rabbit hole 😂
Majority of my new arrivals this month have been figures and other hobby merch - the biggest ones being the 5th Anniversary Symphony Miku scale figure. She been out on the waves for many months, but she finally arrived safe-and-sound a week and half ago. Like majority of my recent purchases from Good Smile Company, she exhibits several noticeable defects. Although GSC has been good with providing me replacements, the continuing quality control issues are starting to wear down my confidence in them. I may withhold purchase of their future figures until well after their releases, once reviews are available aplenty.
Ohhh the Symphony Miku scale is stunning, congrats on finally receiving her! But sorry to hear your recent issues with GoodSmile. It's disappointing that they've been dropping the ball as of late. Especially considering all the figure price increases we've been seeing.
I’ve been experiencing a bit of game burnout myself lately 😭 I really need to find something to get excited about playing, but nothing is striking me at the moment. Great choices on Pokémon Yellow and LoZ Ages and Seasons. Those are some classics for sure! Excited that your Pocket is shipping soon! I think you’ll really love it. I’m a retro handheld fanatic and I still find myself using the Pocket more than my modded Gameboys. I’ve had it for about a year and I’m excited that my Dock should be coming in this next shipment 😊
I'm super excited to see that Analogue Pocket screen & glad to hear it's one that you reach for still too. Hopefully we'll both be able to combat our game burnout sometime soon!!
Nice pick ups! I got the email that they are shipping my analogue pocket soon. I am excited. Ghost Trick is in my Play-Asia cart for a while now but I've been hesitant to finalize the order. I still need to think on it or wait for good word of mouth. Your figurine collection is starting to spiral out of control as well and they are taking up so much of your shelf space. It's pretty cool but I think I need to save money and focus on just games. I also got the FFX & X-2 Switch Asia copy recently from Play-Asia. It arrived with Pixel Remaster Asia version as well. I now have all of the original FF1-12 on the Switch that are all physical. It's pretty cool to have. Did you manage to purchase Fata Morgana from the VGP restock?
Ahh yay glad to hear you got a shipping notification email from Analogue! For Ghost Trick I recommend watching my friend's video on it! I linked it in the description :) I actually already own The House in Fata Morgana on the Switch but it was cool that some folks were able to get the limited restock for it (though I think it went rather quickly).
Nice pickups! I had a way too busy month with pickups thanks to a collection being dropped off at a local pawn shop, but what I'm most excited for is completing my Trails of Cold Steel collection with a PEGI PS4 copy of Trails of Cold Steel IV through Play Asia. 😊
Great video Em, love your figures, especially the fire emblem one, it's a series I've always wanted to try out, but don't know where to start. I currently just ordered a bunch of games, upgrade 6 games to PS4 versions (Resident Evil 5, Resident Evil 6, Murdered soul suspect, Assassin's creed Ezio collection, one piece unlimited world red deluxe, god of war 3 remastered and i bought transformers cybertron adventures on the Wii. Also bought two One Piece Nico Robin glitters and glamour figures, they are beautiful.
I really love the 3DS fire emblem titles, my first was Awakening and if you have the system I highly recommend starting there! Otherwise I think Three Houses on the Switch is a nice place to start, even though it slightly deviates from the fire emblem formula it's still a great game. And nice pickups! I've been in the market for a Nico Robin figure too but undecided whether to wait for some new ones or try to get one of her older releases.
Great video! Those Game Boy games and manuals bring me back a bit! Always loved the notebook-style of the first Pokemon manuals, made it feel like such an adventure. Also I really need to get Ghost Trick too, never had it on the DS but all the character animations I see are so full of personality. I just met Renne yesterday in Trails in the Sky SC for the first time.... cannot quite imagine her wielding a scythe but I suppose there are spoilers around why that is😛. I will also put my stake in the ground as a FF15 lover (and I played the initial version without the day 1 patch because I had just got back into gaming and did not realise games could be patched over the Internet!😂 Was a shock to connect to the Internet and see the HP of one of my party members pretty much halve!). FF10 used to be a popular one to recommend for new FF fans but it has had a bit of a backlash recently (I feel a little overdone, probably was a bit overrated before but is over-hated now). Would recommend considering FF7R as a mainline entry as well.
