Yesssss Jeanne D’Arc!!! One of my favorite PSP titles growing up! And Garden Story is adorable - It’s a nice little game to play through for sure! I want a PS5 so bad for FFXVI, but I’m still not quite ready to take the financial plunge yet😂 great haul and video!!
Jeanne D'Arc is an absolute masterpiece! It's easily my favorite strategy rpg of the many dozens I've played. It even gives Fire Emblem a serious run for its money! Have fun with it, Emily! 😸

And I feel you about the PS5 - I had money set aside for awhile but with Trails into Reverie coming out next week I figured it was time to finally make the upgrade. But there are still plenty of great games to experience on the other systems for the time being, so no need to rush :)
Same. Got the TOTK OLED two months ago. And two weeks ago a PS5. My bank account is not happy. The only negative so far about the PS5 is it is SO huge. I hate the size of it. Ho Hum. Totally agree about Level 5. So many amazing games and Jeanne D'Arc not only has great graphics and animation but a really good story (unlike many JRPGs).

Jeanne d'Arc is such a wonderful (and largely unknown) game. There are far too few RPGs based on historical figures and events. And that manual is so awesome! Manuals like that are one of the biggest things that I miss from older generation...
I really miss manuals like this as well! And it would be cool if we saw some new IPs that are largely influenced by past figures/events!

I remember feeling great about getting my own PS5. I wish there were more hours in the day! I still haven't bought a Switch yet myself because if I do, I know I won't play my PSP ever again and their are lots of greats I want to play on it. I getting more and more into retro gaming. I'm an older guy and remember the days of NES and Genesis.
There truly are so many games and console possibilities out there that I haven't tapped into and I hope someday I can get more under my belt. Your collection and gaming acumen is fascinating and you have shown me what other things out there people can try!

Great haul, you have a great voice, and look good, enjoyed watching. I bought a switch last April, played it consistently, until last July, when we got a ps5, now it’s my main system, mostly my ps4 games, play much better

You have a very nice set up and it must feel good to have a PS5 going. Playing on big screens is the way to go, especially with very immersive game like FF16.... and given that Trails into Reverie is about to come out a really great way to experience that as well.

I love how you store your games. A lot of collections I see are just completely crammed on the shelfs but the choice of shelfs makes it look so much more alive.. I suppose? Perhaps I'll do the same somewhere in the future when I got more space, instead of the basic white Ikea shelf I'm using right now (I'm one of those crammed collector).

My only gripe with ps and Xbox is that you can’t connect your Bluetooth headphones to them. Especially since they let you stream those consoles on your computer and use your headphones that way. It just doesn’t make much sense. I really want them to release a full astros playroom game it has so much potential!
Pretty sure you can connect to PS5 with BT headphones, I mean I do it on my Switch.
I think there's a workaround where you have to buy a Bluetooth adaptor. I haven't researched it too much but that's what I saw mentioned on some article. Right now I just have some cheap headphones plugged into the controller but I'm looking for a better headset option soon.
Oh a full on Astros Playroom game would be amazing!

@@orbalology Thank you. Yeah things have been going very well for me. I'm just really tired from working. I work a very physical job at Amazon. I'm from Canada so it's a lot different than the Amazon in the states. I recieved my blue badge today. That means I'm full employment now, along with medical, dental etc with Canada life. Not to sure about every detail on that since I got this today.
So basically I prepare packages for the drivers. Today I got 20 on the pick & stage & that was ranked no 1. It's very hard to get 20. I've been doing that consistenly now for 1 month. Before my numbers were really low like 12 on avg.
Again I am happy you are doing really well. You mentioned you live in California. That's very cool.

Emily, I've played El Shaddai and as far as gameplay its nothing special, but the visual art style is very impressive. It's a beautiful game with very striking visuals and I think it's worth a try.

I really like my PS5, it took me a few years of saving up to get one but so worth it. Not only do I play the games of course but I like watching movies on it
It's funny, I also just purchased a 31-inch LG monitor last week, and it is LEAGUES better than any monitor I've ever had. I like your setup, it seems conducive to getting stuff done but also cozy enough that you can relax there, too.

I got the same Ragnarok PS5 back in February and I still haven't taken it out of the box. LOL. Been too busy with Zelda games.
Also, there's something about seeing your desk in front of your shelves and collectibles that makes the space look so much more complete. Very nice!

Nice light update on your recent gaming life. I'm on the same boat about Chaos double pack, having a bugged version on cart game (especially ports) make em at the bottom of my list, so still haven't pulled the trigger on those.
As for slowing down on purchases, I cannot agree more as a fellow curated collector myself. I reassessed my collection last month and I'm hibernating phase where I don't keep up much with recent releases especially limited print releases. My next set of purchases would be or include:
Rain Code
Chained Echoes
Ghost Trick
Jitsu Squad (SLG version as I hope it will be complete on cart)
Dredge (heard many positive things about)
Oh I'm looking to pick up Rain Code & Ghost Trick as well! Going to wait for when Rain Code goes on sale and probably bundle Ghost Trick with Atelier Marie and something else from PlayAsia :)

Congrats on the PS5. I've had my PS5 standing up since launch without any problems knock on wood. I never heard of The Wanderer but it looks interesting. It sucked having to constantly delete games before the SSD expanded storage update released. I'd recommend installing a 2TB SSD. I made the mistake of buying a 1TB when the update first released just to find out 1TB is not enough. To this day I'm scared to let my PS5 go into rest mode. A bug was bricking some PS5s and almost bricked mine twice. Using an external HDD almost bricked mine as well. Both times took an hour of messing around to get it to work again. Luckily I think system updates have fixed most of these bugs by now. I picked up a 240hz monitor to play PS5 at 120hz but most games don't use it anyways. I heard DENUVO is trying to find a way to stop emulation. For some reason my Nintendo Switch battery does not last as long as my brother's even at launch so I'm usually stuck playing it docked. I'm still amazed by how long the Vita battery lasts
Been putting my PS5 in rest mode for 18 months. No issues.

That's awesome! I wish I had waited to get one. Now the God of War bundle goes on sale often, effectively making it a free copy of the game when you buy the PS5. Unfortunately I find the controller to be painful to use so I don't play it as often as I'd like to.
Oh no, sorry to hear the controller isn't comfortable. Do they make grips for the PS5? I don't think I've come across any but they may be worth looking into.

I'm planning to get a PS5 for the new Mortal Kombat and obviously many other games, congrats on being able to get one! Lately I haven't been playing too many games, mostly just Smash Bros and Animal Crossing.

Jeanne D'Arc is amazing. One of my all-time favorite tactical games. A little on the more "simplistic" side, as you don't have a. lot of "jobs" or fiddling that you do with your characters, but for ME that was part of why I loved it.

Awesome that you got a PS5, I’ve got money set aside for one if I ever decide to take the dive. Nothing really has compelled me to buy one as of yet considering a majority of games I want are still released on PS4. Switch is my heavy hitter for most of my RPGs.
It makes sense to wait on the PS5 if you don't have anything you need to play immediately! I had Trails into Reverie preordered on the PS5 so that along with some other games made me finally pull the trigger :)
