The Penn State wide receivers were under a microscope this weekend. The team's top target, KeAndre Lambert-Smith left spring practice and is reportedly headed to the transfer portal. Is there room for him to come back? The Blue White Illustrated crew discusses that idea, plus what we learned about the passing game during a windy afternoon in Happy Valley. Finally, what is next for the team after Spring practice? We discuss the standout players from Saturday's Blue-White Game and James Franklin's press conference.

My biggest takeaways from the game:
    1. The CB room looked good today. Great to see Harris and Kimber playing against the starters and making some plays especially Harris. Cam Miller looked great when he was covering Julian Fleming.
    2. The Edge group looked elite. Abdul Carter’s getoff is phenomenal, should lead to early pass rush wins like Chop had.
    3. The WR room played well at times today. Harrison Wallace should be the number 1 was very consistent (probably should have caught that TD from Drew though) and showed nice RAC ability. The slot receiver position looks solid. Clifford has good hands, size, and runs good routes. Saunders was getting open and other than his one drop looked good.
    4. No more Beau starting over Drew talk. Beau throws some really questionable passes into coverage and was not good at all, he’s a one read and takeoff QB. The wind was definitely affecting all of the QB’s accuracy, but Drew looked comfortable, took some deep shots, and recognized coverage busts very quickly.

Vanilla scrimmage by backups that can't play in the wind. Pribula still running. Looked liked:
    1. Flashes but no clear replacement for KLS dragging intermediate. Fleming had one catch for five yards on three targets.
    2. Good to see Cousins at guard. Rucci at tackle. Didn't get too see the starting offensive line with Donkoh, Shelton, Worlmey and Nelson held out.
    3. No special teams. Who's running back punts? Is there a long distance kicker between Barker/ Sahaydak and Meyer? Was Franklin was too quick to bring in Lustig as the 5th special teams coach.
    3. Rookie mistakes at linebacker and secondary. Great game from Harris but gave up leverage on a pass to Miller. Saw what happened to the young guys in Peach Bowl.
    4. Three recruits from the 2025 class were spotted. Who else made the trip? Verbal coming? Is there room for a transfer portal addition? By everyone's math were still over the limit.

The big news for the first time in years a runing back made someone miss in space (London Montgomery) and another showed great vision (Quinton Martin.)

Team looked rejuvenated and refreshed. It was a blast to see the players, coaches, and fans all having a good time. This team is poised to come out this fall in a better place mentally and physically and emotionally. Spring ball baby

Keander Lambert Smith is going to addition by subtraction. Kid has tons of potential, but has never had it as a teammate. His production never matched his view of himself. Best of luck kid

I would have thought Fleming would have been on Drew’s team catching passes from him. Isn’t that what we brought him in for? To be that top guy.

@@robsherrill8130 I know they won’t show anything because it’s spring, but us fans want to at least see a few throws. How’s the chemistry?