Oh that's right about FF7R, hmm I may try to play that one before FF15. In my initial OG FF7 playthrough I think I got to the part that the remake leaves off. I may need to double check or try to finish it up before the second part comes out.
I only picked up Final Fantasy 14 when it was on sale this past month, but I haven’t entered the code yet, as I still have free trial left. I only had Oracle of Ages growing up, so I don’t know much about Seasons, but if I ever decide to pick up NSOnline I’ll definitely give it a try. I’m also looking forward to Minish Cap since I missed that as a kid. I don’t know much about Tharja besides her being super popular. Hopefully they do some kind of rerelease for the 3DS Fire Emblems so people don’t have to worry about missing chunks of the games due to dlc.
Wow! I didn't know Inscyiption had a physical release! That game is quite the experience! Please consider doing a let's play of that game, I love watching people's reaction to that game!
I feel you with burn out. I've got to finish Zero, Azure, Cold Steel 3 & 4 before Reverie and I also want to mix up different styles of games between titles.
Thanks for sharing another great video. I just finished playing through the story of Trails into Reverie and while I understand your desire to go back to the two earlier games, I think you should just leap into the new one. The game has recaps of the previous games and also I found the memories came flooding back. I understand game burn out (its why I rotate four different games). I think with such long games you cannot just replay them and not expect to be drained (as well as be enthralled). I tried playing Atelier Marie Remake as I am a big fan of that series but I just couldn't vibe with it and have struggled to do even one play through. I also just got the Plat for FF16 and now will be moving on to Oxenfree 2.
Yeah Atelier Marie is a lot different from the modern Atelier games. I found some things a little off putting too, though it has it's own charms. I feel a bit mixed about it, even though I binged my first playthrough. We'll see about Reverie, I'm still worried my burnout will put me in the wrong headspace for the game 😅
Love Ghost Trick. I was fortunate to get it on DS back in the day and it's just a unique little experience. I'm happy to not have it on Switch since I still own it but glad it's way more accessible now as visual novels are hard sells to buy for those prices.
I got this upscaler. It's called a "GBSC" and it makes some older consoles playable on modern TVs. For me it's to enable playing PS1 games on my PS2 since my tv no longer supports the 240p resolution of the PS1.
Holy crap Inscryption is so good! Play it ASAP. I missed out on all the versions but the PS5 version so thats the one I had to get, but I'm happy to own it physically
I haven't picked up much recently. I did pick up Tales of Arise for Xbox and Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart for the SteamDeck, but unfortunately the SteamDeck died, so I sent that out and I'm now awaiting the replacement.
Funny, I just started playing FF1 so I'm gonna go in order instead of reverse order. I don't have a PS5 so it'll be a while before I can play 16 anyway. I always love seeing the Trails figures as well. If I had a bit more disposable income I'd be all over those. At least they seem to be restocking some of them. Might at least be able to get Rean.
Rean is a good choice especially with his recent reissue! So you may be able to grab him on the aftermarket for not too much when you're in the market for figure collecting :)
Didn't know Inscryption got a switch physical, bummed I missed it! :P Hope you enjoy Ghost Trick tho I loved the DS version so much happy to see it become accessible again even if my OG copy becomes devalued a bit :)
You may be able to get a physical copy of Inscryption if SRG has a flash sale for extra stock. Or maybe VGP or PNP games will have copies soon for sale.
I have read that on some of these Japanese import sites for figures and such the Japanese "damaged" condition for boxes and items is usually not nearly as bad as you would expect since they have higher standards and tend to take better care of their goods vs the expectations of buying something "damaged" over here which I don't think I would gamble on unless I saw the exact specifics. 😅
Picked up the collectors edition of Master Detective Archives: Rain Code, would definitely recommend giving the game a try. I'll admit, I probably had some FOMO for the game and just picked the collectors edition because it was available, but in the end I am glad I got the collectors edition.
Ah I've been eyeing this game though wasn't sure if I wanted to grab the collector's edition or not due to space issues. But I've heard fantastic things about the game so glad you were able to snag a copy :)
Ooh I am also intrigued by Inscryption. Have you heard of Where the Water Meets the Wine? And Cult of the Lamb is great fun, I just put out a lil baby review of it myself :)
@@orbalology haven't played it yet but I was very intrigued by the strange map traversal and how story driven the game is supposed to be. I'll post a review when I get around to giving it a go!
As someone has comented, the less you know about Inscryption the better. My recent pickups have been the amiibo xenoblade waifus (for someone who hasn't bought a single figurine they look pretty good) and Baldur's Gate which is going to be one of the Goty's for sure. Edit: Those Trails figurines look sick
Glad you got ahold of Pyra/Mythra amiibo! They look great & are so well priced! I'm tempted to pick up Baldur's Gate on the PS5 when it comes out, but I may have to wait for a sale 😂
Sounds like another big month! Funny you mention burn out, I deliberately took a few weeks off of games prior to FF 16 so I’d be fresh for it - it worked, what a great game! inscryption is a really interesting game that stole my Christmas day last year. The card battling sections were great fun to work out but I thought it was sometimes too clever for its own good and at the expense of the player. I’d love to hear what you think when you’ve had a chance to play it. Good luck with the Nendroids - hopefully we won’t need to stage an intervention 😄
I've been having too much fun with oracle of ages and seasons. I played both simultaneously and boy oh boy it's probably my favorite zelda experience. Wish they'd remake those like links awakening and make it just one big epic game
My July pickups were Worms 3D and Worms Forts Under Siege for the ps2...both are gems. I also got a Sega Genesis model 1 "High Definition Graphics" version. It's not actually HD...of course...but it says that on the console.
Gaming burnout is real haha! But yeah just remember you don't have to play them everyday and such. Thankfully they aren't going anywhere 😎👌 nice pickups tho!
I’ve actually been on a JRPG burnout recently. So I caved and finally bought a Series S for game pass (only had switch) and have been enjoying the resident evil remakes. And I honestly think you’d love Resident Evil 1 remake as it’s essentially a wonderful and “charming” puzzle mystery game that’s aged tremendously well. The pre-rendered backgrounds in it are just so great! Only issue is I’m not sure physical copies are still being made for switch and am gonna guess it’s always been digital only for PS4/5 :/
I've been interested in some of the Resident Evil games actually! Recently the RE4 remake as I dabbled a bit in the original back on the PS2. I may have to look into the first one too.
@@orbalology i definitely can’t wait for 4 remake to go on sale too as it looks stunning and appears to stay pretty faithful. Such a great cast in that one! 2 & 3 remake were both incredible; beat them both in just a week. 2 also has lots of really good puzzles I’ll add.
That’s so bizarre that the Asian version of the x/x-2 collection is all on the cart but the North American release wasn’t. Are there different sized switch carts?
I think the Asian release uses one of the larger (& more expensive) cartridge sizes. I haven't confirmed but I think they use the 32GB switch carts instead of the standard 16GB carts.
I actually broke down and ordered ff10, ff10-2 as well a little while ago. The cover art on mine is reversible and has just the title on a white background on the other side though.
@orbalology I believe that is the one I have. The cover art with Tidus and Yuna is on the inside of mine with the clean looking white title art on the outside. Looks to be reversible if one wanted to change it.
Jealous of your Tharja figurine 😮 She's my favorite girl from Awakening, I uh...like mean girls 🥴 Her kid was hilarious also. Normally super shy but the way she gets with the charm that her mother gave her 😅
Congrats on the reasonably priced Tharja pick up. I wouldn't say I'm burned out but after 100%ing Reverie I've taken a few days off of gaming. Partially because I've been busy and partially to take everything all in. P.S. Since you said you haven't played Reverie yet but used some of its OST in this vid, do you listen to game soundtracks before playing a game?
I've listened to most Falcom music already, haha. But I these songs I ripped from my collector edition CD and put into the background of that unboxing. I like the tracks so decided to put them in this video too.
After finishing TOTK I am also going thru gaming burnout, so I am slowly recovering from it n.n. My biggest excuse is that my favorite artist has returned so my money and time is currently dedicated to commissioning my main artist to draw ideas I had
No rush on making videos whenever you get to it cool, we know your busy balancing work and getting to enjoy it all. Ive been holding out to get X-2 as physical. I loved X but my hiatus began right after that. VII-X were all awesome in their own ways.
I'm looking forward to trying them out! So far I've only played FF16 & the original FF12, with about half of the original FF7... so I have a lot of catching up to do 😂
Hmm, I think that you can start with Marie however the gameplay is so different from the modern Atelier games it may not paint the best idea of how the rest of the series is. There's more focus in time management (even when you are playing with the time limit off), whereas the recent games are much more relaxing. Personally I think Ryza 1 is one of the best places to start :)
I love when pickups have a mix of old and new ☺️💚
Same! I try my best to feature both whenever I can 😆
Awesome pickups as per usual! I’m super jelly of your figure collection! Thraja looks STUNNING! 😍And thanks for the shoutout!
Thanks Fejiro! Tharja really is stunning, so happy to have her at last 😍
Nice pickups and collection. I really like the 360 rotating view of the figures. it really shows the quality. That Crow figure is awesome!
Crow turned out so great - loved how detailed & well painted he was :)
Looks like some cool stuff!! I found Animal Crossing for the GameCube at a garage sale this morning for $.50!! 😁😁
Score! It's cool you can still find some good retro deals out in the wild still :)
@@orbalology yup! Now if I could just find some Super Nintendo or N64 stuff like I’ve really been looking for lol
Ahh Sweet gameboy pick ups! Every time I see a manual of any kind I get slapped back into the good ol days. Sooo nostalgic!💜
Game Boy manuals always hit me with a wave of nostalgia as well! Ah, the good ol' days 😆
Aw thanks for the shoutout Emily! I'm loving the Game Boy coverage 😍 I've recently been getting back into GBC myself (mostly collecting imports), and it's such a fun & nostalgic era! Also, all the new figures look fantastic 🥰
Of course, your video was great! And oohhh I would love to see a video from you sharing your GBC import collection :)
Nice idea to use ESRB rating for determine print run! Great looking figures!
Thank you!! :)
Great gameboy pickups!! I had completely forgotten how cool and well themed the manual for Pokémon Yellow version was! So nostalgic to see that again!
The Yellow manual is really one of the best! I'm so glad that I was able to recover that from my parents house last year.
You have a awesome collection going there Emily! You can tell that your very proud of it & really enjoy it! Keep on collecting!
Thanks so much, and will do!! 😄
@@orbalology
I agree with you saying there are not enough husbando figures too. Crows figure is cool looking with that twin blade.
I may get him down the road, but I got Renne instead.
Congrats on getting those amiibo. Been sold out everywhere I’ve looked.
Great video Emily. Making videos at your own pace in a way that is enjoyable to you is the best way i think.
Thanks so much! I'll try my best to find a good balance with my future uploads 😄
Aww thanks! And wow that statue looks amazing, congrats on securing one! I know some Ichiban Kuji figures & items can be difficult to acquire.
Wow 🤩🤩🤩😲😲. Tharja is honestly my favorite fire emblem character. Such a cool pickup! I'm a little jealous and definitely wish I had that. I remember maxing her out and one shotting enemies on the other side of the map >
Awakening is so fun! I really enjoyed her character too, and was surprised they brought her over to the Tokyo Mirage Sessions crossover too.
Oracle of Seasons and Ages are great. I'm glad I bought them on the 3DS eshop before it closed. Cool show n tell 😊😊😊
Thanks! And glad to hear you enjoy the Oracle games too :)
Yes, Surugaya is great to find harder to find figures for a great, second hand price!
Also, they have a free shipping promo throughout the year, so it is worth checking out.
I just learned about their periodic free shipping promo! It's great they offer that every now and then :)
Same here😅
I’m really thankful to The Miyazaki Man for sharing his knowledge of this awesome second hand store
Those were some great pickups! I also grabbed Inscyption, and I'm really excited to try it out.
Inscryption looks so cool! Can't wait to get to it & see what all the hype is about :)
Another great pickups video, Emily! You can never go wrong with reacquiring childhood favorites. I cannot wait to hear your impressions of the Analogue Pocket once it arrives! Such an amazing little device, and it really enhances the Game Boy playing experience. Thanks for sharing!
I can't wait too! I'm going to probably boot up ALTTP first and relive those nostalgic feels (on an amazing new screen!) 😄
Congrats on Tharja! What a great find!
I'm slowly getting into figure collecting, and also hope they announce Estelle soon!
Thank you! I fear for my wallet for whatever Kotobukiya has in store for their Trails series but I can't wait for Estelle to finally get a nice scale figure 🥰
Great video! I stopped collecting a few years ago but I do miss the hunt.
Good to see you back, awesome pickups, that Xenoblade set up in the back is 🔥 🔥 🔥
Thank you!! I'm really enjoying this new setup too showcasing the Xenoblade girlies :)
Hope you can get ahold of Tharja someday! She really is exquisite! And thank you, I'm really happy with how my background is shaping up :)
A beautiful Video your collection is stunning 🙏🏻 and very nice to hear you talk about childhood memories and finding items that bring back those classic times 😊 I look forward to your next video 👍✌🏻
Thank you so much! :)
Great video! Love seeing those Game Boy games!
Me too 😊
Yeah take your time with trails into reverie it’s amazing.
Thank you! The vita is a lot of fun to collect for with so many great JRPG & VN titles :)
I always feel like I gain so much knowledge from your videos thank you :)
Aww, thanks! I try to insert new things I learn into these videos whenever possible :)
Fun watching this pickup video! I can’t wait for you to get the analogue. I have been playing the Metroid games on it and boy it looks so nice. Can’t wait for the next video. Have a nice week Emily!
I can't wait too! First game I'll probably play is LTTP. Hope you have a nice week as well Erica :)
@@orbalology very good choice :). I remember when my grandmother got LTTP for me when I stayed with her for a summer. Lol it was only $20 at the time.
I think it got held up with the other game I ordered it with but hoping to have that sometime soon in the collection :)
And from my understanding VGP & PNP games often get copies of Special Reserve Games - so may be worth checking their site periodically. SRG also sometimes does a flash sale of left over stock too so hopefully you can snag a copy from one of those options.
My favorite pickup is the Nendoroid Sophie Neuenmuller, super cute!
She really is so adorable!!
I think the time away can also help bring some perspective to your collections & guide you on how you may want to approach them if you decide to get back in :)
I've collected a lot of things over the years and I definitely go through cycles.
There have been so many great releases this year - I think getting overwhelmed by them somewhat contributed to my burnout 😅
Ayyyy you finally got that FFX/X-2! Love to see it!
Yes!! Thank you so much for letting me know about the Play Asia restock :)
Wow old Pokémon games bring back so much nostalgia. I still have my copy of Pokémon Red I got decades ago. I agree with you having physical copies of your fav games for future entertainment 😄
It's great you still have your Red copy! I find having these nostalgic games in the collection so rewarding :)
I dont own but have played with the analogue pocket, its such a good piece of technology. Nice vid!
I can believe I missed this video! Tharja was my favorite female character from Awakening, I paired her with Lon'qu and had a lot of fun 'cause he was super shy and awkward towards female characters and she was all murdery and psycho.
I didn’t know that about FFX-2. Thanks for the tip
The Crow and Renne figures are awesome! Great pick ups! I really need to get that FFX
I'm super impressed with the Kotobukiya Trails figures! They keep getting better & better with every release! (So part of me is glad Estelle hasn't been announced yet, that way we can expect an amazing figure of her once she is lol).
The figures buying game is expensive :o A Valimar figure would be badass too!
Ah, I may have his model kit on the way 😅(thankfully he wasn't super expensive compared to the scales).
I’m almost finishing up Trails in the Sky FC for the first time. I’m glad to be finally getting into the series!
Yay! Glad to hear you're enjoying the journey so far :)
OMG ghost trick got a physical for Nintendo Switch? I love your channel, thank you for mentioning this!
No problem! Definitely a great title to have on the Switch, even though they only released physicals in Asia.
I really envy your collection. Keep up the great videos.
Thanks! Will do :)
I linked it in the description :)
I actually already own The House in Fata Morgana on the Switch but it was cool that some folks were able to get the limited restock for it (though I think it went rather quickly).
Your figures are awesome 👽👍🏼
Thank you :)
Nice pickups! I had a way too busy month with pickups thanks to a collection being dropped off at a local pawn shop, but what I'm most excited for is completing my Trails of Cold Steel collection with a PEGI PS4 copy of Trails of Cold Steel IV through Play Asia. 😊
Ohh congrats!! Glad you were able to complete your Cold Steel collection :)
that figure is beautiful!! loving the pose too
Amazing video Emily, loved seeing all the new pickups and I’m so jealous of your Fire Emblem figures lol
Thank you!! I'm so happy to have added Tharja into the growing collection :)
Nice pickups..I know the feeling of video game burnout.Loving the figures. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much for watching!
Wow! I didn't know Inscyiption had a physical release! That game is quite the experience! Please consider doing a let's play of that game, I love watching people's reaction to that game!
If I get around to figuring out & obtaining some appropriate let's play or stream equipment I'll consider it!
I feel you with burn out. I've got to finish Zero, Azure, Cold Steel 3 & 4 before Reverie and I also want to mix up different styles of games between titles.
These last few months have reminded me how important it is to mix in other genres into the playing rotation! Burnout is real!!
always a great feeling to reaquire childhood games, even if it's something like jimmy neutron attack of the twonkies for gamecube in my case
Haha, yeah I've been tempted to get some known not-so-great games for the sake of nostalgia too :)
@@orbalology ha yeah, I'd imagine pokemon and zelda would rank higher on the priority list
Ghost Trick looks so neat! I love how they went about the jumping between objects mechanic & can't wait to see how it works on the Switch :)
I got this upscaler. It's called a "GBSC" and it makes some older consoles playable on modern TVs. For me it's to enable playing PS1 games on my PS2 since my tv no longer supports the 240p resolution of the PS1.
This is good to know! I’ll likely pick it up soon, as I’ve been meaning to delve back into some of my PS1 collection
@JazzzManSwizz It was affordable too. Like $70 on Ali
Holy crap Inscryption is so good! Play it ASAP. I missed out on all the versions but the PS5 version so thats the one I had to get, but I'm happy to own it physically
Glad you were able to secure a PS5 version! I'll have to play this soon after hearing so many praise it :)
I have to admit you have such a beautiful voice, face and personality. I'm a switch collector too though but I watch to see you ❤
I haven't picked up much recently. I did pick up Tales of Arise for Xbox and Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart for the SteamDeck, but unfortunately the SteamDeck died, so I sent that out and I'm now awaiting the replacement.
Oh no sorry to hear you had issues with your SteamDeck - hope your replacement gets to you quickly!
Nice pick ups I got Marie as well.
Nice! Hope you enjoy Marie - its petty charming :)
September, gaming wise is a huge month and i am not ready lol
After finishing FF XVI, I'm also revisiting older titles in reserve order, all available on PS4. Currently playing XV.
Nice! I'm hoping to join you with starting up FFXV sometime this year :)
Oh no, did I miss the Emma preorder? Time moves too fast, I can't keep up! 😩 But really nice pickups, I'm curious to hear how Inscryption is.
Oh she hasn't been painted so no preorder just yet! I expect her preorder window ill open up in the next month or two :)
@@orbalology Okay that's a relief.
Yeah, the Japanese grading systems are much stricter than in the West. So I don't hesitate when an item is listed as B (or sometimes even C) grade!
I've heard of Where the Water Meets the Wine but haven't looked too much into the gameplay. Have you tried that one?
Haha, the intervention may be on the horizon if GoodSmile decides to release more Trails & FE characters 🙈
I've been having too much fun with oracle of ages and seasons. I played both simultaneously and boy oh boy it's probably my favorite zelda experience. Wish they'd remake those like links awakening and make it just one big epic game
It would be cool to see these transformed into the style of Link's Awakening remake :)
I'd like to see you play through some of these games
You got the Sophie Nendo? Nice! I got it as well!
I think she's my favorite Nendoroid! She really turned out so well :)
Nice pick-ups! I am still waiting for Renne figure from play-asia.
Hope she arrives to you soon! She turned out fantastic :)
@orbalology thank you and yeah, she is!
My July pickups were Worms 3D and Worms Forts Under Siege for the ps2...both are gems. I also got a Sega Genesis model 1 "High Definition Graphics" version. It's not actually HD...of course...but it says that on the console.
Nice pickups! And funny how the definition of 'high definition graphics' can change with time 😂
@@orbalology It seemed good looking at the time :) Maybe I'll get around to Phantasy Star 4 one day.
Gaming burnout is real haha! But yeah just remember you don't have to play them everyday and such. Thankfully they aren't going anywhere 😎👌 nice pickups tho!
Yup, very true. And thanks!
Love your pick up video's Emily!
Thank you! 😁
I think you'll really enjoy the pocket once you get it. Ghost trick is one of my favorite more story focused games.
I'm really excited for the pocket to finally arrive! And good to hear you enjoyed Ghost Trick too, the mechanics look really unique & cool.
@orbalology did you just order the pocket, or did you get the dock, too?
@@baldchinchilla I ordered just the pocket last February!
Inscryption is an incredible game. The horror aspects are more in the theme. It's not a scary horror kind of game.
I actually broke down and ordered ff10, ff10-2 as well a little while ago. The cover art on mine is reversible and has just the title on a white background on the other side though.
Nice! You must have ordered the Japanese multilanguage version perhaps? :)
@orbalology I believe that is the one I have. The cover art with Tidus and Yuna is on the inside of mine with the clean looking white title art on the outside. Looks to be reversible if one wanted to change it.
Ike seems to be happy with the new figure choice...
😂
Jealous of your Tharja figurine 😮
She's my favorite girl from Awakening, I uh...like mean girls 🥴
Her kid was hilarious also. Normally super shy but the way she gets with the charm that her mother gave her 😅
Her character is super fun, and as are her children like you mentioned 😂
I think Ike is about to cut Tharja's butt in half.
😂
Congrats on the reasonably priced Tharja pick up. I wouldn't say I'm burned out but after 100%ing Reverie I've taken a few days off of gaming. Partially because I've been busy and partially to take everything all in.
P.S. Since you said you haven't played Reverie yet but used some of its OST in this vid, do you listen to game soundtracks before playing a game?
I've listened to most Falcom music already, haha. But I these songs I ripped from my collector edition CD and put into the background of that unboxing. I like the tracks so decided to put them in this video too.
I understand you don't respond to dms but how much would it cost to sponsor a video?
After finishing TOTK I am also going thru gaming burnout, so I am slowly recovering from it n.n. My biggest excuse is that my favorite artist has returned so my money and time is currently dedicated to commissioning my main artist to draw ideas I had
Oh art commissions sounds fun! And well worth it if they're from your favorite artist :)
I have to know where did you get the stand that rotates your figures?
I purchased it on amazon. They called it 'Ultra-Quiet Motorized Rotating Display Stand'
Oh boy oh boy oh boy a new video! I know I said this before but you have great hair Emily!
Thanks, Wilmer!
Can't wait to hear your impressions of Reverie!
I'm hoping to clear it before the end of Fall so I can cover it in my Q3 monthly casual review episode :)
No rush on making videos whenever you get to it cool, we know your busy balancing work and getting to enjoy it all. Ive been holding out to get X-2 as physical. I loved X but my hiatus began right after that. VII-X were all awesome in their own ways.
I'm looking forward to trying them out! So far I've only played FF16 & the original FF12, with about half of the original FF7... so I have a lot of catching up to do 😂
Great pickups. Do you think Atelier Marie would be a good place to start the series?
Hmm, I think that you can start with Marie however the gameplay is so different from the modern Atelier games it may not paint the best idea of how the rest of the series is. There's more focus in time management (even when you are playing with the time limit off), whereas the recent games are much more relaxing. Personally I think Ryza 1 is one of the best places to start :)
@@orbalology Cool! Thanks for your reply.
